I don't know why this location has such bad reviews? I originally placed an order for the Herndon location but due to it being closed, my order was transferred to this location. After placing my order online I called in to make sure all was well with the order that was supposed to be sent out today. The staff that answered was very nice and helpful. She told me that the order would take 2 hours to transfer to their location and that she would call me when that happens. Less than 2 hours later I got a call notifying me of my order and telling me it was due to be delivered in about an hour. I was amazed at how fast they were able to take the order and get it out. My friend received it and showed it off. To me everything looked fresh and amazingly put together. I was also impressed that my note included was handwritten (it took up 2 cards - sorry). This was my first time ordering with Edible Arrangements and I would definitely do it again! I was also ordering out of state so I was impressed how seamlessly it went through. read more

My family sent us a fruit basket for our 50th Anniversary that was amazing! The store even made the number 50 out of pineapple! It included a large number of dipped fruit and fruit flowers, just a gorgeous bouquet of fruit! I recommend this store highly! read more

I am overseas so I ordered a gift for my lady a week out using this company, and it never made it to her. They said they delivered it but she never got it, because she left work. I told them it had to be before 5:30pm. They gave it to some random person, and now I am out the money plus I can't do anything due to me not being state side. I do not recommend this location at all. read more

It's unfortunate that I cannot zero star this establishment. My wife ordered an $80 arrangement for my daughter's birthday on 4/19. The order was placed on Friday April 17. They called my wife back stating they couldn't deliver on Saturday 4/18, but they could on Sunday. My wife said no problem, please deliver on 4/19. Sunday comes and my wife gets a delivery email confirmation at 1:10 pm. My daughter was out, but her roommate was in the apartment. My wife called the roommate, who said no one delivered anything. We tried calling EA that afternoon, but no one would answer the phone. On Monday 4/20, my wife calls EA and tells them that the delivery was obviously made to someone else in the complex, because my daughter did not receive it. The feedback from EA employee: Well, our delivery driver got a signature, so it was delivered (so essentially FU-too bad). My wife said this was not acceptable and was told that we would need to seek a refund from "corporate". My wife asked to speak with the manager/owner and was told he would call us back. We filed a complaint with EA corporate through their website and received a reply stating the owner would call in the next 48 hours. No reply, no contact, nothing... We ended up filing a credit card dispute to get our money back. This owner supposedly owns both the Vienna and Fairfax locations. By far the worst customer experience ever. Do not waste your money. Use the Arlington location - hopefully it's not the same owner. read more

I placed order for reston over a week ago for mothers day delivery..got a call Saturday saying reston was closed so it's coming from vienna.I was fine with that ..Then I get a call finally at 4 saying deliver guy on his way by now its 8pm still nothing no call or no basket. My girlfriend ordered a holiday one for Christmas to my family and the fruit was ok. The melons were hard and the pineapples were meh, but the grapes and strawberries were OK at best. If this review was just about the fruit, then it would be at most three stars. However, the reason for the one star rating is because of the customer service. When the delivery guy arrived, he/she parked in my neighbor's lawn and left two visible ditches. My dad took a picture of the delivery truck on the lawn for proof and the delivery guy had the audacity to lie and say that my dad allowed the person to park there. I don't think I'll ever do business with them or any other edible arrangement franchise if this is the standard. For those who are looking to give something special to their loved ones, please don't waste your money. I think you're better off sending flowers. read more

Dear friends sent us a large fruit basket that looked very festive. The fruit was under ripe cantaloup and green melon, pineapple (some half way covered in chocolate), grapes, strawberries some of them coated in sweet chocolate. The fruit did not feel like it was refrigerated in transit. Some strawberries were rotten, grapes some overly ripe. I ate some cantaloup, grapes, and a chocolate covered strawberry. I developed abdominal cramping and diarrhea within a couple of hours of eating!! This lasted for two days. Save your money, people, and send flowers, a good book or other. Pat W. read more

Beautiful basket arrived....fruit looked great...my wife and I both had about 8-10 strawberries, melon wedges, grapes, and a piece of chocolate covered pineapple....and then 3-4 hours later we ended up with intense intestinal discomfort, diarrhea....and it's been going on for 30 hours now. Was the only food we BOTH ate for prior 48 hours...so we know it was caused by this basket. Have thrown away the remainder -- 70% of the basket. Don't know how to tell the sender that they wasted their money. But just a waste of money, and more importantly, teaming with bacteria/food poisoning. What a delightful birthday present. read more

They were supposed to deliver some fruits a couple of hours ago. We went to the store, and the store was closed. Horrible experience

This was the worst experience. Today something was supposed to be delivered but since most people went back to work today due to coronavirus. I was trying to call to tell them to say i'd come to pick up the order, making their job easier. After calling them numerous times no one ever picked up. I ended up driving there and when i got there phone was ringing and a lady came out the back. She ignored the phone like they did to my calls all day and when I told her about my delivery she said that this store not doing deliveries today that the Manassas location would be taking care of it. So I started to call the Manassas location and they didn't pick up the phone either. When i went to go back into the Maple Ave location the lady locked the door, it was 3:02pm store doesn't close till 5. I still have not received what I ordered. read more

Definitely agree with everyones posting on the terrible customer service and fruit basket. I had a very similar experience that Anne posted in her review where a fruit basket was delivered and no knock at the door or phone call and I discovered the basket on my stoop late afternoon even though I was home. Ants were on it and everything was uneditable at that time and I even called the store and the manager and owner were so rude and said it wasn't their fault and they can't do a thing. I don't know how they stay in business. You are better off ordering from Harry and David where you know your fruit and goodies will arrive fresh and editable!! read more

I understand that it was Valentines day but how could you not have enough delivery drivers for that day? I arranged for an arrangement to be delivered to my wife at work and I was sorely disappointed. Here's what I found wrong with my experience: - They never delivered it! Good grief! - They never called me to tell me that they were having problems delivering it. - They refused to answer the phone. When I got to the store, the phone never stopped ringing. - It took me an hour to drive to that store (because they weren't picking up the phone) and there was a line of people who also didn't get their order. - The lady acknowledged the error was their fault, refunded me the delivery charge, and then said that she was going in the back to make me an order right away. She never came back. I stood there for an hour. No chairs. - A delivery driver returned to the store with armloads of manhandled arrangements that weren't fit to be eaten. Someone took the label off of one of those and put my note on the arrangement. - The size of the chocolate dipped strawberries was extremely disappointing. I should've just gone to the Godiva Store where the are more uniform and each about the size of a baby's fist. They ranged from 3/4 of an inch in diameter to about an inch. For $65! - For all my troubles, they tried to make it right with a measily balloon. What a load of crap. It took me another hour to drive home in rush hour traffic. While I sat there, angry customers streamed into the store with the same complaint: My order wasn't delivered. I'll never use this location again. They do not know how to run a business. They don't even know how to keep a clean storefront! There were nasty cheetos on the floor and empty boxes everywhere like it was a recycling center or something. I thought maybe they just opened up but it looks like they've been around for a while. I will never use them again. read more

We received one of the larger arrangements from a dear old friend in honor of the death of my mother. 1. POOR DELIVERY. It was left on the porch presumably in the late afternoon because it wasn't found until morning. Ants had started to arrive, fortunately we aren't too squeamish and washed them off. 2. NO CARD as to who it was from. I had to call to find out. 3. DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO CALL US. However, there was a note with our phone number on it and yet the delivery person didn't try. We have caller ID so I know they didn't. I can't imagine the person didn't have a cell phone. At the least they should have let the office know no one directly acknowledged receipt. 4. FRUIT QUALITY TERRIBLE. The cantaloupe and honeydew were either bland, not ripe, or mushy. The oranges were dry and clearly never had been juicy. At least half of the chocolate covered strawberries were almost rotten - I actually spit one out. The grapes were soft and discolored. The pineapple was the only satisfactory item - not great, but satisfactory. I feel terrible that our friend spent so much on this (and of course we didn't give them all these details, but maybe we should.) For the prices, the quality should be guaranteed, and given our global resources, it is doable, but Edible Arrangements sure isn't doing it. You can assure that these arrangements are made to order and not just sitting around for days. The Fruit pieces are skillfully cut and arranged to resemble flowers. I ordered chocolate covered strawberries to be delivered to my mother for an early Mothers Day gift. I placed the order around 9 a.m. the same day. I then called just to double check when they would be delivered to make sure I didn't need to change the delivery information (to her home instead of work). A very nice gentleman answered the phone quickly and gave me a quote of about 2 p.m. which was perfect. I got a text from my mother at 1:20 thanking me for the sweet strawberries. She loved them. A sweet friend wanted to help me recover from surgery in a healthful manner. I was out at a doctor's appointment when the delivery driver called and asked if I would be home in an hour for the delivery. I was at home within 30 minutes and proceeded to wait for the delivery driver. An hour went by, then two. I was very tired from my recovery and doctor's appointment but dare not go to sleep because the delivery driver would arrive any minute. As the minutes wore on into 3 hours, I called the delivery driver and he said "Oh, I'll be there in 2 minutes." About 15 minutes later he did arrive and deliver my box. I suspected the Vienna office would like to know that I was disappointed with the late delivery, so I called them. I explained what had happened and the gentleman on the phone stated "I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do about that". Really? Nothing you can do? You can't reprimand the delivery driver? You can't offer me a coupon to maybe soothe the hurt feelings of your customer? Nothing? Well there's something I can do. I will NEVER use Edible Arrangements.
