Herr we go again this time I took pictures, on 12/31/25 all our trash was p.u. in lemon Grove except our recycling. I had to ask my neighbors if I can dump my recycling in there cans how embarrassing was that? The whole street on Dupont was not done until today 1/2/26. I have not missed a payment so I except all my trash to be empty. I Filed a complaint with lemon Grove. It's not the first time they didn't pickup or can. Pick up is every Wednesday. Have been customer for 20 years, never any issues with pickups or customer service. Follow the rules and you'll have no problems. If you don't know which bin you should be putting yard waste, trash, recyclables, ask Edco or one of your neighbors. The only 2 issues I would ask Customer Service to remedy would be; 1) If the drivers pick up bins with the claw, dump it, then put bin down; try to not have the bin fall into plants or the street. 2) When the Bin is picked up and being dumped, if trash falls out into the street, the driver should be responsible to quickly sweep up. The Homeowners put trash INSIDE the Bins. No trash should be left on the ground after pick up. read more

Both are way smaller than a fridge. Refused to pick up. On the website it states "BULKY ITEMS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Furniture Carpet Refrigerators Freezers Ranges Microwaves Water Heater Rugs Book Shelves Washers & Dryers" Be aware that if you have anything else that is not on that list they will say it is not a household item. Ha the poorest commutations with its customers. we had a scheduled pickup for a bathtub and recliner loveseat. The person who took my call said that they could only take the bathtub if it was cut in half which I had my plumber do for me. Well anyway the guy comes to pickup the items he parks across the street and after a bit comes over and grabs 1/2 of the tub goes across the street then comes back to get the other half of the tub puts his hand on the back of the loveseat and leaves without taking it.He said it was to heavy but yet he only touched it on top. I have the video of it all he is a very lazy man. read more

Worst customer service there is. After renting a dumpster for construction on my house I was told they would not pick it up because it had pressure treated wood in it. My bad for not knowing pressure treated wood is considered hazardous waste in California. I got help moving two tons of material out and back into the dumpster to rectify the mistake. Though I fixed the mistake before the day was through and 3 days before my rental agreement was up, they refused to pick it up and charged me a $115 "dry run fee". On the day we rescheduled the pick up, while I'm at work, the driver verbally harassed my wife for HOW the dumpster was packed, and "warned" her that the two tons of material was actually closer to 10 TONS (20,000 lbs). Embarrassing, unprofessional, and inexcusable. read more

It's bad enough that Edco's Lemon Grove location is an unsightly eye sore. It's located directly across the street from residential housing on the hillside above Federal Blvd. The smell from the trash often travels through to our house forcing us to close the windows. The trash residue from the trash trucks covers the street and makes our cars dusty. I've driven past their processing building where they have trash on a conveyor belt. You can literally see clouds of trash dust coming from the building. Furthermore, I believe Edco's location is a health hazard due to what's in the air. They seriously need to relocate! It's time to get the Lemon Grove city council involved. This location was also the main recycling location. They have suddenly stopped all recycling on weekdays. No notice was given in the mail or email. read more

Edco gives you the option to use a sign on your cans to enable you to use a green can for trash or Grey can for green yard waste. The signs are called "swing carts". I started having issues with the driver not dumping the cans that had the sign on them. Customer service for Edco is horrible . It can take a few days for them to respond. They often don't respond at all. I called them , was put on hold for 7 minutes, then the line disconnected. When they finally responded, they had no explanation and no apology. Edco is supposed to be a family-run disposal business. Well clearly they need outside help. If there was an option to choose a different trash company, I would. Unfortunately trash companies are like cable companies. You are stuck with no other choices and they know it. No competition means no reason to be a better company. read more

Five stars for the drivers and workers for the very fact they pick up our trash and haul it away, consistently and professionally. One star for the way the business is run by the administration. Last minute switch of the pickup day on December 26, not good. The doubling of my bill without warning when someone decided my home was a duplex and should be charged twice. When I called, all I got was the preplanned canned response of "Don't worry, we won't back-charge you for the years we didn't charge you." I think that's devised as a way to disarm any complaints, but it only makes customer service worse since I don't believe that would even be LEGAL to back-charge a customer for what would be an oversight on the company's part? not only do they refuse to take anything not listed in the "acceptable items" list, they don't even take things that are clearly listed! i was staring at their webpage when i requested them to pick up some scrap metal. without asking about size, they said my items are too big to pick up. when i pressed them on size limits, they changed their tune and said they won't be able to pick up the type of items i have and that bulky item is for household items only. when i told them to look at their own list clearly saying SCRAP METAL, they said "no can't do". why even bother with offering the bulky item service if you're not actually going to do it? read more

I was going to write a review but when I accessed Edco page and saw a 3 1/2 star rating NEED I SAY ANY MORE! They could have a five star becasue they service my businesss and are great. The problem is our neighbor trash who casued problems to us (infestation) and in order to fix the rat problem I agreed to have it removed and paid for it. Disgustingly rude office! Mark Billings, Cindy Horn, and Emily have obvious personal problems. For over 4 months I've been trying to communicate and talk to someone about my account and it was mission impossible. Mark never returned our phone calls or replied back to our emails. Emily never spoke to us. Never once where we able to talk to her as she is in charge of our specific account, so we were told. The absolute worst was Cindy Horn, manager of customers accounts who refused to even to talk to me about my own account!? What was her problem? She straight up said "I'm not going to talk to you" and hung up on me. Not even 1 minute into the phone call. Seriously, who will help the account holders in Edco if these rude horrible edco managers/supervisors won't even talk to the customers. I'm still waiting for someone to help me with this matter I really hope something gets done about this. Also, they took our trash bin and they claim it's still here. No it is not. Our driver is beyond lazy. It's been four weeks since he picked up our trash and I'm sure this coming week will be the fifth week the he doesn't do his job. The only employee more useless than our driver is his supervisor who's apparent duties involve making excuses and blaming the customer for his driver's ineptitude. Tom Brady wishes he could pass a football as good as this waste of a supervisor passes the blame. I'm sure if the bill wasn't paid for one month, they'd have lots to say about that. It would seem the only thing this company is good at is stealing from their customers. If you have the option, I recommend any other disposal company besides EDCO, regardless of price. The trash bins were inches from the street and they said it was to far away the only way to get them closer is putting them fully in the street rather then on the curb Even though the rest of the neighbors have them in the same location that they are telling us is not okay and they pick up all of there trash. read more

As a customer of EDCO Waste Disposal, I was recently offered to "Go paperless" for paying my bi-monthy residential waste removal bill. So I decided to try this to save writing a check every two months. What a joke! I received my next bill after I had signed up and lo and behold the bill said to pay by check. I then went to the EDCO website and tried to sign in to determine why my bill was not Auto Pay after I had signed up and given my credit card to be billed. I was denied entry to log-on and locked out. What? I then called the customer service number on the bill and after waiting for 10 minutes I was told that EDCO would cancel Auto Pay and I should send the check by mail for payment. I was not given any reason or apology for being locked out of my account on my very first try. The Customer Service Rep asked if there was "anything else" she could do for me. "An explanation and an apology would have be nice, but evidently EDCO doesn't do that," I replied. To other users of EDCO, protect your personal information and pay by check. Their Customer Service is poor. Keep EDCO away from your bank and in their lane to haul away the trash. It is about the only thing they can be trusted to do, barely. read more

I've been pretty happy with Edco over the years. Sometimes they put my trashcans back in a bad spot - and a couple times they've been a bit rough with my carts, but overall they've been good. We got a good deal to try another company so I wasn't looking forward to cancelling with Edco. I did it via their web site and got a quick & very polite reply from one of the customer service reps, whose name (Cindy Horne) I recognized from an interaction many years ago. Ms. Horne was super friendly and helpful and while she pointed out Edco's strong points (live person customer service & 3x yearly bulky item pickup) and encouraged me to stay, didn't try to make me feel bad for trying another company. I had some issues with my new company and may very well end up back with Edco again, because their customer service (talking to a person, and via email) is very good. read more

Second review. Had dumpster service in San Diego. Monthly 3 yard split container, trash and recycle. Initially charged $175 per month. Few times there was a pick up truck blocking the entrance to the alley. Trash didn't get picked up but still got charged. Edco said that I should have known about the truck and the missed pick up and they would have rescheduled. I don't live there. Happened a few times and I was charged even tho it wasn't dumped. New law with green cans for food/yard waste enacted in CA. Didn't get green can. Repeatedly asked about it and to not be charged $106 per month for no can, no service. Refused to pay. Told them to remove dumpster. Disputed charges and service. Wanted to see breakdown of final charges which included the green can that I never had. Trash collector admitted to never servicing or seeing a green can at my premises. The rep (Michael) never returned calls. Got sent to collection. read more
