I can't say enough good things about this company. They've been by to replace my garage door coils and also install a new garage door opener. More recently, I had an issue where the door wouldn't close and they called me to troubleshoot over the phone: sensor issue. It was fixed and they didn't have to come out. Today, I hit the garage door with my car (oops), and it wouldn't close all the way. Somebody from Econo-Doormasters came by, made an adjustment, and it worked again. Glenn fixed my door (broken bracket connecting to opener) with a creative solution and then fixed the root cause too (too short connector from bracket to track) and made several small adjustments to tracks and lubricated everything. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Just the service call is about $180 (which they should probably tell you when making the appt) but it was worth it since my issue was fixed and I didn't need to buy a new garage door (which was what another garage company suggested since they couldn't come up with a good way to repair). I called for a stacked door, suspecting a broken drum or spool. I was told it could not be repaired and I had to replace the garage door. Yes, it is an old custom wood door but it did not look broken. I paid for unwinding the steel cable and shut the door. Next day a different business changed the drums. Almon scheduled the appointment for 11 am and arrived on time . I recently had a need for service on my garage door opener and unfortunately I first called precision garage door and they sent someone who told me my problem was with the wheels and he could replace them for $400. Two days after I paid him $443 to replace the wheels it stopped working and this time I called Econo Doormaster. They sent out a very good technician named Amanjeep who really knew everything about garage doors and he said we needed a new opener. I already had a new Craftsman opener I had bought a few treats ago and Amanjeep said it was a good one so he installed it. Watching him work was like watching an artist. He did the job very well and the install was done quickly. After he readjusted my door tracks for perfect alignment and lubricated the entire door and programmed the opener for me. I found he would have charged me only $120 for the same wheels I paid over $400 for and he said that wasn't the problem anyway I can not give a higher recommendation than I give to Econo Doormaster. Lately though my garage door has been frequently refusing to close. I had a great experience with Econo-Doormasters recently. Our garage door was not closing on an intermittent basis and called for a service. The technician adjusted the detector on the door and did routine maintenance but the next day the door was still acting up. (Evidently when he tested it he thought it was repaired.) I called in to the office to say the door was still not closing reliably and they sent another technician the very next day. He was able to fix the door and now it closes smoothly every time.
