Today I filed formal complaints with the Indiana State Attorney General-Consumer Protection Division & Secretary of State-Dealership Division alleging:
1. Failure to provide or transmit title in timely manner.
2. Obstruction of my ability to legally register the purchased vehicle.
3. Improper handling of license plates & failure to issue a temporary tag.
4. Failure to respond to reasonable and repeated attempts to resolve the matter.
My state and county of residency (Kentucky, Fayette) require possession of the actual vehicle title before they will issue a new owner's registration and complete their required VIN inspection. Despite numerous requests that they do so, the dealership has refused to comply with those requirements. I have provided the dealer with contact information for both the Fayette County Clerk's Office and the VIN Inspector.
This matter remains unresolved and I am left driving an unregistered 2022 Mazda with a license plate associated with the 2016 Toyota that I traded in, due to no fault of my own. read more
