I have some mixed emotions here as the food itself was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was also good. La Frida is one of the several options which are not inclusive in the all inclusive food package, and while I am ok with there being these options, I was not ok with the "Drink" suggestion. Our waited asked if we wanted any drinks and both my wife and I asked for a Paloma, he asked if we would prefer to have one of their signature drinks instead and recommended the Margarita Friday. He said there was an additional charge for it, and we agreed ( I guess this is my fault to not ask what the charge would be ). When we got the bill, the charge was about 45 bucks per drink, maybe its just me but if someone says there is going to be an additional charge and its FOURTY FIVE bucks for a margarita, they should say more than "there is an additional charge".

Enjoyed the food it was a great. The customer service was great. The tuna tartare was amazingly good. The salad was amazingly good. The mussels were delicious. My Cousin said he loved his oysters. My sister said she loved her appetizer. It was so amazing. We had a really good time. We definitely will be going back.

This was our third time here, celebrating our 3rd anniversary where we celebrated our wedding. It was also probably the best meal we ever had here. As with much of the restaurants at Pacifica and Sunset as of November 2023 are updated; new dishes abound. For being all-inclusive PB keeps this menu fresh and creative. There is a great variety of sauces and ingredients with a focus of what is grown in Baja or their own gardens. This is quite impressive. Every experience at La Frida can start with their bar cart...drinks made tableside! If wine is preferred, they have a Wine Spectator winning list focused on wines from Mexico. The native wines are generally well made and use familiar varieties, a better bargain than anything from USA or Europe. Service is professional and timed well. Nothing comes quickly unless you want it, but there is no point to rush. Food this time was all good. It's properly prepared and served at a perfect temperature, no waiting for a plate to cool down. Each dish this time was unique and different with incredible team service on the outdoor covered patio. This is worth a visit if you are staying any of the Pueblo Bonito properties in Cabo.

The best restaurant we ate at during our stay! There is an up charge of $30 per person but worth it! The food and service here is great. Also order the Mexican coffee, there is an additional charge but you get a performance and the coffee is amazing. Highly recommend!!

More extreme overpriced wine... google it!

I really wanted to like this place and had high hopes after coming here about 12 years ago and enjoying that previous experience. For the price paid I expected to be amazed but it was not to be. Our party of 8 arrived 15 minutes early for our 5:30 pm reservation, the place was completely empty and we were told to come back in 15 minutes. Ok so we all went back upstairs and got a cocktail at the bar, which ended up getting poured into plastic cups to take back downstairs at 5:30. Fine. We got seated and ordered a few of their specialty "starter" cocktails which were interesting, but that turned out to be the only good thing about our dinner experience. The sommelier brought the wine menu on an iPad and I ordered a bottle of way overpriced Pinot Grigio. I was considering ordering a red wine but the prices were completely ridiculous even with our all inclusive plan. US to peso conversion rate during our stay was approx .05 so even the cheapest bottle of white wine was around $60, and most were over $100 USD. Welcome to California 2.0 lol! So I opted to just go to the house red included in our all inclusive package. There was no air conditioning in the restaurant and it was 90 degrees outside. We asked for a fan several times but none was provided. We ordered our meals, and it took them about an hour to bring out the first course after we ordered. Again, the place was empty so I've got no idea why the first, second and 3rd courses took over 2.5 hours in total. Which might have been ok had the food been stellar, but sadly, it was quite average and the prime rib was like rubber and hard to cut. Desserts were nothing special either, which didn't come until after 8 pm. By then we were all exhausted from the heat and lack of air as the place began to get quite busy and full of people by this point. Service was exceptionally sloooowwww. Overall, for the up charge of $35 per person USD on our all inclusive plan I just don't think the overall experience was worth it. Plus if you order the lobster it was an additional $100 USD on top of that. Just ridiculous even by California standards and super unexpected in a place like Mexico which you come to hoping for more reasonable prices. And the wine list pricing, well, in comparison I suggest going to a nice restaurant in Napa instead. I won't be back. I'm dumbfounded at the pricing here for what you get. Stick with the "included" drinks instead for value if you do come here. They really take advantage of tourists here.

A wonderful experience . From our lovely server Fabiola, the complimentary finger empanada and the pianist to accompany our meal, this is an amazing restaurant, my favorite in Cabo. Everything was 10/10. Must try if you are staying at the pueblo bonito resort or sister resorts!

Booked a reservation here last minute on my last night in Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant is located inside the Pueblo Bonito Sunset property. Once you enter the lobby, you can take the stairs or elevators down. The ambiance is a nice mix of traditional Mexican decor combined with an elegant flair: white table cloths, dim lighting, candlelight, extravagant chandeliers, and multiple painted portraits of Frida Kahlo. I also enjoyed listening to the pianist who played romantic tunes all night long. If possible, you should request outdoor seating -- it faces the pacific coast of Cabo San Lucas. The beach provides a beautiful backdrop of crashing waves, swaying palm trees, and a gorgeous sunset. Our server, Fabiola, politely greeted us and introduced our sommelier (I don't remember his name). Both provided excellent service throughout the night. I started off with the Garden salad. It was an excellent combination of different textures and flavors. Honestly, one of the best salads I've ever had. Before our entrees, they served us with a small cup of Lychee citrus sorbet. It was light, refreshing, and delicious. For my entree, I chose the Salmon with seaweed salad and oyster sauce. Pieces of sliced citrus fruit lay evenly atop the salad. It added the perfect amount of acid and subtle sweetness to the dish. Fabiola said that the Funnel cake is popular, so I decided to order it. It's filled with eggnog cream, served with vanilla ice cream, and drizzled with warm butterscotch sauce. Esta muy rico!! If you're in the area, this restaurant is worth the trip - especially during the sunset hour. Beautiful location, excellent customer service, and an award-winning culinary experience.

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend if you have the all inclusive (AI). Otherwise, it is very pricey. Also, be careful. The bottled water is not free (if you are paying cash and not AI) and ended up being about $12 for Fiji water. Our party of 10 was served 8 bottles ($96). They were very generous in keeping our water glasses full. Excellent service.

This was my second time here when staying at Pueblo Bonito. By far the best restaurant on property with the kindest staff!

Decor in the restaurant and the delicious food I ordered.

This place is amazing. Great food, ambiance and excellent service. The sunset and views from the outdoor seating area is breath taking. Make sure you get seats at the patio outside to see the beautiful sunset over the ocean. It's one of my definitive stops when I'm in Cabo.

I'll tell you right now if you're anywhere near Cabo and you skip Los Tres Gallos, you messed up…read more This place sits right in downtown but once you walk inside boom beautiful courtyard, lights hanging everywhere, and a mariachi band that doesn't just play music... they attack your table with joy. I'm talking the kind of band that makes you want to order another margarita just so you can clap along like you suddenly grew up in Guadalajara. And the food? Real-deal Mexican classics mole, enchiladas, chile rellenos big flavors coming out of a kitchen that knows what it's doing. Now let's talk about the chips and salsa, because I didn't come here to play games. Some restaurants give you chips like they're doing you a favor three chips and a little salsa like it's a museum sample. Not here. These chips show up ready to party. Crunchy, warm, and the salsa hits you like, "Hola amigo, welcome to flavor." Add the incredible service and that mariachi band floating through the courtyard and suddenly dinner turns into a whole event. Honestly, this place was one of the highlights of my Cabo trip and my socks? Yeah... they're still somewhere on the floor from those chips and salsa.

But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.

The views are stunning and since we arrived on a cruise ship and were treated to views of our ship from the table. The restaurant is beautiful. Cannot do it justice by trying to describe how beautiful the restaurant and the property as a whole is. Suffice it to say . . . Stunning! Service was impeccable our servers Ohnel and Arturo did not miss a beat. This is definitely a cannot miss destination and will be my definite stop every time I return to Cabo I felt the prices were very fair especially for such a high end restaurant and the food was exceptionally fresh. From the fresh catch of the day to the Shrimp Diabla (Camarones Diabla. The sauce was decadent Now you must try the guac. They prepare it table side and not only is it a site the behold but the flavors are to die for This was my first time in Cabo and certainly will not be my last. Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

The place itself does not have a high-end vibe or atmosphere, so the pricing just didn't match the experience at all. The service was nice, I'll give them that, but the food did not justify the cost. The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous!
