She is very patient and has a cheerful personality which puts a BIG smile on my face during my visit :) I felt very at ease in her hands. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - overall, a very pleasant experience, thank you :) During the comprehensive eye examination, I got my pupils dilated. Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses with you if you're driving - you will be sensitive to lights! Or you can purchase a fashionable pair in their dispensary. The clinic carries a great selection of brand name eyewear and sunglasses! We also did something called Optomap wide-field retinal scan, which carefully and thoroughly checks the inside of the eye for any hidden eye diseases, monitors suspicious areas and changes from year to year, and confirms that everything is healthy! During the visit, I also learned that Dr. Tang specializes in contact lens wear, LASIK consultation, and Ortho-K (AOK) overnight corrective contact lens for myopia control in children. You can also make an appointment online anytime using their real-time schedule - very convenient and easy to use. I went to a trendy DT Toronto spot for my glasses and while the styles were great and the service was thorough, there was a disconnect with me having to go somewhere else to get my eyes tested before choosing my frames and lenses - a Wal-mart no less. I walked in and wanted to ask about the headaches I'd been having since getting my new glasses and Dr. Allyson took my glasses and ran them under a special machine to examine exactly what my prescription was and what they were comprised of. Thankfully everything checked out and Dr. A explained that because this was a slightly stronger prescription than I was used to that headaches were normal and to be expected. While I was happy with the individual service I received from both the Wal-mart optometrist and the store I purchased my glasses at, I think in future I would prefer to visit Dr. Allyson so I know that every part of my experience is in-house at one location. When I moved to Vaughan, I needed a new optometrist and found Dr Hirji to take a look at my eyes and find out how my glaucoma was progressing. I was hesitant to go to a new doctor, as the one I had I've been with so long, but I can't say enough about Dr Hirji. One of the first things he did was use this machine I've never had used on me before to determine the thickness of my corneas which showed that I naturally have thick corneas which would explain the high pressure levels in my eyes, and that I may not actually have glaucoma as bad as previously diagnosed. Because of this we are pursuing new options for medicating my eyes which is a huge relief for me as those 3 eye drops a day were really killing my eyes and made it hard to function at times. He is very thorough, very good at communicating what's going on, and very professional. So far I'm very happy with his service and happy to be a patient.

I'm sure they won't be ready. They kept telling me the original pair would be ready on a certain day and they weren't. They lie to you to appease you. They never return messages. I had to call so many times after leaving a message or being told someone would call me back. I regret ever having gone there.

Dr. Boikovitis was PHENOMENAL with her. It was the most detailed examination I have seen. He ran several eye tests and spoke to her and explained things in a way for her to understand instead of dismissing a "kid" and speaking only to the parent. We saw him again this year for a check up and again he was thorough and informative. The other employees there have been courteous and helpful in helping us select frames for her glasses. They have moved to a new location not far from the old one and it is a beautiful upgrade. Would definitely recommend this place and I will also be switching over to them for myself.

They have always been pricey, even with their sale prices, always trying to upsell you. My granddaughters designer glasses 1 year old designer glasses had problems with one of the hinges. She is a teenager. They were unable to fix this issue because we didn't purchase their warranty protection! My son in law fixed it. They didn't stand by what they sell. Having a nice looking store with unknowledgeable staff and poo customer service skills is not enough. Word of mouth spreads faster than any advertisement can! COSCO stands behind what they sell, we found Out. All members of our family have moved their business there. In 2023, LensCrafters lost a class action lawsuit in reference to their misleading practices about pricing. Why am I not surprised!

Yada, yada, I called around, got someone else to call even *further* (the most helpful staff I have ever encountered, as he went supremely above and beyond, at least 4 stars for that), only to have him tell me: Sorry, there is nowhere *in all of CANADA* where we can find them and send them to you. My question is: WHY would a company advertise- as the basis of their very current campaign!?- a pair of glasses that they cannot sell you???! It is with great pleasure that I write up about my experience…read more I went to see Dr. Lowy, after having gone too long without getting my eyes checked. I wear progressive lenses, and usually have 2 pairs - regular and tinted. After checking my eyes, and comparing the prescription to my existing lenses, she could not believe the change. As a result, she kept me in her office for over an hour to triple check them in order to ensure that there was consistency (which there was). The end result is that I am extremely pleased with both sets of glasses - truly the definition of "As good as it gets" (aka 5 stars!)

Then the "sales" lady tried to sell me on paying $8k and pulled up a calendar to lock me in to a date in the near future. Reading further, nearsighted individuals with thin cornea are not good candidates for RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange) as there is a significant chance the retina can detatch. I am 52 and this surgery for me would have potentially negatively changed my life forever. And I have kids!!! 60 is the age this should be done- not sooner. I did go to a competitior who said they would never perform this on me and to wait until at least 60. This is a practice that has been around for a long time and used to perform this surgery and realized years ago there is too much of a risk and stopped. Something I found strange is when I asked the final "sales" consultant at Lasik MD if she knew anything about her competitors, she said no!? And further tried to sell me on the idea I could nik my eye with a contact lens. I am here to help people to not undergo a procedure that may be detrimental to their lives.
