    Vegetables with my shrimp entree

Well before embarking on my trip, I made a list of places to dine in Cabo. One of them was, Mi Casa. It is located in the downtown area and it was Uber who took me there to have my Cena (dinner). Walking in, you are immersed in a short walkway, to get to the dining area of the restaurant. During that brief journey, you are treated to wonderful statues, wall hangings, sculptures depicting the rich culture, artistry and skill of the Mexican people. Once you reach the main area, there is artwork and crafts all around you. A wonderful ambiance, very unique, with perfectly volumed local music in the background. For starters, there is the complimentary chips and only one salsa. There was no habanero, so when I asked for it, a trio of salsas appeared, one of which was habanero. Looks like they missed the standard chips and salsa tray. Better late, than never. For my meal, it was the Camarones Aguardiente (Sauteed Baja shrimp in a garlic, guajillo & tequila sauce; served with rice and sauteed vegetables for 870 pesos). The dish arrived beautifully presented, on sharp eye catching crockery. Instead of rice, they supplied freshly made tortillas. The shrimp had a first time flavor for me, lovely optics too. Unfortunately, it was overcooked and rubbery to the bite. Service was scanty and callous. Still, a must visit place, for an evening out, in Cabo San Lucas.

Mi casa is a great stop if you want very authentic Mexican food. They have a selection that ranges from Yucatán style to traditional and all the must-haves of Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants in Mexico have a very laid back and slow serving time but that it's the opposite at Mi Casa! This was some of our fastest serving time during our whole stay. They have Baja California cerveza (fat tuna) and large, tasty, and STRONG margaritas! All of the food is delicious and hits the spot if you're looking for traditional Mexican flavors. My personal favorite was the Mole Poblano because it was worlds better then anything in the States. Only downside is that they have several tip seeking gimmick performers in the restaurant including a mariachi band, balloon animal clown, and a fortune telling bird, plus a women in the restroom who will turn on faucets for you, pick your stall, and wipe down your seat. While this is common at many restaurants in Cabo, normally there is just one performer so you only have to say "No" once, whereas here you do have to fend off multiple vendors. To be fair, the mariachi music is good and the bird fortune teller is kinda cool, so if you're okay with the dinner interruptions and that experience then more power to you

Overall it's ok The ambiance is a classic mexican style with bright colors and tile floors. The food was mixed I definitely recommend the carnitas, the fajitas were ok but the margaritas were pretty toxic

Best authentic Mexican food we have had in Cabo. Our server in the photo is the best, very attentive to all of our needs.

Everything, from the time we were seated to our departure we all felt welcomed and at home.

Our taxi driver told us it was the best Mexican food in Cabo. He was right! The food was amazing! The atmosphere was authentic. As you enter you are surrounded by day of the dead dolls and a bartender whipping up the biggest margueritas you've ever seen! Very unique. As we ate we were serenated by a mariachi band that was very good. They took requests and played margueritaville for our table. We had a seasoned expert create the best guacamole at the table as we all watched. My carne asada dish was delicious! Thanks to Trace at Third Coast for hosting. You have to stop at Mi Casa! It was the best!!!

I recommend Mi Casa to someone visiting Cabo for the festive ambience and colorful decor throughout. The place is much larger than it looks from outside with many rooms to explore. The food was also quite good- on the pricey side yet portions are ample so can share if desired. We celebrated my son's birthday there and it was super fun. The service we had was good. Thankful there is also a kids menu. I thoroughly enjoyed perusing the gift shop after our meal and picked up a few gifts.

A home away from home. Mi Casa isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience! The sprawling space feels like a cozy home, each room with its own charm. I loved seeing fresh tortillas being made and the lively entertainment - a band one night, balloon making, even a fortune teller! The staff made me feel like family, and the food? Absolutely delicious. It was so good, I went back three times during my week-long trip. Highly recommend Mi Casa for a fun and flavorful night out!

If your looking for a restaurant with a festive Mexican ambiance this is your place. The food was delicious and the service is super friendly and ready to cater to your individual needs. We loved them. It'll the night we went was a bit loud and Routty in there but we made the best of it. Everyone had different meals and everyone was pleased. Mariachi band was awesome. Def a go too!

Incredible dining experience! Best meal that we ate while in Cabo. We made a reservation the day of for 7pm and they were able to seat us. The interior is so decorated and festive. They also have an outdoor seating area in the back. You'll walk by the lady making homemade tortillas and churros on your way to your table. We each had the Mexican combo since we wanted to try several of their traditional dishes. I had the carnitas, lobster enchilada and mole chicken which were all incredible. The table side guac was also delicious. They have a mariachi band playing and the service was phenomenal. It's pricey but worth it in my opinion. We can't wait to come back and will be recommending this place to all those who visit Cabo in the future!

I'm talking the kind of band that makes you want to order another margarita just so you can clap along like you suddenly grew up in Guadalajara. And the food? Real-deal Mexican classics mole, enchiladas, chile rellenos big flavors coming out of a kitchen that knows what it's doing. Now let's talk about the chips and salsa, because I didn't come here to play games. Some restaurants give you chips like they're doing you a favor three chips and a little salsa like it's a museum sample. Not here. These chips show up ready to party. Crunchy, warm, and the salsa hits you like, "Hola amigo, welcome to flavor." Add the incredible service and that mariachi band floating through the courtyard and suddenly dinner turns into a whole event. Honestly, this place was one of the highlights of my Cabo trip and my socks? Yeah... they're still somewhere on the floor from those chips and salsa.

But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.

Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe.
