He immediately got an attitude, "i have been doing this for --years and i have never had anyone bring a surveyor in here". From that time on he was rude and dismissive. We had a surveyor look at the boat, it wouldn't stay running for more than a few minutes, surveyor thought it was probably just old gas and filter. Told them we would take the boat, wanted them to change the filter, drain the gas. While we were there with surveyor Randy walked by a couple times and gave us the side-eye. We picked up the boat, they had said the trailer is not covered under warranty and that they didn't service trailers. They said they had repacked the bearings on the trailer. We took the trailer to a trailer place as we wanted to make sure it was in good order. The surge brakes-master cylinder were all rusted out, locked up, so no brakes. The safety cable in case the trailer came disconnected was hooked to NOTHING. So if it came off the vehicle the brakes would not come on (not that there were any). The wheel bearings had NOT been repacked. Cost us $1800 to get the trailer up to safe standard. We went back to Boat World with the rusted out cylinder in a box, talked to them about how unsafe the trailer was. They said "we don't guarantee a working trailer". I said at a minimum I would expect them to make sure a trailer was safe to be on the road and this one definitely was not. Again, Randy walked by a few times and gave the side-eye but never came over. The maintenance manager kept interrupting me "why didn't you bring it back here?....I don't know why you didn't bring it back here". Finally, I asked "will you let me finish a sentence"? We didn't bring it back here because you said you didn't work on trailers. Also, you said you had repacked the bearing and you hadn't so not sure I would trust you to do the work. He said we aren't paying for it. I offered to split the cost, he said he would talk to his manager and get back to me. He never did. I did call back 2 weeks later and he said "we aren't going to do anything" which is what i figured. I have never been treated so poorly by any place in my life. I would never trust this place to do work on a boat and would not recommend buying from them. Even if they hadn't paid anything to repair the trailer, they could have handled it very different and not been so rude and condescending. If the boat hadn't been exactly what I was looking for I would have walked away. I guess I have to give one star, I would actually give zero. Just read the responses from Randy on the complaints, always snarky and the customer always wrong

How much fun is that...launching a brand new boat that doesn't start! The marina manager spent about 2 hours helping us try to figure out the problem, while Boat World's service manager admitted they never fully tested the boat since it was December in MN, then actually hung up the phone on us rather than help. We found loose battery cables and ultimately loose shift-linkage that caused the no start problem. Later we found electrical issues as well. My mistake was purchasing outside of my local area and actually the manufacturer informed me that Boat World should have advised me to work with a local dealer (they have contracts for each area). The manufacturer was extremely helpful. Boat World sales(Louis) told me to get the necessary work done by authorized dealer/services, then send him the invoices and they would help me to make up for the aggravation. Silly me, I actually believed they would stand behind the boat they sold me. Tahoe had a local dealer take care of the electrical issue at no charge and I found an authorized local Honda servicer for the shift-linkage repair cost $321.00. Now, Boat World sales is telling me that I needed to bring the boat back to them from FL to MN for any work...over a $321.00 invoice! I would never recommend Boat World. There is a serious lack of ethics, lack of customer service, lack of support, but they'll happily accept your money.

If I could "Rule the World (Thanks Tears for Fears), I would have all of my favorite items within a couple of blocks of my home. Well Mark's Prop Shop is nowhere near my home. In fact its almost an hour away. What Mark's Prop Shop is, is the best prop shop that I have ever been to. I have been going to Mark's for over 10 years now. Mark's work is incredible. We all make mistakes in life. The mistakes we make when our prop hits a rock or rocks is about as bad as it gets in a boaters world. When you take your prop to Mark, he can repair that prop and make it look brand new! I wonder if I could see him for confession too? Just like I recently said to him on my latest visit, I hope to see you again but not too soon. His work is that good, but too soon would mean that I found some more rocks or otherwise did damage to my nice prop. Most of the guys I know from fishing all go to Marks, he is just that good. I feel their cost is affordable and they are very efficient. A brand new stainless steel prop retails for about $600.00 or more. For about $100.00 mine looks brand new. I dropped my prop off about a week ago and I know they were really busy with the nice weather we have had and the fishing opener coming up. My prop was done in a week and I am back in business. Mark is with out a doubt the best in the business. If your prop got into a fight with some rocks and lost, check out Mark's Prop Shop!

They asked us to leave the keys with the boat and sent us on our way! When we went to pickup the boat and asked for the keys they said they shrinkwrap them IN THE BOAT and said that's what they do, but didn't tell us, the customer who have our trailer lock keys with the boat key! I asked for a discount to buy a new lock and they said, "NO" and that's on a $500plus bill, and that was the "service manager"! Oh, I did sit on hold twice today waiting to check the status of the boat...once for 17minutes, hung up and later for 23 minutes! They did expedite the service today, so that's why I gave them 3 and not 2 stars. Be aware your keys get shrinkwrapped inside and they don't think they need to tell you that!

We had just purchased a pontoon and trailer in the Scandia area and were heading back home to Buffalo. We knew the trailer tires were in bad shape but thought we could make it home slowly, especially since we had a spare. About ten miles into our trip, a tire blew out. After putting on the spare, we knew our chances of making it the rest of the way were slim to none. We found Hallberg Marine was only nine miles away and didn't require getting on the freeway, so we limped over there. When we walked in, we saw three people talking. It was a Saturday afternoon, and my phone had indicated they were open. A woman asked what we needed, and we explained our difficult situation. She informed us that they were actually closed for inventory and couldn't help. We asked about other options nearby, but it seemed we were out of luck. Just as we were losing hope, one of the gentlemen, Matt Dervie, spoke up. He asked if we could change the tires ourselves if we had the parts. "Absolutely," we said, having just changed the first one. He motioned for us to follow him and proceeded to get us set up with four new tires and rims. We were so incredibly grateful to him for going out of his way when he didn't have to. After he helped us cart the new tires out to our trailer, he had us pull over to another building where he brought out a floor jack for us to use! Thanks to Matt's outstanding and sympathetic service, we were back on the road in less than an hour. He truly saved the day for us and turned what would have been a terrible experience into an incredibly positive one. Thank you, Matt, for your exceptional help!

I had tried everything that I could think of before bringing it to them. During drop off, I went over the list of things that I had tried only to be billed for those exact things. A month later I received a text saying the total was $750 for all the time spent. When I called to question the amount (I didn't expect it be for nothing) Shawn (The owner) decided to get heated and use the F word in every sentence. Assuming they were Trailer experts was the only reason I brought it there since I am not. After the unprofessional call, he texted me saying he would reduce the bill. Brought it down to $540 for labor. When I returned home with the trailer and went inside, they had left all the wiring, parts and wrappers thrown thru out. That was the first and will be the last time ever bring anything to that business. (My spare tire on the back of the trailer was punctured as well. I planned on replacing it anyways but it was still holding air when I dropped the trailer off)
