Just came by today for my birthday while family was in town. We all loved the overall charm of the…read moregrounds (there's a garden, playground, greenhouse, cafe, and venue here too). There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. There are still a lot of dishes I'd like to try and since I loved the area, it would be worth coming back again.

I was incredibly excited to try this farm-to-table restaurant. It's close to home, and a coworker…read morehad raved about it, so our expectations were high. We joined the online waitlist at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. While we were seated fairly quickly, we still had to wait in a long line just to speak with the host to check in. The restaurant was completely packed well past 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we sat down. It took forever just to place our order. Our chowder arrived about 10 minutes later, but it tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the accompanying dinner roll was completely flavorless and factory-made. Since we were hungry, we ate it quickly anyway. It took 45 minutes for our entrees--a Country Fried Steak and a California Benedict--to arrive. By 3:00 PM, we were famished, which made it all the more disappointing to discover our food was cold, soggy, and hard. The cubed fries, scrambled eggs, and English muffin tasted like they had been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes before being brought to our table. For a restaurant advertising a "farm-to-table" concept, the eggs, salad, croutons, and muffin felt entirely mass-produced. The service was equally disappointing; our server never returned to refill our water. While the atmosphere is nice and the space is large enough to fit over 100 people, they seemed severely understaffed. The host stand was backed up, it took too long to order, and the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. For $23 a plate, I expect significantly better quality in both the food and the service.

Sumner, WA Candlewood Suites Sumner - Puyallup Area…read more First off I really liked this hotel. I'll tell you why. This hotel is a newer hotel so it's clean and in great condition. It's fairly quiet considering it shares a parking lot with a Holiday Inn Hotel, a Starbucks and a 7-11 Gas Station yet there was plenty of parking spaces available. That was never a problem. This hotel is a good extended stay option. There is no oven but there's a 2 burner stove, and a microwave and the washer and dryers are completely free for registered guests to use. You supply the laundry detergent. The shower had a soap dispenser that supplied shampoo, conditioner and body gel. The shower had good water pressure. My room did not have a tub just a standing shower but that's fine I do not require more then a hot shower. The heater/air conditioner unit wasn't loud and both work fine. The hotel is four floors with two elevators in the center of each floor. They have luggage carts, guests computers in the lobby and great customer service. Employees seemed pleasantly willing to help if I had a question. There's an adequate parking lot that's free and they give you a parking pass. They have a gym next to the guest laundry. There's a 4 cup coffee maker, a strainer and table settings to accommodate two guests. The rooms have a king bed or two queen beds. The mattress was comfortable to me. The room had a good amount of power outlets as well as usb outlets. Room doors had a dead lock and additional door latch for your safety/comfort. This hotel felt very safe. There's a couple grocery store options a 10 minute drive away and a couple pizza restaurants and a sub shop nearby. Trains do pass by the hotel occasionally and you will hear a train horn however it's honestly not as loud as you'd imagine it'd be. The latest I heard a train was about 10pm they passed quickly and that was not even every night. I was never woken up by a passing train. There might have been 2 trains a day that I heard. I would definitely stay here again.

I want to let everyone know that the customer service here at Candlewood suites is beyond amazing…read morethe manager Trevor has the best attitude towards his customers. We showed up to stay here while needing to attend a funeral. When we tried to check in we found that somehow our reservations weren't for two weeks later. With out even a hesitation Trevor started pushing buttons on his computer and looked me dead in the eye and said, don't worry we have a room for you and we will make it all work. Then we started making calls to the third party that we booked our room thur and Trevor talked me through all the steps and answers that were needed. He was amazing and has definitely earn our appreciation and respect. He has helped us to believe that customer service is still alive. THANK YOU TREVOR TNT
