If you happen to be passing through the Whitehorse, yukon, canada, this is a B&B you should check out! This place is in the middle of no where in the Yukon which is really cold and surrounded by mountains and tons of forest. I happen to be going to a wedding in whitehorse and was looking for a place to stay. Hidden Valley came up and it looked great. I had never stayed in a B&B before so I thought why not? So Hidden Valley is about 20 min outside of whitehorse so you should definitely rent a car on know someone who could take you there.
When I say this place is in the middle of no where it is in the middle of no where (Haha) but its surrounded by beautiful nature. What I liked about this place was that it felt very homey, comfortable and very rustic. The house is very well used and makes you feel at home and sometimes you want that while traveling. The grounds are amazing and very colorful. We went in september and it was cold in the 40sF which is considered warm to the locals (haha). What I loved is that they had dogs! and they were very friendly dogs and there's some hiking trails and if you want, you can have a doggie hiking buddy.
There's 4 rooms that each have their own bathroom. We stayed in the blue room which had 2 twin beds and the bathroom is right next door. The room was very comfy and very homey and we loved it. It was enough room for us but we did have smaller luggage so if you have bigger luggage it might be a tight fit. They have shampoo, conditioner and body wash and a ton of towels. They towels were a bit rough but it was okay. You can also do free laundry and access to a full kitchen.
My favorite part of the property is the front patio that has comfy chairs and a fireplace! It is perfect for the northern lights viewing. So what I found out is that most of the guests that came through were there for the northern lights. So whitehorse is one of the best places to view the northern lights in Canada and this makes hidden valley a very popular place because the northern lights are best viewed in pitch black darkness. It is worth it, I had the wonderful chance to see the northern lights and its an amazing sight to see. Seeing it in real life was just a sight to see and awe-inspiring. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm so happy to have crossed that off my bucket list
The hostess Joanne was wonderful, she was so helpful and so hard working. She is also a great person to talk to and she gives great tips. She really makes you feel very welcome and she's hilarious. She cooks the breakfast and it is delicious.
