I've been bringing my wife's Hondas--previously, her Accord and then, her CR-V--to Eddie's for the past few years when service/repairs are needed that I am unable or unwilling to do. I've had no issues and the service provided has been very good. Apart from my wife's cars, I've also taken my Mazda Miata to them for custom alignment work a couple of times and they've done a great job; they were able to set specific alignment specs I requested after I installed new suspension components in preparation for HPDE events at Buttonwillow Raceway. Based on my experiences, I highly recommend Eddie's to those with Japanese cars. I can't speak to their knowledge or service on American or European brands, however. Eddie is a trustworthy guy and I will gladly continue doing business with him. read more

The most honest car repair place I've ever been to. I brought my car to a specialist in Italian vehicles, as there is no place in town that works on Maseratis. The place in Pasadena told me I needed new brakes and it would be very costly. Eddie checked out the car thoroughly and said I wouldn't need any for another 5-10,000 miles . He saved me so much $$ and unnecessary maintenance. Eddie is a professional mechanic and race car driver who knows cars better than anyone! The most honest mechanic I have ever had an experience with. I found Eddie on yelp and all of the reviews are correct. He is outstanding! I took my car to Honda and they quoted me $800, so I took my car to Eddie's because they quoted me a price much better than Barber Honda. Turns out, I didn't even need the part replaced! Eddie gave me all of the details explaining what was really wrong. He was clear and precise in his diagnosis. Barber Honda can kick bricks. This shop has no being at all. It has nothing shiny. There is no TV's in the lobby. That's a good thing. Eddie's does auto repair. They are a car shop. There are gearheads hank Kim up front and they work on cars. Not only that, they do great work. So I can live without the being. In addition,Eddie charged me $500.00 to R&R a valve cover casket (oil leak). Brought the car home that night and oil leak still there; same size, same spot. Eddie's comment....."keep your eye on it". Eddie and his team are always able to correctly diagnose what is wrong with my vehicle, fix it appropriately the first time, and do so for a fair price. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the shop is not consistently about contacting me when my vehicle is done even when they say they will do so. I would not recommend Eddies Automotive, we were charged $400 for repairs that were under warranty. We notified them about the charge and they refuse to refund us the $ 400 refund we were entitled to. We called them several times, they hung up on us and gave us the run around regarding a refund. We finally gave up on receiving a refund. I believe they are not the original owners so not all reviews are indicative of current ownership honesty and practices.
