The lack of common sense is just absurd. As an example, in a subzero winter day, the kids were FORCED to eat OUTSIDE due to their COVID policy. The kids were freezing and when they tried to come back into the building to warm up, the doors were intentionally locked. When they found an open door, the teacher kicked them out. A complaint with the State of Colorado for child neglect and abuse was filed. I think Stanley used to be great but not anymore. I'm sure the recent positive reviews are from parents that fit the woke bill.

Then we called again in February and we were told that we would be first in line this spring most likely, but if not, definitely this summer. This is disrespectful and extremely disconcerting, as now we find ourselves again left out to dry with no explanation given.

If he was as violent as they say he was they were right to ask him to leave, but we have never seen this behavior anywhere else and were not allowed to observe him in the classroom so we do not know what was actually going on. We did not feel that we could trust the teachers or administration because of inconsistencies in their statements. Many of the teachers' complaints were typical preschool behaviors, especially for a child new to the Montessori setting. This made us question the validity of the more serious complaints. We were given two days notice that he needed to leave aftercare. Two weeks later we were given two days notice that he needed to leave the school. They said that they would release his records for his evaluation with Childfind but when I requested the records they stated that they would not provide them. Compass may be a great school for "typical" kids but it is not a supportive setting for children who have developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

I am writing the review based off of an employment not as a parent with a student that goes here…read more My sister has been working here for 6 months now and really enjoys herself. She started in the summer program and really enjoyed the different activities they had throughout the summer for the kids. For example they took the kids swimming every Wednesday, they would have the reptile house or the butterfly pavilion come in several times with different activities for student learning, And they had many discoveries own learning projects that were hands-on for students. When you look at the facility it is very uniquely designed but it looks really cool and they have a lot of hands on activities even outside like gardens and greenhouses. The Montessori is a community learning program that a lot of people seem to like and appreciate. For family and friends of ours that work here it seems like a great school with great employment opportunities as well as learning opportunities for students. A consultation and a tour would be a great thing if you are interested in something like a Montessori.
