We ended up going with Greenery Plus Florist because of how easy the website was to use and how beautiful the presentation of each flower bouquet and plants were on the website. We ordered a beautiful white orchid plant the day prior and it was delivered the next day. She loved it.

Her proposed solution was to "have someone pick up the arrangement for a full refund or pick up the arrangement and add more flowers to it" I said it would be embarrassing and awkward to retrieve flowers from someone who is in recovery... (from my aunt's perspective, her niece made a thoughtful gesture -- to have someone show up and take the flowers back or add some flowers only makes what was originally perceived as a nice gesture, awkward -- which an unnecessary thing to put my sick aunt through).
