If the vet recommends bloodwork, but you suspect treatment would be best administered immediately, then they do that for you. They don't force tests and procedures on you if they have a sneaking suspicion that all it will do is confirm the suspected diagnosis. Saved me $$ not testing my dog for parvo and simply treating her for it. She's back to her crazy happy self and it's because of these amazing guys here. I was specific of all the areas of concerns with Jay during the evaluation. He recommended four sessions for Jazz. At first I thought no way will this Boxer be corrected with four sessions. To my surprise I quickly learned otherwise. First session Jay addressed the running out the front door when opened. Jazz immediately obeyed Jay and myself. So impressive! Second session we needed Jazz to sit on his bed during breakfast & dinner. While his owner in a wheelchair enjoys his meals. Jay accomplished that in half the session. Third session was walking. Being able to keep Jazz on my side and from growling at other people or dogs. In one session Jay empowered me to lead Jazz. A big task for some of us women who struggle with being pack leaders. Jazz and I have been enjoying some lovely walks. Thank you Jay!!! Fourth session was calling Jazz in from backyard. Jazz did well with Jay. That is something I am sure I will master shortly! If not, I now have a dog expert to reach out to for help. Jazz was so excited to see Jay on a weekly basis. Jay was so loving and it made me realized I was not loving with Jazz. He is not my dog but my clients. However, I have started to love on him. This way he feels he belongs to someone and that he is loved. This poor dog came from the shelter during COVID. After searching for emergency vets and pet urgent care centers, I tried getting my cat, Gumdrop,…read moretreated for pyometra at a place in Lancaster but they were going to charge me around $2000 just for diagnostics alone, then another $3000 for an emergency spay! I couldn't afford it and was so scared I'd have to get her put to sleep. Then I called Bishop Veterinary Hospital and was able to get a walk in appointment the very next day! The staff was so helpful and communicated very well, and even the veterinarian himself communicated directly with me about Gumdrop's treatment plan. Gumdrop needed to be spayed anyway, so the vet did not require me to get Gumdrop any diagnostic tests. We decided to just have her spayed without any tests. I paid under $500 for an emergency spay, antibiotics, the walk-in fee, and the post surgery pain medication. I am so grateful to Bishop Veterinary Hospital and can't recommend them enough!

The Dog Haus is the only grooming shop I fully trust, not just for my own pups, but for others as well. It's also the only shop I've ever walked into that actually smells clean! If you closed your eyes, you wouldn't even know dogs were being bathed there. The day before our appointment, they called to confirm. When I arrived with Natasha and Jasper, they took the time to explain exactly how their services worked and asked detailed questions about the haircuts I wanted. To my surprise, they finished quicker than expected, and both dogs came out looking absolutely gorgeous complete with a bandana and a flower. I can't recommend The Dog Haus enough.
