I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! You will be glad you did.

They were reliable, open and honest about the entire process even when the items on the blueprint didn't match the actual equipment that had been installed 20 years prior, along with outdated instalment features. They had to find a different pump, and electrical replacement solutions. They were great and did it with positive attitudes and friendly hardworking ethics. We enjoyed getting to know them and were very impressed with how much they care. They made the job change work with the price they had quoted us as well, which was very reasonable. I reached out by mail giving them the opportunity to make this right but they chose to ignore that as well. Beware of this company, they take your money for work they don't do and they don't respond when you have an issue.

Ryno had a tight schedule that day, but he understood the trouble we were in - no heat or hot water in October - and made time for us. Our boiler is 15 years old, and the gas company tech recommended that we replace it- a process that would cost $9000 and take over a month to get the new boiler and install it. Ryno came over and thought he could fix it for much less than that. It took some work, but he eventually tracked the problem to a bad gas valve, replaced the part and got us back up and running. Through it all he was kind, helpful and communicative. I can't recommend him enough.

I paid him all but $150.00 and told him that would be the incentive to install the new parts. The brand new $8600.00 boiler has a leak so I called him for a repair. He then indicated I owed him $500.00 but he didn't make an issue. It's been over 3 years and all he had to do was install the parts that was he was contracted to do. Have called 3 times and not getting any return calls. Do not deal with this person. You get a tail light warranty(once you see the tail lights the warranty is over) and the job was not completed. So now I have to go to small claims court to get it taken care of.

Nathalie called that afternoon to say Erik would be right over, and he was! He explained what was needed and gave me a quote. And he came back early the next day, telling me I had to have heat ad hot water. They did the work thoroughly and efficiently and were a pleasure to deal with. And when my AC quit, again, Erik was there the same day. He showed me the material commonly used, which has major issues. He made a temporary fix, as the next day was to be hot, then came back to make a permanent repair. Nathalie runs the office and works with Erik when a job needs two people. They're smart and professional but also the kind of people you'd like to hang out with. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone. P.S. I'm in St. Albans VT, not San Fran!

Update: Current Electric came back out and installed proper equipment. I wish they had pulled…read morepermits and did the work correctly the first time. Current was recommended to us from a reliable and trusted source. We hired them to upgrade 2 properties to meet code, (install 6 new smoke / CO sensors and some GFI work.) The electrician arrived and said we had purchased the wrong sensors so he installed sensors from their warehouse. The city inspector has now failed us due to the detectors not being in compliance with the city ordinance. We have called Current 3+ times leaving non-confrontational voicemails. The city inspector has also attempted to reach them. It appears we are all being ghosted. All we want is for Current to make this situation right. We paid the invoice promptly upon receipt. If this review does not stimulate corrective action we will be forced to file complaints with the BBB and the state.
