The games, laser tag, and bowling are great!!! Nothing to complain about there... the 3 stars comes from the service. We bowled for an hour and no one ever came to serve us. Other lanes were ordering food and having drinks delivered and we were never asked if we wanted anything. We ended up going up to the bar. There was only one bartender and he was swamped so I wasted over 10 mins waiting for drinks when we only had 60 mins to bowl. Also it was insanely hot in there. We were sweating the whole time. Amazing as always! My family goes to Edison's at least four times a year. With each visit we have never been disappointed. Tons of fun for everyone!!! I recently visited on 2/14/19. The workers were pleasant, attentive, and informative. I went during bowling league night and had to wait for a lane. A group of us met for a friend's birthday and we had a great time! We made a reservation for the dinner part, as there was 12 of us and our tables were ready immediately. Our server was upbeat and very attentive. The specials were amazing - you can't beat $5 Malibu buckets. We ordered our appetizers, and food and it all arrived within a reasonable time. From there we went over to the bowling alley. Just a hint, if you order a soda in the restaurant part, you can continue to get refills while playing the games. Just ask your attendant at the alley part, they kept them coming. The cost to play is $10 an hour, per person, which is high and fair warning, if you aren't done with your game within that hour, they will end it without you finishing it. But its automatic lanes, so if you need bumpers, they will come up on the person who needs them, not for the entire time, which is nice. read more

First of all, my kids love Edison's so they would give it a 5. As far as places to take the kids for some fun, it's pretty great (especially given the alternatives). There is a large arcade, laser tag, and bowling alleys along with some dining options. While I wouldn't go out of my way to have an adult dinner at Edison's, the food is definitely better than I would have expected at their restaurant. I love they they have laser tag but the area is small and seems more like they were checking it off a list as an inclusion item rather than fully investing in a great laser tag experience. The arcade is nice. The prices seem high but the overhead costs are probably pretty high too so maybe it they are reasonable. They do a really nice job maintaining everything and keeping things clean. Overall, I think it's a very solid entertainment choice for kids. read more

Not great for birthday parties. Coordinators aren't good with kids and not very organized. Could be fun if people knew what they were doing. Clear they don't and everything is a transactional process. What would help is event coordinators actually talking to the parents prior explaining everything as well as engaging with the kids during the process. read more

If you are not white or straight, you will NOT be accepted here. This place does not treat its staff or customers well. The food is terrible and overpriced, the staff is poorly trained and reflects their poor treatment to the guests who can get a better deal for their entertainment dollar elsewhere. The arcade is small and leans towards redemption games. The laser tag is also small and not worth playing. The bowling alley is the only thing they have that is decent and even then, there are better deals around town. This place is just waiting for a lawsuit. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place, unless you like being treated poorly and ripped off. read more

I normally wouldn't be compelled to review a family entertainment center, but I had an exceptional experience at Edison's on 5/6/2018. The staff was super friendly; especially Amy who greeted us at the front counter. She was very helpful in describing the inclusive entertainment packages - all of which are a great deal ($16 for unlimited access to the entire complex for two hours)! My kids both have gluten allergies and she assured us that there were plenty of options for them in the restaurant. They both ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza which they loved! Our server, Josh was very friendly and super helpful with the allergies as well. The service was better than most other restaurants that I eat at! We will definitely be back. One suggestion: Edison's needs mini golf! read more

For my son's 9th birthday party we took him here. We reserved the Genius Level birthday package. Don't let the website fool you, it says 250 for 8 kids, and 275 for 10, along with a 50 dollar deposit they say goes towards tour bottom dollar. However, even with the deposit taken out, expect to pay 300+ dollars. The fees don't even really make sense. My son loved it though. An hour of bowling, half an hour to eat pizza, two games of laser tag, and the remainder of the time is spent in the arcade. Don't expect to get to play some of the better games though, and you won't know which one that is until you swipe your surge card. They take care of the decorating, the planning, hosting, and clean up. So that's nice. They provide enough cupcakes for the kids, a t-shirt, and drawstring bags. You get two pitchers of unlimited soda, and two 1-topping pizzas. All in all, it's expensive, but your kids will love it. While there are cheaper party options to choose from, this one is the best. read more

Took a seven year old and a seventeen year old here to play some games and do some bowling, have a couple of drinks and an appetizer or something. Dear God the experience was terrible. The service was so slow. It took twenty minutes to get an order of Onion Rings. We saw in the menu that it came with creamy sriracha sauce. We asked about that and she said oh that was just one of many misprints in the their menu. I ordered a drink, a long island ice tea. She brought it back and said I could only have one because they ran out of sour mix. Not to mention, before this, I had ordered Jalapeno Poppers, oh guess what there were out of those too. There was a group of young people at the booth next to us, they had been waiting 2 hours to bowl. My seven year old that was with us was fascinated with the bowling so they offered us their spot in line, because they had to leave. The staff first told them, thirty minutes, then and hour, then an hour and a half, so they gave up. Well our pager went off went up there and took their spot. It was ten dollars for one hour of bowling. My daughter and here husband joined when they came through and it was nearly seventy dollars for one hour of bowling. Then there were mechanical problems on the lane that the ball wouldn't return, called maintenance and they took about five minutes to fix it, but gave us no credit for the time the lane was down. We didn't even get through all ten frames. I would not recommend this place unless they improve, because right now all they are is a pricey arcade. Go buy your kids an XBox and fix your own food, it will be much more fun trust me ! read more

It Friday, we didn't want to cook...we had heard Edison's had good deals with good food. I was skeptical! But, I'm now impressed! The food is very good. I was worried about several items on the menu and asked if they were gluten free. The cook came over to talk with me and with his help I picked a nice variety that I wouldn't have imagined that I could eat: portabello mushroom stuffed with crab meat, cream cheese with roasted tomatoes on top, bacon wrapped chicken livers with Asian sauce, beef kebab with mushrooms & green peppers, roasted Brussel sprouts and corn on the with parmesan cheese. This came with house salad and two glasses of wine for $20. It was a good deal! Bonus- we are on the patio with warm sun and a nice breeze. After days & days of rain this is just what I needed. Plus, a live guitar/harmonica playing singer Joe Fry Guitrrguy, playing 60s-80s tunes. I may embarrass John and do a dance! Extra bonus- they have a peated Scotch! I'm loving it. The reason I have gone from 4 stars to 3 is because I had some digestive upset the next morning: having celiac disease I cannot have more than 1/4 of a teaspoon of gluten, if I do I have issues. And then me and my daughter in laws had a girls day out and went there to bowl and have some drinks and appetizers we are planning another girls day out soon and I think we are heading back to Edison's. Brought the kids to enjoy their Saturday with some friends. Have to say the entertainment packages make it affordable to have a lot of fun for not to much money. You can bowl for an hour, two games of laser tag and 50points on an arcade card for $24 a person. They also have a pick two option for $18 a person. We didn't have to wait in line for laser tag to long because it's up to 24 players at a time. I do wish that they would let the kids know what player they were in the game so they could tell which score was theirs, but no a huge deal they had a blast any way. Also we ate lunch and it wasn't bad. Kids got a decent amount of food and a sundae for $5.95 each. I had chicken tacos and was impressed. It was very busy because it was Saturday but we will be back for sure. read more

Unfortunately we decided to start our new year off with a common family outing to Edison's. Typically one of our "go to" places for a lot of fun, good food , and excellent service. This time Edison's went 0 for 3. I am extremely shocked by the events that took place. First, I was told it would be 1/2 hour to get a bowling lane. No big deal, New Years Day they should be busy. It was closer to an hour. That's fine. Secondly, we get in our lane to bowl and the lane is malfunctioning before we can even get started. The gentleman that was working said the lane had been giving him multiple problems for days. After multiple problems, they decide they will switch us lanes. No problem. We wait 10 minutes and all the sudden they tell us just bowl because the gave the other lane away. There where 5 open lanes they could of gave but they insisted we stay in the malfunctioning one. Fine. We order food.... I am told the only thing we are out of is spring rolls.... no problem again. We order our food and it comes out in a timely fashion. I get to looking at it and on a 4 appetizer tray, two things are substituted. I asked the waitress and she said " we where very busy last night and we had to sub some items out". Would of been nice of her to tell me when she brought the food out. Not for me to have to inquire about it. Then when I wanted to switch to something else and I was inconveniencing her and to push the other items on a plate so she can take them back. (Like I was trying to get free food). Really??? The manger that I see every time I am there ,which is quite often , came out and was very nice and offered to buy my dinner. A nice gesture. I assured him that I wasn't looking for a free meal , I was just very disappointed in what had transpired this evening. The bowling alley never did work. The girl at the counter said "I am gonna need a receipt before I can help you at all". I had the shoes in my hands for all four of us and the lane number with our names on it. This was done in malice because I was unhappy that our lane was messed up and on top of all of it they knew it and still put us on this lane. I understand that everyone had a rough night every once in a while but to mess up on all three aspects of our New Year's Day is extremely disheartening. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come for this place. I know for a fact this place prides itself on their customer service separating them from other places and they really missed the mark this time. Ps. I always tell them when they do a good or great job so I am not just complaining to complain. I want them to improve so we can continue to enjoy this place. I usually really enjoy Edison's and I don't often leave poor reviews. Tonight was a mess though. We came in late, but with plenty of time to complete more than a game of bowling before close. However, our lanes repeatedly messed up. In the beginning it took us many tries to get pins to appear at all and our lane continuously froze causing problems. Additionally the floor was slippery and had sand on it making it difficult to walk much less bowl. One person fell hard and hurt their knee. I had to go to the front desk to fix the pins so many times I couldn't enjoy my game. By the time one party finished the other had to sit and wait long enough to had played more than a half of another game. None of this would have caused me to write a negative review because machinery breaks and I tend to be understanding. The bigger problem was the employees who were talking bad about our group and complaining that "people always do this shit to get free games" and other negative things as though we could control the situation at all. They didn't realize members of our group were near them as they had went to the bathroom. The only reason I am giving two stars is because of past experiences and a couple of nice employees that were trying to be helpful. read more

The only place the chaperone could sit was at the bar which is awkward if you aren't drinking or eating. It is super expensive so bring your wallet. The game selection is lacking. Most if the games are 1 second ticket games. I do like that they are green in that you don't have to carry around the Chuck E Cheese bucket of paper tickets. Good fun, go broke. read more

We had a large group for a birthday diner. The birthday boy was especially excited for the all you can eat crab legs. We started receiving our food 45 minutes after we ordered. 1 steak, 1 burger, Mac n cheese all had to be sent back for reheating. The steak came back practically burnt, the Mac n cheese came back soupy, and the burger was great. 2 people ordered all you can eat crab legs, which they finally received an hour after order and sent them back since everyone else was already finished eating. The appetizers were good- wings, fried green beans, onion rings. The manager did apologize and gave us some laser tag and arcade tokens. Whoever the chef is needs to learn how to cook for large groups. The were only 4 tables and at least one other table complaining and sending their food back also. read more

I live in Troy and I had no idea this place was even there!! Once inside I couldn't believe what this place all had in it. It had a really nice bar area with TVs to watch you favorite sports games while having a drink and lots of tables if you would like to sit and grab dinner, they also have a huge arcade area that was all new and up to date. They also have a very nice bowling alley with huge big screens above the lanes to watch your favorite game while you bowl. We were there for a baby shower and the food that was there all tasted good about average but I think the main selling point is all the stuff that you can do there especially if you have kids. This will be a place that we will for sure go back too. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that it was kind of pricey read more

This mainly concerns the restaurant although our sons did visit the arcade; half price since we had purchased dinner there. There were several minor snafus and a few things that were "off" on the food but overall the service was very good and the food was good with generous portions. In fact we started with 4 and 2 later joined us. But we had so much food left that the 2 who joined us ate our "left-overs (untouched) and had plenty. The appetizer plate was a good suggestion and had some pretty decent food and there was plenty for all. 3 of us had ordered the black bean burgers but unfortunately they were out. So we switched to fish tacos. Good, and the fish was of a type that had a strong fish taste so you knew that your protein was the real deal. The quesadillas were good but a bit salty. Sweet potato fries were good as were the salads. Do you like macaroni and cheese? Well, here they serve Cheese and Macaroni (not a typo); I've never had so much cheese in this dish. At first I thought they had brought out a bowl of queso dip in which a few pieces of pasta had fallen! If you are hungry, head to this place and you'll get your moneys worth. And, you can bowl if you feel well enough to waddle over to the lanes after eating. read more

I had some friends in town for the weekend and we went to Edison's to hang out on the patio. It just so happened to be my friends birthday that night. So, two coworkers and I went here over spring and we sat down and ordered their two dollar Tuesday margaritas. I take a sip and so happen to look in my drink and there were TWO HUGE GNATS literally floating around in there as if its some sort of garnish. My friend checked her drink and noticed that she also had a GNAT in her drink as well. Now in times prior to this night I've never had a problem here at Edisons, but once we brought it to the staff members attention they acted as though its common occurrence and did not apologize. I called a couple days later to speak with the bar manager because I have worked in the food business and suggest that the bartenders change the ice and clean the fruit before serving drinks. I spoke with one of the team leaders and she informed me that the Managers were out of town and that I would receive a call. No call was ever received from anyone. read more

Eh. I'm not from around here so I don't have to come again. Cheese pizza was burned. Sausage pizza, if that's what you call it, the sausage was diced into little bitty burned pieces. A $7 margarita and a $5 Malibu bucket and I couldn't taste a bit of alcohol. $22 unlimited game card and you couldn't get any coupons or play the games that gave any sort of prizes. Wow! This is the place to have a birthday party, company party, or just a great time with or without the kids. I was visiting my family and we were looking for something to do that would be fun for the adults as well as my two girls (6 year old and 9 year old). My sister and brother in law said that Edison's is the best place for all of us. First had a great time bowling. Cool lanes, bar service at the lanes ,food service at the lanes, fast and friendly service at the lanes, and huge tv screens to catch up on the game while bowling. The arcade games were a blast stuff for kids and adults. My girls favorite was the laser tag arena so much fun it was a chore to get them to sit down and eat something. Which leads me to the food. The chef has an incredible menu. It's not the typical bar food. The chef created a great menu for any occasion. Pizza, gourmet pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and some great dinner entrées. Group of 8 on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived to find open table, great quick seating, but that's all that was fast. Sat for over 20 minutes before a server came to the table, after we went to hostess to ask for one. Took drink orders, then didn't see them again for another 30 minutes, my wife went to the bar, to get our drinks that had been sitting for 10 minutes waiting to be brought to our table. Food order finally taken and then the waiting began, again. Our food took over an hour to arrive. During this time we saw our server 2 times. Each time they said it would be right up. After asking about our food the manager came over and said they were short staffed and it would be up soon. This was the exact excuse we were given over a year ago when we had the same trouble. When the food finally arrived, half was cold and soggy, sitting under warming lights, and the other was under cooked. We complained the food a cold, and the server quickly snapped back "it isn't cold." How could he know this? We asked again to have the manager come over again, but that never happened. Another 25 minutes pass with no one coming to let us know whats happening. Most in my group was ready to leave without paying as our bill had never been brought. The manager never again came to see us. The server returned and said the manager agreed to take to food off our bill, but he did not appreciate the way we were talking about him. This was the first effort anyone had taken to make our dinning experience better. We paid and left for the last time. This has been my experience my last 2 visits. Service is slow and management does nothing about it. They make excuses about how 3 waiters had quit today, I wonder why that is? The owners are to be blamed. Service starts with them and flows down to their employees. Instead they don't care and it shows. I would love to bring visitors to a local place to eat., but Eddison's will not be this place. When a customer asked to talk to the manger, it should be no more than 5 minutes. The manger never did come see us. The lack of any care for the customer is why i will never go here again. read more
