The work done was extremely thorough. We had a serious spider problem in our yard this year, with webs everywhere and dangerous spiders found throughout our yard. Jacob cleaned up the webs and exterminated the spiders, as well as dealing with some wasp nests we hadn't known about. I'm reassured now that my kids won't be getting spider bites. read more

An EcoShield employee came to my door, knocked loudly, and rang the bell twice despite clearly posted "No Soliciting" and "Do Not Ring Doorbell" signs. Disrespecting homeowners' boundaries and ignoring posted signs is unprofessional and leaves a terrible impression of your company. Door-to-door solicitation like this is not effective marketing, it's just intrusive. read more

Zero stars. On February 2nd, EcoShield installed a new seal on the bottom of our garage door. During the install, the technician adjusted the door so it would "seal as tightly as possible." That adjustment caused one of the rollers to scrape against the track, and the garage door now does not open or close properly. The problem was created by EcoShield's technician. Since that date, we have called every single day attempting to get this corrected. Every time we contact the call center, we are told to "keep our phone line open" and that someone will call us back. No one ever does. On February 20th, after escalating our frustration, we were explicitly told that a technician would be coming out that day. No one showed up. No phone call. No explanation. Nothing. We have been loyal customers for over four years. This is how long-term customers are treated when something goes wrong. Our sales representative, Josh Hall, does not respond to texts or phone calls. The main office does not respond. The call center continues to make promises that are never fulfilled. At this point, this is not miscommunication -- it is a complete failure of accountability and customer service. A functioning garage door was damaged during their service. The repair is straightforward. The refusal to respond is not. We will be canceling all services immediately and disputing any future charges if necessary. I strongly advise anyone considering EcoShield to think carefully about what will happen if you need follow-up service -- because based on our experience, once they have your money, responsiveness disappears. This has been one of the most disappointing customer service experiences we have ever had. read more

a young man showed up on at my front door. I gave him respect for about 5 or minutes. After telling him I wasn't interested, he kept going. Finally, I told him he was crossing my boundary and was being disrespectful and to leave. Very frustrating when these people don't take no for an answer when they are out soliciting. Do better EcoSheild in your training. Respect peoples' boundaries when they say not thank you. read more

Their obnoxious, pushy salesman said he only need 20 seconds after I told him I wasn't interested in pest control products. He babbled on and on and on until I told him I wasn't making decisions standing at my front door with a stranger. Bad business model, slick salesman. He couldn't leave me a card or brochure. Solicitor came to our home at 745pm. Loudly knocked 3 times within 1 minute, causing our dog to bark and waking our 2 year old. This was clearly in violation of the time frame set for legal solicitation. Many replies from owner saying they respect their community (they will probably add their canned reply to this) yet they clearly do not. No solicitor number visible. I was visited here in Foothills Green of Jefferson Co. by one of your...well, let's say uncultured agents doing a walkaround. He tried name-dropping of my neighbor as a customer. I told him I knew the neighbor. Black mark #1 against your boy, since I asked my neighbor and he's not buying anything offered door to door and he, like me, refers any problems to his owner. He then embarked on a discourse of "all the rain" (this has been the driest July-Aug. in years with a bit shy of .6 in.) bringing out the black widow spiders. I told him there's been no rain in six weeks in this area, and he says, "Where have you been???!". Black mark no. 2. I told him that that I lease, this isn't my house, and any needs I have I refer to the absentee slumlord owner. To your man's credit, that didn't hold him back as he related that the neighbor also rents but is apparently going to have you do some mitigation. I covered that in Black Mark #1. Finally, tired of his BS, I told him to take a hike. Now, here's Black mark #3: This peddler doesn't have a vehicle that identifies him, or you. I always look for a vehicle before asking for an ID (the vehicle up the street ploy is known, so I don't depend on that alone). If you want your people to show legitimacy, give them wheels with a logo or sign. Also, because I'm an octopusser and look frail doesn't mean I'm an idiot who doesn't know when, if ever, it has rained. But on that score I'll reserve Black mark #4 out of courtesy. They came out, went past no soliciting signs. Talked us into their services which did nothing. We still have wasps building new nests everyday. Fleas have overtaken our house . They came out offered to spray again and still did nothing, then they charge us for a service that doesn't work plus now we got a bill for $$$ additional to cancel a service that has done nothing. read more

Jackson did a great job for us. He was professional and worked hard to get rid of a wasp problem. They also cleaned spider webs and got ride of spiders in our garage. They also did a treatment in our window wells to block spiders from entering our basement. I would recommend. The prices was also competitive. read more

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS COMPANY. After paying $250 for them to remove 2 paper wasp nest that reappeared a less than a week later. Horrible services, called for them to return never got a return. Had a 3 month visit and they still missed all the spots that were called about 3 months prior.. so now $250 later they are requesting $150 to cancel there horrible service after they won't complete there services. Hands down the worst company I've ever had to deal with. read more

I contracted with Ecoshield for two main reasons: ants and wasps. After two treatments, the conditions have not improved. They do not do what the sales person promises. They may knock down the wasp nests if you ask them, but the wasps return. Save yourself several hundreds of dollars by buying your own products and doing it yourself rather than wasting your money. read more

They don't perform the job and then change "cancellation fees" when you cancel due to their lies and not providing the service you pay for....they also THREATEN elderly people when they try to cancel. All of these other reviewers were smarter than me not to sign up. But since I'm stupid enough to sign up for it, hear the tale of my adventures with this company. They ignored the non-solicitation sign and I signed up because my wasp situation was very difficult and I needed something. They charged me $169 but immediately our house was swarmed with even more wasps. So I cancelled right? Ok good. But they didn't refund me. So I was like ok I guess I still need someone to do it, fine I'll give them a second chance. They cancelled on me 5 times! Each appointment is 1 week out. So here I am $169 down and one month later still had bugs. Ok so let's call and cancel now right? So I called and they wanted to assess me $200 to cancel!!!! For nothing!!!! I still have all the bugs I started with and now potentially $369 in fees. I am trying to get them to get me out of this crazy contract but I'll let you know if they do. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP with this company and read the fine print! I would never recommend this company to anyone. They kept scheduling times to come out via text and then I called to reschedule them. To get access to the rear 2 levels of my townhome, I had to be home. There were 3 times they came and provided services and did not do the rear 2 levels of my townhome. I scheduled time off work to be onsite for a 4 point interior inspection and to give access to the back side of my home, and they came 4 hours before the scheduled time. I missed work and was billed still for the full service. When I called to cancel my contract, they still charged me a $150 fee after having a year of services that did not treat my whole property. To cancel the contract, I provided written notice and a letter. Yet they still required me to take time out of my work day to call them on their 800 # and waste about 20 more minutes of my work day. They proceeded to want someone to come out for a follow up inspection! Asked me that about 3-4 times on the phone. read more

Twice, I was hung up when the rep would not accept my request to cancel service. Finally, I got it done and was charged a cancelation fee equal to about 2 months. The technicians spend less than 2 minutes on the "treatment". It's expensive, I got locked into a 2YEAR CONTRACT... and their treatments didn't even work, I bought my own glue traps for my garage and purchased some pretty good stuff from the internet. We've had EcoShield service our property for pest control for a few years now, and I only wish we'd found them sooner. My partner has legit arachnophobia, and I can say with confidence the EcoShield technicians and products get the job done, and well. We once had a contractor doing some drywall work in the basement who joked about us having a "spider farm". Those days are GONE! Had our latest quarterly service done by a technician named Jeremiah, who was great. He was attentive to what we wanted and super thorough in application, definitely went above and beyond. He even asked to remove the screens on our back room windows, where he found and cleared a good number of spider egg sacs we never knew were there. He was super polite, friendly, and professional, yet another EcoShield technician I'd be thrilled to see again for future service. Thanks very much for a great job Jeremiah! Brant was excellent. He explained his services completely that would be provided on the first day and repeated in one month. He would then apply their pest shield products every 3 months. He gave us his cell phone to call for any questions or emergent pest control needs. read more

EcoShield rep just rang my doorbell at 8:30pm, ignored several polite refusals of their service, using fake neighbor's names to try and build trust. When I stated I do not want any further contact with the company, the rep scoffed at me and said "we won't be the only company bothering you".
