The selection was limited because these dolls sell out as soon as they get them. I was really lucky that Checkmate was one of the three I was looking for. And, I didn't pay the crazy fees other stores are asking. Don't get me wrong, she wasn't cheap by any means. But, in comparison, it was much better. I would recommend them without hesitation. It not only has the charm and magicalness of walking into a witch's cottage or a fairy garden shop, but is also a time capsule where you can find calendars from 2007 with whimsical fairies that you can still buy today. In other places, I would absolutely be put off by the old merchandise, but in a place like Forget Me Not Factory, it absolutely fits the vibe of the establishment, and I actually really enjoyed finding old things for sale there. The only items that weren't were the individual Christmas cards. I arrived around 7:45 this morning and there was already a lot of patrons in the store and in line. I picked up a handful of items that I can gift next year. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The associate assisting me at checkout was very cheerful despite it being a hectic morning already. One of the other associates helped put fragile items into boxes for me. I spent $82 today, the most I have ever purchased in one transaction. I had to maximize on the savings. Lol. Love this location and the variety of merchandise they have. Highly recommend. Tip: Sign up for their Gold Rewards loyalty program to get coupons.

It's big and the walk down is easy. Savage Mill is a former mill that's been converted and has various small businesses, restaurants, hands on activities, offices, a large booth style antique store, and various other options. There's even a fencing club. The interior of Savage Mill is lovely with the shops portion being two floors and it has a modern wood grain look. As you get further into the mill buildings, they have more offices and it can get confusing due to the number of floors and hallways with nothing but doors. The booth style antique store named Antique Center at Historic Savage Mill was a pleasant surprise in the basement. It has a good mix of high- and low-end booths with things from comic books to vintage plates. Is Savage Mill with coming out of your way to visit? Absolutely. This was one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises during my visit to the area, and I'd recommend it to others. Just make sure to budget enough time for a visit.

The antique mall is the perfect all-day adventure. Coffee shops, sweet treats, dive bars, winery, fencing studios, outdoor adventure park, cosmetic enhancement suites, $5 thrift shops, salon suites, tattoo shops, a huge antique shop and more make this mall a delicacy. There's something for everyone and you can truly spend the entire day here. Some of my favorite shops include More Than Java, Skinsational Scents and Boyd Cru Wines. The mall hosts events often.
