Shrimp and Tasso Shrimp

The food was delicious!!! Our server was so sweet. Not sure about the Bloody Mary. We sat on the patio and it was lovely!! Note: the owners were very rude to my friend. She did not like the Bloody Mary they served and she asked for a different drink. He took offense and charged her anyway. It was very upsetting. I'm changing my review to Match the unpleasant ending to a very tasty meal.

Mimosa flight!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying brunch for a 4th time at this establishment, and it exceeded all expectations as usual. From the moment we arrived, the owner greeted us warmly and made us feel truly welcome. His attentiveness continued throughout the meal, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. The service was impeccable--our waiter, Robert, was courteous, attentive, and ensured every detail was perfect. The culinary offerings were outstanding; each dish was prepared with care and presented beautifully. I had the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly. My husband had the shrimp and grits which he shared a few bites of and next time I will order that! It was amazing! A particular highlight was the mimosa flight, accompanied by a chilled bottle of champagne served in an elegant ice bucket, alongside fresh juices. This thoughtful touch elevated the entire experience. The ambience was equally impressive. The natural light streaming through the skylight created a warm and inviting atmosphere, complementing the tasteful décor and overall sense of refinement. This restaurant delivers an exceptional combination of quality cuisine, superior service, and a sophisticated setting. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I experienced: + Superb service from Robert. He was energetic, down to earth, extremely efficient with impeccable situational awareness. + Very comfortable atmosphere. + Quality of food was exceptional high with nothing but the finest of meats, seafood, starch, and vegetables. If you are in the area and don't take the time to dine here, you missed out on a fine experience.

Ahi tuna, tough and not very good.

Yikes. Maybe everyone was tired after St Patrick's day and/or there was not enough staff because this place, though very cute, was very underwhelming. The food was way too salty. One of my companions could not eat theirs and the other literally dipped their food in water to 'rinse' the salt off. My tuna was so tough it was hard to cut with a knife. The service was slow and they never brought us any rolls until after they served us dinner and we physically got up from our table to ask for them. I felt bad for bringing my guests here and having such a poor experience. I would not recommend going here if you are looking for a luxury dining experience because it was not that.

A Hidden Gem in Hot Springs! 5 star culinary experience! I am absolutely thrilled with my experience at the Hale Hotel! From the exquisite culinary offerings to the charming accommodations, every detail has been a delight. A huge thank you to Lindsey, the bartender, who mixes up the most fantastic drinks--each one is a flavorful masterpiece! This place has truly captured my heart, and I can't wait to come back for another unforgettable!

Fabulous small bar and dining room with dinner service. Bartender was awesome Lyndsey (sp)- she made great recommendations and great drinks. Filet was perfectly cooked and tender- Ahi was lightly seared and the peanut sauce was delicious. We will return

Cute little place for brunch. Omelette was good. We had the mimosa flight and I had the strawberry pineapple mimosa, all good. Pretty basic stuff, though.

Located inside an old bathhouse turned hotel, this quaint restaurant offered exactly what I wanted! Elevated casual dining experience. The ambience with the plant wall and glass ceiling allowed wonderful natural light to flow in. With chilled mineral water from the springs, bread service (delicious) with table set with room temperate butter and prompt service. I came just before dinner, a less time with only a few other guests coming and going as I dined. Nice to see some mocktails on the beverage menu, I enjoyed the mango mule and it was delicious! I got the vegan mushroom "wings" with the sauces on the side, the ranch tasted a bit to delicious to be vegan, they did say it was house made but I didn't ask about the ingredients. The mushrooms were deliciously crispy and flavorful. The strawberry salad perfect, champagne vinaigrette meshed perfectly with the flavors. I got the gooey butter cake togo and that was unfortunately way too sweet for me. A bite or 2 was all I could palatable enjoy, and it is a large dessert, menu says for 2 but I could easily see 4 people sharing this dessert with no complaints! Service was attentive but not hovering, very enjoyable experience, if I lived in the area I'd be back!

Fruit, medium over fried egg on Gyro inspired breakfast brunch! Great for a different flavored country breakfast.

Had a wonderful brunch 10/1/23 taking a spur of the moment decision while walking along bath house row in Hot Springs, AR! Saw the oldest bath house building which is now the boutique luxury hotel, "Hotel Hale" (1892) and saw they were serving brunch, but I had no reservations, nor was I currently using the hotel, but on a lark thought I would ask for a spot to have a meal! The maitre'd was so ever polite and informed me he would check to see. He returned and said yes a spot was available! I was brought to their cozy courtyard with a living wall and had full view of their dining area. People busy chatting away, enjoying their mimosas and the ambiance of the room. A water pitcher and drinking glass were immediately available and handy after walking along bath house row with temps in the high 80's! The waiter was good and assisted me with my meal selection - the special that they called a Greek-inspired breakfast for basically the same price of the other menu options was just what fit the bill after a long walk. The gyro meat and potatoes were excellent with the fried egg on top. Seasonings and all that you find in a gyro pita including feta cheese provided for a different but very tasty breakfast. The portion was huge and could easily be split 3 ways except for the egg. All in all I had a wonderful meal that satiated my hunger but also provided for 3 meals following. For ambiance 5 stars, for tasty food 5 stars and 4.9 for wait service as I had to ask for coffee to be refilled. All in all a great meal that is very generously portioned.

The menu lights up as you open it and everything on it sounded delicious. The servers, Peter and Emily, were so fun and helpful! They brought out these heavenly yeast rolls basted in truffle butter...what??? I got the market fish special which was grouper, and my husband got the grilled pork chop. Come with an empty stomach if you get the pork chop. It is a very generous portion and is delicious! The grouper was perfection...crispy on the outside, light and flakey inside, sitting atop beautiful spring vegetables and a lovely light beurre blanc sauce. It was topped with edible flowers and micro greens. I regret that I did not take a photo (we were so hungry), but it was just divine. The chef came over to ask what we thought and we told him everything was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely. We can't say enough good things. This is what a restaurant experience on vacation should be like. What a gem! Hopefully next time we visit we can try the dessert menu! We won't even get into how they make bread pudding out of those delicious rolls...

We happened to stumble upon this gem randomly during our trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas not expecting much but wow were we absolutely blown away. First, you walk into a dimly lit, intimate dining area and seated at a table with very comfy chairs and menus that light up for visibility. Next, your waiter is SO knowledgeable about every item on the menu. I had history lessons about the rice production in the area while learning about which dishes to choose. While waiting for your food, you are served an edgy orange-glazed dinner roll that is simultaneously intriguing and comfortingly familiar. A delicious twist on a classic. The head chef also came around serving an amuse-bouche of another experimental apple dish which was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Food comes- oh my goodness I cannot explain how amazing the Chislic beef tips were. Every component of this dish was just so thoughtfully crafted and well-blended. Each bite was bursting with flavor and energy. My partner also loved the potato soup. Our mains were equally impressive- my fennel rice in particular knocked my socks off. I have never tasted rice so decadent and aromatic in my life. The salmon was of course great but certainly not the star of the show. Finally, the bread pudding at the end was the cherry on top of the culinary bliss we had just experienced. I would drive 10 hours back to Hot Springs just for this restaurant. So sad it has to be so far. Do not miss your opportunity to come here if you happen to be in town!!

Cafe 1217 - A Fresh Break from the Road Trip Diet…read more What a relief to stumble into Cafe 1217 after days of heading southwest on a steady rotation of BBQ, grits, and beans. Delicious, yes... but the body eventually starts asking for a vegetable and a reset. The space itself matches that feeling. Simply decorated, with bright murals, clean lines, and a cheerful, easygoing vibe that feels light the moment you walk in. My husband gave me full ordering authority, which is always a bold move. I went straight into tapas mode because everything on the menu looked too good to choose just one. We ended up with a spread: chicken pot pie (which quickly abandoned any "small plate" intentions), field greens and baby spinach, a shrimp and crawfish cake, and one of each of Rosy's authentic hand-rolled tamales. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without that heavy, road-trip food fatigue. The mint lemonade was refreshing and delicious, a little on the sweet side, but it worked. Service, while perfectly fine, could benefit from a warmer welcome and a bit more guidance, especially for first-timers trying to navigate such an inviting menu. A little extra friendliness up front would go a long way here. Our only real regret? Not saving room for dessert. They looked very tempting, and we'll be thinking about that missed opportunity. If you're on the road and craving something lighter without sacrificing flavor, this spot is a welcome pause.

We had pizza on our minds but the restaurant we wanted to dine at had a 45 minute to 1 hour wait. We passed; our tummies didn't want to wait that long. We headed on down the street until we saw an interesting restaurant, steaks, yummy. We headed inside and were seated immediately. It was a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was approaching their closing time, but we had plenty of time to dine. After being seated at our table, Haley, our server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It was a bit warm, so iced tea was the beverage we requested. After looking over the menu for a bit, I decided on the 8-ounce hand cut sirloin, cooked rare, accompanied with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. My wife, who wasn't very hungry, ordered loaded baked potato soup. While waiting for our entree and soup we admired all the artwork on the walls. From what we could tell, all the pieces were painted by the same local artist. The artwork was focused on rock icons. Some of them were very interesting. In a flash, my side salad was brought to our table. I ordered it with Brick House Grill's House Dressing, cheese & wine. The salad was beautiful served cold and crisp with huge slices of cucumbers. The house dressing was incredible with a touch of sweetness. Yummy. Shortly, our entrees were delivered to our table by one of the kitchen's expeditors. I love my steaks cook rare, not medium rare, rare. So many restaurants' grill master's, when they have a rare steak ordered, have a tendency to cook more towards the medium rare side. My hand-cut 8-ounce sirloin was grilled to the perfect rare. The steak had a wonderful smokey flavor from being grilled. Haley, our server, checked in with us several times. She specifically asked if my steak was grilled to perfection. My wife said the loaded baked potato was wonderful, some of the best she's ever had. Haley was an awesome server, so attentive and pleasant. What an incredible meal and time we had! Next time we're in Hot Springs, we'll definitely stop in for dinner.
