After delivery (which was fast and easy with great delivery guys), I realized the twin box was too small for my antique bed. Not only was I able to return it with no hassle, but Vince went the extra mile and tried to source a shorter box that would fit my bed (without me asking), even going so far as to look into custom-made options. I would never have gotten that kind of experience at a chain store. Robin and Vince are wonderful.

Both of those companies failed us horribly so I turned to Sleep Pittsburgh after seeing a commercial on tv while I watched the news. While they didn't have the exact bed my daughter wanted, they had a few good options. Shopping was quick, easy, and productive!! My daughter received her new bed in less than a week and it was assembled professionally the first time. She was so happy and we were both so relieved. They truly saved the day! I would happily recommend them to anyone needing different types of furniture in a short amount of time. Their options seems sturdy, well made, and available right away. Well done.

The law tag was ripped off of the mattress so I was no longer eligible for a warranty even though pictures clearly show how messed up this bed is. I fought with customer service and they only wanted to offer 30% coupon off a new bed, (that's nothing) so I tried again and the said 40% is all they can do. Our king size bed is not even a year old and there's a giant mound clearly shown in pictures and because of the law tag not provided that's all they can do. Very frustrating had I known that law tag must be on at all times, the entire price of the bed would be covered. It's not like we wouldn't be spending more money upgrading to better bed so I'm not understanding why they could not have helped more.

A week before our arrival, we received a call that a pillow did not make it in the order, however that she would order one so that when we arrive everything will be ready. We finally arrive, excited and ready to get our daughter settled in. We go to Mattress Firm and when we state that we are here to pick up our order, Mindy rashly states that the other salesperson in San Francisco messed up our order. I don't recall her exact words but were something like, "I don't know what he was doing, but he messed up. You can go and pick up the pillow at the warehouse." This take it or leave it attitude totally caught me off guard. Even the look on her face didn't show any remorse. We got a call a week prior, so if it is so easy to pick up the pillow at the warehouse, why couldn't they just have one shipped to the Shadyside location? Or give us a call and redirect us to pick up at the warehouse instead of going the Shadyside location? We suspect that since Mindy didn't take the original order that maybe she wouldn't get any credit/commission so why give any additional effort on her end. Thank you Mindy for getting our daughter's college education such a sour start. We will always remember this!

Still no mattress. They call about another delay and offer $50 off the price to apologize for the inconvenience. We yell at them and the discount goes up to $500 and they offer to send a temporary loaner mattress until the one we ordered can arrive. We reluctantly agree, and they send it to the wrong address! We are still scheduled to receive our original mattress at some point, but nothing should be this hard when you pay over $2500. If you shop here, be sure to grill the sales people about what is and is not in stock. They obviously don't have a clue.

After a good try, we just didn't like it - I felt stuck in it if I tried to change position and a bit hot. I called to ask about how to go about exchanging and the person on the phone was a little rude. If you have an exchange option, please don't be rude when it's requested. We went in to choose a new one and luckily Ray helped us out. He was so kind about the exchange, so patient as we tried other options, and so helpful with our questions. We ordered a more traditional Stearns & foster with super duper springs and had our first sleep on it last night. It was so much better, we're so happy we went through the process of the exchange, and so glad we got to deal with Ray.

It was returned to the factory and I waited for contact from someone about the next step. I finally called and was told that someone would come out and measure the frame. That happened almost 2 weeks later. I just received the mattress and box springs set today - 2 months after the original delivery date. The delivery guys were wonderful. I wasn't their fault for the delays. My advice is to be very specific out front about what you are ordering, especially if there is anything special that needs to be done.
