Our car conveniently in front of the room.
    Angeline H.

Came here for a visit to the Grand Canyon with my bf and my small black dog. We felt welcomed by the front desk at our Friday night arrival around 7:30 pm - she recommended nearby dinner and drinks places and the check in process took less than 10 minutes. The amount we were quoted on TripAdvisor was accurate as well. Our room was a few doors down from the lobby so it was easy to find. BATHROOM: Tub is outdated; has some soap stains and a plastic shower curtain isn't always great, but it was fine for quick showers, nothing luxurious. Floor does has some scuffing which looks like dirt at first and was a little off putting. Sink and toilet were spotless. Towels were clean enough, but I may bring my own next time since I was a little skeptical of some spots on the towel hanging on the tub meant to act as a bath mat to the tub. BEDROOM: Two beds was cheaper than one when we were booking, so even though we only needed one we went with this, which made the room definitely feel a little smaller. Pillows are firm and comfortable; blanket feels a little old with 1-2 small holes here and there, but smelled fine and was comfortable for our sleep. OTHER AMENITIES: WiFi is perfect, A/C smells a little musty but is not distracting during sleep, TV has most basic channels, fridge and microwave are convenient. The breakfast in the lobby was simple (cereal, toast, and hard boiled eggs) but I liked the paper plates since I could bring the food back to my room, since there is limited seating. PET FRIENDLY: My small 20-pound black terrier was comfortable here. The grass area is located in the middle of the parking lot with a doggie bag dispenser and a small trash - it's not large at all but it worked for her since she's relatively small. I like that we didn't have to take an elevator so her potty trips were quick. We felt safe leaving her in the room for a couple of hours. Found a dog friendly brunch place (The Toasted Owl) nearby and it was lovely. AREA: We arrived in the evening so only saw a few fast food places nearby, which are great for convenience (Chipotle, Dunkin' Donuts, ChickFilA, etc. as well as a Safeway and Target 2 minutes away). Street was kind of busy so didn't feel comfortable walking in the evening. Other clientele at this hotel include older couples and some tour groups. We did venture to the downtown area the next night 2 minutes away and found a lot of cute stores, restaurants (sushi, ramen, BBQ, brunch, etc), and bars. Grand Canyon is 1.5 hours away but the drive isn't bad and this seems to be the closest town with the most amenities and things to do. I will be honest and say I'm not completely used to staying in a motel-type lodging so I was a little nervous having our room so easily accessible to the street and the parking lot, but my two nights here proved I had nothing to worry about - this is a safe and family friendly town. Overall, a comfortable, safe, and mostly clean place to recharge and relax with lots of convenient restaurants nearby. Can't beat the price and comfort for being nearby the Grand Canyon. My dog really enjoyed it too! :) We would return in the future.

    Clean rooms!

Nice hotel in a good location. Close to lots of restaurants and stores (target, grocery, cvs). Staff at the front desk are very nice. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Very hot water for the shower. We did loose power for a few moments during a storm.

Patch work with a tiny hole in the tub? Yikes!!

Well it's the summer season so they will of course over charge for what you get. It's some what dirty but it is an ECONOlodge... need I say more? We chose this place because they were somewhat "fair" with the pet fee where other hotels charge a hefty deposit with a minimum of $25 a night. You can't come to this place expecting it to be the Ritz. However I do expect clean towels and clean sheets...did we get that? Nope! The plus side is they have every single HBO channel and no bed bugs so if you are looking for a hotel to just lay your head down for a night or two and not hang out or entertain in, then this is the place for you. It's on a busy street so you do get the traffic noise (if your room is close to the road). Thankfully it dies down at night.

There was nothing particularly special about the room, but I was glad that it was clean. I liked that there was plenty of parking and easy access to car. I really appreciated that I was given a late check-out without any interruptions from the cleaning staff the following day.

That looks super safe. Manager didn't care.

Management here is horrible. On the website they list the double queen room as being acceptable for 5 with a rollaway and even let you prebook the rollaway. LIES. The bed literally could not lay down anywhere in the room. The front desk agent Sierra was very kind throughout but when she called her manager they told us it was up to us to figure out and "people" put it between the queen beds. You can see the fantastic *eye roll* fit in the pictures. As a result we had to physically move the entire queen platform bed to make room to wedge it in. Who makes the customer move the large furniture in the hotel room? As a result the bed had to be against the heater because there was no where else for it to go. Super safe right? I'm sure the Fire Marshall would love to see that. In the process we lifted the mattress to the rollaway and saw that the bottom was very questionably held on by a single spring and the rest had torn. This is what the manager wanted my son to sleep on. I informed Sierra I wasn't comfortable with this rollaway and the fire danger with the heater. I showed her all the pictures attached so she could see exactly the issues I was having. I asked her to see if her manager could get us a second room at a discounted rate as a possible solution since the advertised room did not fit the number of people we booked for safely (and yes we listed all 5 in the booking). The manager would not discount a second room at all but Sierra was nice enough to let us know there was another row of rooms a foot wider and with newer rollaways on their row and got us moved there. This room did work much better, the rollaway did fit between the beds although it's not a twin size if that's what you're expecting. This room could at least safely sleep us all even if it left no walkway on the sides of the bed. These rooms are the only ones they should even consider allowing a rollaway. Most of town was booked so I was at the breakdown point because I couldn't just go somewhere else. I'm disgusted by the management of this hotel. The rooms themselves aren't bad, but rollaways should not be offered at this hotel at all and if they are the equipment they have should be maintained in a safe manner. We booked this hotel specifically because it was one of the few that offered a room for 5 through the choice hotel website. Most explicitly state that a rollaways are not an option and that is understandable. Management could have made this right by offering possible solutions at the first issue with the rollaway but instead decided customer service meant nothing to them.

I book the room in the morning and usually arrive late. I booked this room Oct 24, 2025 thru booking.com. I reserved a king room. I arrived around 11 p.m. to check in. The clerk stated that they didn't have any king rooms available, they shampooed the carperts and they are not dry, I have a double queen. I said I booked a king room, if you do not have it cancel my room and I'll find another place to stay. To my surprise she found a king room and stated that she would have to inconvience another guest (not my problem). She snatched up my card and charged it $128. I got to the room on the 3rd floor in the back no elevator. The windows and door was facing the wall in the breese way. there was a ramp going down to get into the room (the floor was lower to the door seal. I turned on the lights and this was horrible, a slight smell of mold, the ceiling had big stains and cracks from leaking, the entire paint job in the room was horrible (looks like someone tried to stretch a pint of paint for the entire room). This room was actually a suite with a kitchen. The refirgerator looks like it was sitting outside in the elements and put in the room complety filtly inside and outside. The cabinets looked like they were picked out of a dumpster, the stove had a red light on it showing the electrice burners were on, the oven was gross. The floors were not swepted or mopped. The walls had stains all over them drip markes to the floor. The double couch was gross, I moved it from the wass and there was enough dirt and dust to grow weeds. There were white shavings (powder) from sanding the walls all over the edges of the walls, The tile job on the floor lookes like a 6 year old did it, huge gaps all around the base boards. Every light swith was dirty and reused with different paint and stains, a light over the sink was out. You could not close the bathroom door from inside the bath room without standing in the tub, it was only about 6 to 8 inches between the door and toilet. The light above the mirror was a plug in type flurencent light bar that some stuffed into a box and covered it up. The tub was black and old, you could see where the shower mat had been removed, the caulking around the tub and tiile was horrible and over used, this included the baseboards around the toilet and next to the door by the tub. There was dust all over the head board that banged if you touched it, the same all over the one night stand. The drapes had water stains all over them from where it leaks inside. I took photos. When I checked out I asked for the manager and got the excuse that the manager is out and will not be in tell next week. I beleive that this is a family member that owns this hotel. There was a guy there that she was talking to also I believe a family member. Ramada this place is horrible and for you to allow them to use your name is embarrassing.

We decided to complete our spontaneous journey by booking a hotel once we arrived in Flagstaff. We decided to book at Hotel Elev8 as it offered great amenities at an acceptable price point. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. When we went to our room, we entered through a side entrance as recommended by the front desk staff. From the main hallway- I was a bit surprised by an abundance of maid carts and extension cords for the vacuums strung out all over the floor. I saw this as a major liability of a guest were to trip over a cord. The hotel does not have an elevator, which could pose an issue for some guests. This did not bother us though. Our room was clean, and updated. I was very impressed by how nice of a room it was considering the low price we paid. I loved that there was a 24 hour gym, sauna, large hot tub and pool on the property. All in all, I feel that this hotel was well worth it for the price. We would definitely book another room here in the future.

Housekeeping does absolutely nothing different because there was a pet in the room. Policies like this are just a blatant rip off. He seems mentally unbalanced and is not a good face for the business. I made a reservation online and arrived with a small camper in tow. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.

The staff when I arrived was nice and welcoming. Lee was working and she's absolutely wonderful. This being said- I switched rooms three times within the first 10 minutes. The second rooms beds were made but the bedding was unusually wrinkled, I pulled both back and there was body fluids and tons of hair all over the sheets. The third room that we actually stayed in under the repeated phrase of "it's just one night and we don't have to shower", the linens were clean but it was gross. Phone had dirt all over it and was sticky, there was crumbs all over the floor (didn't realize it until I took my socks off and walked to the bathroom and then we put shoes on anytime we walked on the floors afterwards), there is dirt build up everywhere and in every nook and cranny of the room, it looks like at one point they painted or resealed bathtubs and they are all peeling, there is stuff wiped all over the walls, the elevator/stairs/everywhere that's a common area is gross. So when we had to travel to Flagstaff again for some appointments at the end of Feb this year, we figured things would be same. We had booked through Priceline a queen room in a smoking room as we vape. When we checked in, the woman was very nice and check in was fine. Our room however was not good. It was 2 double beds. One of the lights didn't work. The lights that did work had two different light shades. There was something very sticky dropped on the floor that hot water couldn't even get off the floor. One of the lamp shades was broken. The TV got maybe 10 tv channels. There was a dirty crusty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain bar. The beds were pretty hard. The biggest downfall of the room was how hot the room was. When we checked in, it was really warm, so we pushed the ancient (falling off the wall) thermostat all the way to cool and turned on the fan. Instead of cooling the room, it got to over 90 degrees.
