I'm glad they did, because Jon contacted me a few days later apologizing for the delayed response on Yelp and asked if I could continue the conversation via email(hence my original note in this review). There was a princess tree or something of that nature that sprouted up last year and needed to go as it was getting out of control, my wife wanted weeds removed, washed rocks, and peonies in front. In the back we also finally decided to finish our walkway with flagstone. Jon was great to work with, responding to both texts and emails for verifications and changes throughout the process and pricing was competitive. I needed some basic mow, trim, blow services to keep my yard looking presentable, and did some online research and asked around for quotes. Sugarloaf Lawn Care stood out right away in a few areas - professionalism, communication, and technology. It was a mixed bag with other companies - sometimes they were slow, vague, or inflexible. The Sugarloaf website has multiple web forms for quotes, making it easy to get pricing, and communication has been great so far. Costs and scheduling has been clear and simple, and the later stage of payment has also been quick and easy. The prices were reasonable for what I got done - though it's possible I'm just used to city pricing in the DC area, after which everything looks reasonable. But I do appreciate the convenient digital processes this company seems to have - that's a big deal for me, having a nice payment Web UI and such. The crew did a good job. They mowed, trimmed, and cleaned up with a blower. Easy stuff, but they didn't mess it up. My fence and trees were not beat up from the string, mulch wasn't blasted around, they inferred the property lines correctly, etc. They did what I asked without damaging anything - so all good there. I didn't ask for anything advanced and my yard is pretty straightforward. They were in, did the job, and out, on the day they said they would. No hassle and hands off by me. It's just been one service (and of course any company is on its best behavior at that time) but so far so good. I'd recommend them based on communication and convenience alone - that's sometimes hard to find with contractors and trades-people. Looking forward to more good appointments.

I had a few projects that he promised to finish in 2-3 days. After paying for the materials, he kept cancelling appointments. Now, TWO MONTHS LATER & after over a dozen cancelled appointments, the projects are still incomplete. Everything's started but nothing's finished. I've got dug-up holes that have been sitting for weeks, to the point where my neighbors and HOA are complaining. He trimmed my trees but left dead branches outside for 2 weeks & all the leaves blew into my neighbors' properties. I had to clean it all up myself after their complaints. The worst part? He repeatedly said he'd come by, and after waiting all day, he wouldn't show or even have the courtesy to call me ahead of time. I've wasted weeks and countless weekends waiting for him. I even went on a 2-week vacation, came back, and discovered he hadn't done any work at all. I'm beyond frustrated with constantly calling and begging him to do the job I already paid for.
