This is basically a chillis with allot of flare. The food with the exception of the shrimp was almost inedible. The service attempts to be good but is muddled and confusing. Edith's provides excellent service and delicious food! Sure, it's pricey (on par with a fine dining restaurant in Southern California) but I can't complain because everything was so great! We called in the afternoon the day of for a reservation and they only had 5pm and 9pm openings. We opted for the 5pm and were the first ones in the door. They provided unique complimentary starters that tasted great. We ordered the tuna tartar, Caesar salad, walley's special and the chicken enchiladas. We also got the flan for dessert. Highly recommend the tuna tartar and walley's special. The chicken enchilada was nothing special but still good. Also the service was so great! We got a band to sing to my husband for his birthday, and constant service to fill up our waters. Would definitely recommend others to check this place out. Pricy but worth it. I feel like you always have to visit one fancy restaurant while on vacation and Edith's hit the mark. I made the reservation later in the afternoon so they only had a 9pm available. Plan to book early if you want to eat earlier. The restaurant was pretty crowded when we arrived but we were seated right away. The vibe was classy casual, people in button ups but you wouldn't get kicked out if you're in a T-shirt and shorts. The house tostada was a nice start, they provided bread but nothing too special (both were complimentary). I had the Wally special which included sea bass, lobster, and shrimp. The sea bass was my favorite, very flavorful. I was debating just having the catch of the day which would have been only sea bass and I wish I would have gone that route. The shrimp had a Cajun flavor. Lobster was good and paired well with my wife's steak. The steak was cooked medium and was very tender. I got the NY steak and my fiancé got the Wally - the seabass was the best I have ever tasted. Another member of our party said her margarita was the best margarita she has ever had. Our severs were extremely prompt and quick, we were in and out in an hour for a dinner of 7 people. It is certainly on the expensive end, each meal costing around $100 usd, though. read more

I don't usually review restaurants, but I felt the need to give a 5 star review for Ediths. I had always wanted to eat at Ediths since I heard it was a very popular restaurant. I made reservations a month before I even came down this time, since they were always booked in my past trips to Cabo. The restaurant is colorful and beautiful. The service is impeccable. No one tried to upsell us anything because they are way too busy. The drinks were delicious, the food was amazing and they even brought my daughter dessert for her birthday. Service was fair, although there were plenty of help the waiter wasn't the friendliest. Didn't explain the bisque or chowder. I ordered a strawberry blended cocktail which by the taste of it, contained bitter orange juice. I ordered the fish of the day which was the sea bass. It was a very generous piece of fish however, it was so dry and overcooked it flaked so much I couldn't even pick it u with my fork. No moisture at all. The mashed potatoes were cold. I can't comment on the spinach because I didn't even try it. My husband ordered Wally's mixed seafood plate, lobster, shrimp and sea bass. He said his fish was also very dry, his lobster was really rubbery and chewy, but the shrimp was good. Our bill was $200.00 us dollars. Not worth it. Will not be returning. I think if our waiter had paid any attention to us and or our plates they would have notices the food not being eaten. read more

My only complaint is they are closed during their slow season, which I also understand and don't blame them. Our favorite little dinner spot! We come here down to Cabo often and we always go to Edith's! Located right towards the bottom of the street with valet parking so very easy to get to! Adorable inside/ outside decor with blown glass everywhere! All staff here is so nice and always ready to help with anything you need. Food here is amazing as always, we've tried a bunch of things on the menu and each one was fabulous! Stand our dishes were the grilled prawns with butter and the lobster bisque! Lobster bisque had amazing flavor and wasn't too rich! They also do a table side Caesar salad which is so fun to watch. The presentation of each dish is so pretty, and tastes even better! Things began with a complimentary chef's appetizer that was amazing- then a table side display of the fresh fish and steaks available along with other daily specials. The next course was the table side preparation of an amazing Ceasar salad that was perfect with anchovies. The meal was deliciously hot and plated nicely and the steak was prepared perfectly medium. First the complimentary tostada appetizer was light and airy and prepped us for the good stuff to come. We all split two Caesar salads which are made table side (like the birthplace of the salad in Tijuana) and you can taste how fresh the ingredients were. I got the chicken enchiladas and added three fried shrimp. I appreciate you can add whatever you want to any entree to customize it. Best enchiladas I've ever had. Fried shrimp were huge and fresh tasting. Margaritas were really good and strong. I recommend the cucumber margarita which was refreshing. We were all stuffed. It's a tourist trap that you might want to try once with a group but the food is expensive and isn't great. They turn and burn tables fast to maximize revenue so you'll get hustled in and out quickly and probably won't leave satisfied. The truly amazing thing about Edith's is after 14 years of going here it is still a memorable dinner experience and it is all about the food. Yes, the interior is a wonderful setting. The wait staff is super attentive and some desserts are made table side with a flair. However, the real reason to go has always been the amazing consistency of the food quality. For this visit I started with a shrimp bisque soup that served in a bread bowl. To say it was amazing was an understatement. Wow! For the main dinner course I went for a fresh seafood combination of sea bass, lobster, and shrimp. How could you go wrong with that? Well, in other places I am sure there ways to make that happen but not at Edith's. It was perfect and the waiter even took the lobster tail out of the shell without needing to ask - it would have been okay for me staying in there but this is part of the service experience! For 14 years this has been a must stop place when visiting Cabo San Lucas, and I am glad it still remains so! read more

What a great restaurant! We loved our dinner! Started with mini half bean tostadas on the house served on taco shaped dishes followed by grilled fish tacos appetizers which were both very delicious! The chicken enchilada plate comes with 3 good sized enchiladas and the Pancho Villa combo was excellent with a grilled marinated chicken breast, steak enchilada and a chile relleno. Me & my best friend were in LOVE with this restaurant. We had went to more "popular" restaurants when we first got to Cabo and they were great but the service @ Edith's BLEW US AWAY. It was one of the best services I've ever had. Anything we asked for, it arrived within less than A MINUTE. I'm not even exaggerating. When I first walked into Edith's I noticed that's there was a unique ambiance. The restaurant was packed, but it was still quiet. It had this charming feeling. The high ceilings with decorations was beautiful and caught my eye. My wife and I enjoyed to free little bite that the provided to us at the start. We decided not to have appetizers because we knew we wanted dessert. My wife ordered Wally's Special with the catch of the day being sea bass. I ordered the New York Strip. The food came out hot and we both tried each others plates. Both of them were delicious. I would say the best was the sea bass with the green sauces they served it with. My steak was also very tender and had a ton of flavor. At the end of the meal we did decide to have the flambéed bananas with ice cream. If I did this review a year ago, it would have received 5 stars. I spent the entire year speaking highly of this place as a must go when in Cabo. However, our most recent experience aligns with many of the other low star reviews you see. Service is sterile and repetitive. Food is good, but no longer matches the price point. Our table was completely abandoned after our dinner order was taken. No one checked up on food, no one offered more beverages, no one offered dessert.. no one even came back to give us our bill. After asking two servers for our bill and 30 minutes passing by, I thought they didn't want our money. $650 for 4 guests for a 2 star dinner. Very disappointed in Edith's and agree with other reviewers that there are plenty of other locations to spend your evening near by. read more

I'll start by saying this. Edith's is a super nice restaurant and the service is amazing. But.... I struggled with Edith's. I never downplay restaurants on purpose because I'm all for promoting a business if it lives up to the hype, all in food, service, ambience and anything I can think of to help the hype. But it always falls back on the food and environment for me. On authenticity and how the chef's creativity is to either keep traditional dishes legit or whip up a dope version of their own. And hey, we're all different but this was MY experience, I'm sure others will vary. Edith's is one of those places where you won't find a local for the life of you. Not a bad thing at all and maybe this was the intent (or night), but this was definitely design and catered to a traveling tourist menu $$$. You'll find things like Organic Salads, Steaks, Grilled Seafood, Chowder, Carpaccio and semi decent Enchiladas. Don't look for authentic here or affordability. And honestly, the food wasn't bad. I just don't think I'd ever eat there again if I had the choice. Here was supper. Complimentary Tostada - Bean and Cheese. Fresh. It was fire. Lobster Taquitos - Good app. Different style of Taquitos for sure. Lobster Lettuce Wraps with Rice and Beans, a Guajillo Sauce and Sour Cream. Wrapped in a flour tortilla. Worth the order. Quesadillas Tres Maria's - Red is filled with Shrimp and Cheese, was decent. Green is filled with Squash Blossoms, Epazote and Cheese, this one was it yo, and the White is filled with Rib Eye and Cheese. Green was my fav. Tampiquena Fillet - The Fillet Mignon was cooked perfect. I didn't care for the Enchilada or the Rice and Beans, and I already had the Green Quesadilla which was solid. They added in a piece of fried Plantain. Idk. Kind of all over the place for me. I'd skip this next time and try something else. But the Fillet was good. Baja Style Shrimp - The Shrimp was solid. Large butterflied Shrimp in a Garlic Sauce served with Tomato Basil and Avocado Slices. Again, I didn't understand that part of the dish but the Shrimp was good. Banana Flabee with Vanilla Ice Cream - Always good. Worth the order. IG worthy. Idk, it wasn't for me but maybe your experience is different. Enjoy my friends. read more
