Eddie's signboard (looking east)

Sometimes, the stars line up just right and everything works out for the best. That's what happened to me as I returned from BWI Airport one dreary day. I had gone to the airport to pick up a friend who had come back from a weekend trip; and, on our way to his house, I was getting hungry because I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch. I glanced at my dashboard clock and saw that it was nearing 3:00 p.m. It was at that moment that I pulled off the Beltway to look for food and spotted Eddie's out of the corner of my eye along Marlboro PIke. While the prospect of eating Chinese take-out didn't exactly thrill me, it seemed like a more than acceptable option given the time and place. However, once I pointed to the storefront and prepared to steer the car toward it, my friend loudly exclaimed, "Yes, yes!" To me, the reaction was totally out of proportion to the circumstance. I mean, his enthusiasm resembled my outburst when I received a new set of Correlle glass storage bowls for my birthday. Wow...what a day that was! But, a lousy Chinese carryout? "Look, look," he continued excitedly. "It's a Chinese carryout AND a laundromat!" I nodded incredulously to acknowledge the fact (just as I peered up simultaneously at the storefront and turned the car into Eddie's lot). "Yeah, it really is." My friend explained that he had a suitcase full of dirty laundry that urgently needed to be washed and that the washing machine at his house had been broken for weeks. Apparently, he really needed to wear one uniform most specifically for work the next day. So, as I ventured inside to one side of the store to order some food and tried my best to navigate the landmines of cloyingly sweet sauces and fried mystery meats (and any dish with broccoli or an accompanying "brown sauce"), my friend ventured into the other half of the store to wash a load of clothes. In the end, it seemed fitting that a Chinese carryout shop would also branch out and offer laundry service as well. Chinese laundries were a staple business for immigrant Chinese for a long, long time (well before restaurants and carryout shops became the norm after washing machines and dryers had become fixtures in most American households). So, what we stumbled upon was so ironic, really. It was like a mother and child reunion of sorts. Anyway, I ordered my food, took it through the hole in the plexiglass partition after a brief wait, and went outside to chow down in the car. Somehow, as I ate the mostly nondescript food and as the radio stations played unexceptional offerings (Willie Nelson anyone?), an involuntary entrepreneurial feeling (kind of like a half drowsy feeling of arousal) tickled my spine. Strangely, dollar signs began dancing in my eyes, and I began to entertain all sorts of possibilities... Corbo's Carry Out & Auto Supplies; Corbo's Carry Out & Hallmark Store; Corbo's Carry Out & Gourmet Croissants; Corbo's Carry Out & Ice Skating Rink. Then, it hit me. Corbo's Carry Out & Locksmith Services. Yeh! Anybody know where I can get a small business loan?

I wish there was a way to adjust what time I was planning to pick up, besides the only option of ASAP. When I arrived it was a bit busy. I didn't notice anywhere inside to sit down and eat. There's parking available in front of the restaurant. I got a small and large Shrimp Cheesesteak and an order of the Mozzarella Half Moons. The bread was soft and tasted great. The shrimp and meat was seasoned well on the small Cheesesteak. I did find 2 hairs that weren't my texture in the small Cheesesteak. The large Cheesesteak seemed to taste a bit salty. Not sure if this was from the fried onions or something else on it, that the small didn't have. The Mozzarella Half Moons were good, however weren't as gooey as expected since they were cooled down by the time I was able to eat them. I wish there was a comments box to add specific notes. I wanted to try the Cheesesteak Eggroll, however I wanted to ask them to not put any onion in it. I decided to not get them this time since I couldn't communicate this.

The young lady who helped us was cheerful, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. I apologize that I forgot her name, but she definitely deserves recognition. The food was your typical quick burger-and-fries meal, but everything was hot and fresh. The restaurant was also clean, and the prices were noticeably lower than most places these days. My only suggestion would be to keep paper towels stocked in the restroom. Overall, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. I didn't take pictures we were starving!

I have so many places to review so I'm trying to catch up! I came here in August 2026 which I've…read morebeen wanting to stop by forever since I seem to be in the area all the time. So after leaving The ups store next door I decided to stop in. I walked in was greeted and it's a pretty decent size restaurant. I do like that on the outside they can open up the bar and you can sit. But I opted for sitting inside. The menu has quick a few options and I was there during happy hour which turned out to be good pricing. I was being a big back and ordered the charbroiled oysters that were on the happy hour menu and a nice size ribeye steak, broccolini, and Mac and cheese. And when I tell you everything was cooked to perfection it was so good! As the pictures show it was a large portion and I had a lot of leftovers for my lunch door work and then some. I will definitely come back and sit outside on their deck or bar area as the weather is getting nice.

Aside from spending quality time with family, it was a disappointing dining experience. Maybe an…read moreoff night for the crew? It is a small venue that can host one large party one at a time. I thought folks sitting at the bar had a chill vibe, with the open, outdoor view. All the music played was slow tempo rnb hits - I wish they would have switched it up a little. Maybe some psychedelic soul... I haven't been this disappointed in a dining experience in a long time. My entree order was never entered, leaving me sitting at the table for 40 minutes watching everyone else eat before my food arrived. That is a significant lapse in service coordination, especially for a restaurant where the prices suggest a much higher standard of execution. As for the food, the overall seasoning and flavor balance were inconsistent, with several dishes falling well below expectations. Shrimp Po' Boy: Nice, plump shrimp, nicely fried, but nothing particularly memorable and sauce was ok. Charbroiled Oysters: If you ever been to Acme in New Orleans...you would not. Please watch the small grits of oyster shell! I never had oysters with bits of the shell on top. The oysters were small, and the cheese and toppings completely overpowered them. I wanted to taste the oysters, not have them buried beneath everything piled on top. "Gumbos?": The flavor profile reminded me of a spicy, vegetable-heavy homemade soup base, with little of the depth and richness I would expect from a properly developed roux. It lacked the traditional character and complexity I was looking for. Crab Bisque: One of the better dishes of the evening. It was more enjoyable than several of the other items we tried. Brussels Sprouts: No, skip these! They were absolutely BURNT! The preparation was simply unacceptable. It was returned for fried rice - No....it totally missed the mark on seasoning. Crab Cake: Swimming in butter/oil, which did not compliment. There was a few pieces of lump crab if you were wondering. Calamari: Portion again - too small, fried a bit too crunchy with peculiar burnt fried onion? Another dish that failed to leave a positive impression. The recurring issue was the lack of balance. Across the dishes I sampled, the seasoning was either too heavy or insufficient, and the spice profiles often felt poorly calibrated. Instead of allowing the ingredients to shine, the preparation frequently worked against them. The portion sizes were another major concern. Appetizers especially, felt far too small for their prices, and the overall quality and quantity did not justify the cost of the meal. Honestly, the kitchen needs a serious reassessment of its execution, seasoning, and quality control. Based on what we were served, it was difficult to believe these dishes reflected the intended culinary vision. Table clearing wasn't well executed. After appetizers were cleared, that was it and nothing was cleared while we had dessert. One water carafe for my folks at the end of the table who ordered water and they were the only ones that had glasses for it. Water for the table is a standard courtesy. Unfortunately, this one was memorable for all the wrong ones, with exception to much needed family time.

We've only eaten at Canes in Nashville but weren't overly pleased that time! This time wasn't much better. Our meals were definitely prepared quickly for as busy as the location appeared to be. We both ordered a 3-finger combo with fries and a large drink. The meals were NO WHERE close to resembling the meals in the picture menu featured in the order kiosk. The chicken fingers were barely the size of sardines and the fries barely matched the size of a kids McDonald's happy meal French fry (approximately 15 non-crinkle cut fries.) The drinks delivered were normal medium size drinks at any other chain... passed off as large drinks. The Cane's sauce tasted very diluted or watered-down. This was NOT a visit that would make us want to return to this location nor to the chain in another location. Absolutely NOT a $27 meal but most definitely an unexceptional experience.

Typical for a place like this it is loud, packed, and overwhelming. There are kiosks to order if you prefer not to talk to a person and the traditional registers where you have to talk to a person. It's nearly quick I should say, all dependent on the amount of people standing around in here.
