Absolutely Great Service! I showed up and was met by both the owner (Paul) and the shop manager (Matt) to discuss the possibility of fixing and tuning my car after several other shops had failed. They were very upfront about the entire process and made sure that I understood possible outcomes and listened to all my input. I was told it would take 3 weeks to complete due to a very booked schedule but to my surprise they were able to finish in just about a week and ever better the car runs absolutely flawless! The day I was scheduled to tune I showed up early eager to watch it on the dyno, The waiting room was extremely comfortable and a very peaceful area for me to get some work done while I waited and when they were ready they came and got me so I could watch the car. Absolutely awesome experience! They explained very clearly about everything they were doing and that they had done and made the entire process very easy. I was in need of a knock sensor. When I had called the local auto parts store, the person I was speaking with had recommended me to call East Coast Swappers. He told me that they specialize in Subaru's. It was great to get a referral and I called ECS. They swap Subaru's and make them high performance racing vehicles. So, they had extra parts in their garage. He checked the other spare motors that they had and told me that they had one that I could buy. The price I paid was $44 cheaper than buying it brand new. When I brought it home and tried to install it, it required a torque wrench...which we did not have. So, I called them back and they told me to come back later and they would put it in for $20, which still saved me $24. Now, I have enough money still to get my inspection sticker!! It didn't look easy, either, but it was good to know that someone actually knew how to work on a Subaru and it was worth the money. I definately recommend East Coast Swappers to any Subaru owner! This was my first experience getting my car tuned. I have a '14 V6 Accord with some intake/exhaust and light suspension mods. I chose the Ktuner 1.2 to perform the tune on the dyno, which they can provide. Paul, the head mechanic, is a very intelligent and helpful person and worked his a$$ off in 90° weather all day and he did an absolutely phenomenal job on my car. Paul got me the best possible results out of this tune and I love the new drive. The staff at ECS is very straight forward and the shop is extremely clean. Paul explained to me what exactly he did and how it works and effects the car, I learned a lot from him. I would 100% reccomend this shop to anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle. Whether it is my 2015 wrx, 2007 Legacy gt spec b, or my wife's 2015 legacy, ECS performance has delivered on all platforms. I got my 2015 wrx in fall of 2014; right off the boat and they had already done R and D on the platform and were ready for my requests to work on improving the performance of my car. I brought in my 2010 370z Nismo with a pre installed Stillen supercharger. I had a tune from another company, but never felt the car was where it should be, and noticed my wideband was always way too rich. Searched google for Uprev tuners in ct, and found ECS performance. Liked what I saw from their website, and decided to give them a shot at making my Z perform the way I thought it should. Of course any kind of high end tuning costs a few bucks, but I really liked that they test your engine to make sure it can handle the 'abuse' it is about to get from the tuning process. Anyway, they had it for about 2 days, and returned it. Had a few small issues with the first tune, (no ones fault, ended up being a bad Mass airflow sensor), and had to bring back for another checkup. At no cost to me (as you would hope, but you never know), Paul began from scratch after replacing the MAS, dyno tuning and all, and gave me back the car I had always hoped it would be from the start after having the supercharger installed. Could not be happier with the customer service. He took me in the back and explained everything he did, and even had me drive the car with him in it to make sure I was pleased. Can not say enough about my brief experience with the ECS guys, and will be doing all my future upgrades with them. Thanks again to Paul, Matt, and the rest of the guys. read more

The worst place I have ever been to. Paul the owner is such a BS artist. I brought out 2 Subaru's. A year and 1/2 later I got one back. The other is still there. The owner, Paul cannot handle any comment you might make unless it is ultra positive. When I finally got my RS back he took me for a ride and hit 145 mph with it. However when I got home I found out it only had 3 qts of oil in it instead of 4.85. I cannot prove it but it seemed like he was trying to hurt the car so that later I would have problems with it. ECS is another one of those places where if the job is simple they are oK. Anything beyond that, well the owner can show you his fangs. Stay Away from this place. read more

If you want to get ripped off this is the place to go. No attention to details. They tell the customer that certain repairs are made figuring you'll never know, but they don't do them and eagerly take your money. If they have time they will swap out new parts from your car and replace them with old parts figuring you'll never know. read more
