I instantly sell em online for 110% spot on my ebay and mercari account, and a coinshop I found near my house for 98% of spot if I need cash now, they said come back anytime Avoid this place. Imagine how overpriced their jewelery is. If theyre trying to convince their OWN costumer that "no one buys 999 silver" Liars , and tried to steal 50% of my silver value with a smile on their face. Sad What they didn't know is. Im in the bullion business for almost 17 years. They were surprised I think when I mentioned certain terms and had a lot of knowledge in actual values, us silver coin content of silver, etc they didn't realize I was educated in the field. So much for honesty huh? Avoid this place. There jewelery is ugly too, I brought 28K to spend in cash, to get my fiance a new ring after she lost hers. They lost me as a customer, the bullion sale was a test of honesty. One jeweler said he doesn't buy 999 silver because no one buys it , and the guy on the right of the entrance tried pulling the 50% off "good deal" then when I said no, he pulled out a smelly old plastic bag with 90% silver junk worn cull half dollars to try to trick me into the idea that , hey look my silver isnt moving. The jewelry here is really cheaper than the retailers! The way it was explained is, you pay an additional price for jewelry so retail stores get their portion. We looked at a few rings and earrings that were beautiful. Our sales rep Ian helped us tremendously, and was very helpful and down to earth. We weren't satisfied with the product, and he was more than willing to assist with the exact pair we wanted. Ian ensure we were satisfied, he was a nice guy. As part of the Jewelry Exchange in Edgewater, when I arrived the gentleman directed me to VK who took care of me. He took me to the back to watch my ring get cleaned as well so I didn't have to worry at all about my ring/diamond! BEWARE!!! You might get ripped off! I stopped in a few months ago to purchase a replacement stud for these diamond earrings I have had for 8 years. Robil assisted me. He convinced me to change out the posts to screw posts as well. I left my earrings with him and picked them up a week later. I was cleaning them today a noticed my diamond had a black fleck no amount of cleaning could remove because the fleck was IN THE STONE. Like a said, I have had these earrings for 8 years and this imperfection was never there. Robil must have changed out my diamond with a low grade diamond while repairing. read more

Avoid this place at all costs! Let me tell you about the WORST service I have ever received from any business. My boyfriend proposed to me with a ring bought online from Kohls. It's a small diamond with two haloes of tiny diamonds surrounding it and some side diamonds on the band. It was too big so we stopped by The Jewelry Exchange to get it resized. I expressed my concern about the side diamonds coming loose and the jewelry repair guy who sits in the back assured me that he could do it, and that if any fell, he'd replace it. At this point, he began making fun of my engagement ring because the diamonds are "microscopic." My fiance was with me so the guy asks him where he bought it. When the guy heard his reply, he began to laugh at us and said we probably thought the diamonds were huge from the picture online and proceeded to lecture us about how buying jewelry online hurts local businesses and that people like us will force him to close shop. I understand sales pitches, but he crossed the line. I gently reminded him that he was making my fiance feel bad, to which he replied, "good, I want him to feel bad." After getting it down to my size, he lost a side diamond which he replaced. Then I asked him to tighten the prongs of my earrings that were also a gift, and he had the nerve to say our jewelry is from China and that it was worth $15. It was 2 karat blue topaz on gold-covered sterling silver, hardly the fashion jewelry they were selling for $80. When I got to my car, I could tell he did a terrible job with the ring resizing (a thin spot and dents) and I lost the diamond he replaced by the time I got home. Life is filled with surprises. When I moved to Bergen County over 15 years ago I went into Lydia's Jewelry for a simple replacement of a battery for my wristwatch. The owner, Jack (Lydia's father), kept looking at me as he found my face familiar. He apologized to me for doing so but within seconds we both laughed as it had turned out that I had purchased my first attaché from him back in the 70s when I was a grad student. I was impressed with him back then and in fact bought a number of leather bags from him after I completed grad school. At that time he was in Manhattan. Over 20s years had passed and now in 2001 I would move to New Jersey and meet up with Jack once again. What I want to say is that so rarely in life do we find a merchant who places the customer's needs above their own that the customer seeks out that merchant as the principal person to patronize for their shopping needs. Well I certainly did that with the purchase of all my leather bags, from attaches to handbags, and now I am proud to say I have done the same with the purchase of my jewelry! I have found the selection of their jewelry to be absolutely lovely but even more important is the personal attention given by Jack's lovely wife, Emily, and his daughter, Lydia, who has a real talent for curating the finest selection of jewelry. This is a place that will alter a necklace, a pair of earrings, a bracelet, and resize a ring so that it looks best on the customer, regardless of whether it is an expensive item or a very affordable piece of jewelry. They are genuine in their service of the customer and that kind of sincerity is indeed priceless.
