We were given a suite on the second floor. Wow! What space! The kitchenette was so cute and actually really functional. There was even a built in stove! We had two mini fridges that were actually cold enough inside to do their job. I still don't understand why most hotel fridges aren't cold. We had a little control over our room temperature, but it stayed a bit too warm through the night. Our bathroom was wonderful though! Full size toiletries and a large garden tub. Everything was really clean and approachable. The jets in the tub didn't work so that was a little disappointing. Our bed was soft, clean, and comfortable. Our dogs loved the long room and all the space they had to play. The hotel was super welcoming to having our pups. We were thankful to only be on the second floor since we were on the road, moving, and had a lot of our things pieced out. The card reader protected floors were a nice added level of security since their was the presence of the restaurant/bar. The only downside to the location of our room was the noise level coming up from the bar and restaurant. It made our dogs very uneasy and on edge through the night. Thankfully they finally settled down around 3a, but it definitely kept us all awake. Otherwise, the stay was great! Super convenient location and even walkable!

It's not located directly in the downtown area but I didn't want to be in downtown so that met my preference. The room was clean and small but the shower was hot, the TV worked and the room was quiet with those qualities this room met some basic desired standards. This hotel is not a fancy hotel but it is in comparison a more modern hotel then some of the other older hotels in downtown Whitehorse. There wasn't a bathtub, a view or a balcony in my room but I was only there one night I didn't need those things. There was plenty of free parking and a great diner next door called Airport Chalet that served a great breakfast. It's only about a five minute drive to downtown and its right across from the airport. The wifi worked fine for me but I was on the first floor of the hotel somewhat close to the front desk. The next time I'm in Whitehorse I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The front desk staff were professional and helpful, but not overly friendly. This hotel is also pet-friendly, which is a huge help. I travel with my dog, a medium-sized Border Collie. The attached restaurant is also good and reasonably priced. I am taking off two stars because, literally, walking to my room, I was accosted in the hallway by two men asking for money. It was very unnerving. They did leave me alone after asking and me telling them I didn't have any money, but it gave me a bad feeling. When I walked in to the hotel to check in, there was also a group of older teens and young adults just hanging out and smoking in front of the hotel. They did not appear to be guests. Again, not a great first impression. In short, I did have a good experience overall, but if the hotel could maybe patrol around the front and in their hallways to be sure there are not any people just hanging out or bothering paying guests, the overall atmosphere would be greatly improved.

There staff are lazy, it took the front desk guy 3 hours to get me a extra blankey and pillow. I went down stairs to ask what is the wait and he was just playing on his phone. He never asked to help carry to my room, just passed it over the counter and went back to hos phone. The Tv didnt work, microwave also didnt work. Five minutes later, I had to cancel due to some family issues. it has now been almost one and a half months and I still do not have a refund, though I received a confirmation for my cancellation within five minutes. The hotel says the problem lies with a third-party with whom they contract for bookings. The third-party says their computer has been down for weeks and they can't give me a refund for another month. I bet they're still getting their pay check and paying their utility bills, so I'm pretty upset that they can't refund me my $646.00 US. I hold this hotel responsible, since this is THEIR contracted third-party, not mine.

It's not an authentic experience in either the hotel or restaurant. It's run by some folks from India and the service and mood around this place is one of pinching pennies. It's ok. But If it's the only room left in town on my way in, I keep going. Plenty of country B&B's, cabins or the next town.
