Stayed here one night while passing through. What a lovely experience!…read more As soon as I made the reservation, I had welcome texts from the owners highlighting the area and my stay. They are not staffed 24/7 but they are very prompt with responding to text messages if you have any questions. I stayed in the Kennedy Cottage which was its own private small space away from the main building. The room was lovely and it was nice to have the privacy and not worry about shared walls. They prepared a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning with fruit and a tartin- kind of an open-faced sandwich. My only complaint is the parking is very awkward, especially if you don't have a compact car, but they have made the most of the landscape.

Stumbled on this gem a few months ago and have tried to be here every month since. From the baby grand in the foyer to the comfortable wrap-around front porch, every detail has been thought of for a memorable stay. A bespoke breakfast experience takes place in the toile -covered sunroom with some of the best coffee and homemade yogurt I've ever had. I've stayed in the Martha Washington room a few times because it has everything I need--the perfect mattress, a view overlooking the garden, giant soaking tub, complimentary water and a balcony for my (first) morning coffee. Honestly, meeting Gary and Kitt gave me the definition of southern hospitality. Kitt took care to ask about my dietary needs and adjusted her breakfast menu accordingly. Not only do I strongly recommend at Least one night here, I'm concerned that they'll be too booked up for me to get back in.

We were impressed with all the complimentary snack offerings upon arrival. The beds were standard, comfy, and clean. We had a nice little mountain view and it was a cute area. The tub in the shower didn't have a drain plug and looked like it needed to be painted badly, and the water pressure was very weak, that was the only downside, but not a huge deal for an overnight. We'd definitely stay here again when in Princeton.

This trip was no different--after a seven-hour road trip, the four of us (plus my service dog) rolled in, dreaming of a quick swim and some relaxation. Spoiler alert: that dream died fast. We used the Hilton app to check in, but I went down to the desk for a second key so my husband and I could both access the room and amenities. I gave my room number, and--without asking for my name, ID, or even confirming I belonged there--the employee just handed me a key and said, "Have a good night." I'm sorry, WHAT? That's not customer service, that's a security disaster waiting to happen. We stayed in room 504, where we were greeted by a musty, dirty odor strong enough to knock you backward. The room looked like it hadn't seen a dust cloth in years. The bathtub? Absolutely disgusting. Several light bulbs were out. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, the whole place felt like a tropical rainforest with the humidity, and the Wi-Fi (which I need for my work as a REALTOR®) didn't connect at all. To top it off, the shower had no hot water, and by morning, I'd developed a sore throat. The pool was supposed to be our redemption moment. Instead, an interior light fixture came loose while my kids were in the water. We immediately got them out and told the staff. Two hours later, the pool was still open and people were still swimming like nothing happened. Because apparently, here, safety hazards double as "added ambiance." Then there's the "pet relief" area--a 5x5 patch of grass that looked like a landmine field of other dogs' poop, with shards of glass scattered throughout. The bag dispensers were empty, not that I didn't bring my own. My poor service dog deserves better than that. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, I spotted exposed wires on the 5th floor, seemingly connected to a security camera. Nothing says "welcome" quite like loose electrical wiring. The one and only pleasant surprise? Breakfast. It was actually good--shockingly good, given everything else. Unfortunately, one decent meal doesn't erase the fact that this stay was dirty, unsafe, uncomfortable, and far below the standard Hilton promises, especially for Diamond members.

I especially want to recognize Paige at the front desk for her outstanding customer service. She listened with kindness, professionalism, patience, and compassion. She did not argue, dismiss, or question our concerns. Instead, she immediately looked for a solution and accommodated our family with so much grace and understanding. Sometimes people don't realize how much impact they can make on someone simply by being kind and willing to help. Paige may not have known everything our family had gone through that day, but the way she treated us made us feel seen, welcomed, safe, and cared for during a moment when we truly needed rest. What impressed me most was that her kindness felt genuine. She carried herself with professionalism, warmth, and calmness, and because of her, what started as a stressful night turned into one of the most comforting parts of our journey. Honestly, I truly believe she deserves recognition and promotion for the way she represents this hotel and serves people. I also want to acknowledge the entire staff. The maintenance worker was incredibly humble and hardworking, yet still carried a smile while working. The breakfast staff the next morning were amazing as well, making sure food stayed stocked and everyone was taken care of with kindness and attentiveness. Every interaction we had felt welcoming. Another huge blessing was how accommodating the hotel was with our large moving truck and trailer. Parking during a move can be extremely stressful, especially overnight, but we were able to park comfortably and even had visibility of our vehicles from our room, which brought so much peace of mind. The upgraded room we were accommodated into was spacious, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after days of exhaustion and being on the road. It gave our family the opportunity to finally breathe, rest, reset, and feel safe. This stay left a lasting impression on us, not just because of the hotel itself, but because of the people working there. To Paige and the entire staff: MAHALO! Thank you for reminding us how meaningful kindness, professionalism, and simple human compassion can truly be.
