On time delivery but arrangement was not what I ordered. Tried contacting the shop once I saw a photo of what was delivered. I left a detailed voice message explaining disappointment & asked for a call back which I haven't received since. My order was for the Modern planter, which was a very cool looking white planter with mostly greens. I liked it so much I upgraded to a deluxe arrangement. I chose this to match my daughter and son-in-law's new home & modern white kitchen. Instead a floral wicker basket was delivered, the flower arrangement had added sunflowers which I requested but overall hugely disappointed. Be very careful ordering from this shop as you will select an arrangement stated to include a dozen roses and yet receive only 8. When you call, they will argue with you that the order came through FTD (when it was made through DoorDash), and speak to you condescendingly. Both the DoorDash description of the bouquet and the receipt that came with the delivery indicated a dozen roses, and that was the expectation. The flowers are pretty, but 2/3 of what was purchased. They also wilted rather quickly. When contacted and presented with clear evidence of their false advertising, they should have made it right. Pretty much a rip-off, and certainly not the service one would expect from a local shop. read more

We used J Morris for our wedding and had an amazing experience. I loved how my wedding package included the ability to get a complimentary sample bouquet and in-person meeting so that we could finalize all of the details and make any preferential changes. The entire team was so kind and responsive and they made sure that my vision would come out exactly as I had dreamed of. Despite having a late summer/early fall wedding, I really wanted peonies and bright colored florals. J Morris was the only vendor that said they would try to get me peonies (they were technically out of season) and they did -- and they were in immaculate condition. I have ordered a handful of times from J Morris, but this last time was extremely disappointing. I ordered an arrangement of tulips from their website for delivery and what the person received was a mixed arrangement with a rose or two. I emailed the store and they admitted a mix up happened with the delivery. They offered to deliver the purchased arrangement the next day and PICK UP the incorrect bouquet. I was a bit taken aback by the pickup but agreed to them swapping out the arrangements. However, they never showed. Didn't bother to call or email back. Now a disappointing experience has changed to a very frustrating one. I even emailed initially to say that I understand some flowers aren't always available, but would have appreciated a call or email if they didn't have the ability to create the arrangement I ordered from THEIR website. read more

They are not standard "traditional" arrangements you get, each one is clearly crafted with thoughtfulness and care. Three times now my husband has sent flowers from here and all three times the flowers have wilted and died within two days. Flowers should not give up the ghost so fast. These are overpriced and clearly not properly cared for that they would die so quickly upon delivery. I have no idea what is being done to them to make them stay perky on arrival but I get better flowers from the grocery store than this place! None of the online vendors had selections that I liked, so I decided to go local! J Morris had so many eye catching pieces that differed from those online! Ground breaking designs! I received flowers from J Morris. Some flowers were dying the next day. By the end of the second day, all of the roses were dying as well. I stopped by the florist the third day to explain the problem and was given a hard time by 3 employees. They finally gave me a few flowers to replace the dead ones. I asked for their email and sent 2 different emails asking the owner to contact me. No response. I finally called and the person assured me the owner would get the messages and contact me. A week and a half later and still waiting to hear back from them. They may write that they have a guarantee but they do not honor it. read more

The flowers I sent to my mom for Mother's Day were delivered to the wrong address, and while I understand mistakes happen, when they finally checked to confirm they delivered to the wrong person (my mom's neighbor) they then just dropped them on the correct doorstep, rang the doorbell and ran. I needed a "thinking of you" arrangement sent to someone in the town of Middleburg on relatively short notice. After finding J Morris Flowers on "The Knot" website and seeing photos of their work, I decided to give them a short. I'm VERY picky about floral arrangements and had a very specific flower in mind. The (very friendly) staff member that I dealt with explained to me that they didn't have that particular flower that day, but that they could get some by the next. Rather than waiting, we discussed our options. She asked me what I had in mind and due to the circumstances, I explained that I wanted something tasteful, soft and subduded. The receipient of the arrangement sent a photo later that evening, thanking me for the "gorgeous" arragement. It was, in fact, "gorgeous." Not only was it gorgeous, it was exactly what I'd put together in my mind. By Sunday morning, some flowers were completely wilted and shedding and the rest of the arrangement was a few hours away from being wilted and dead.
