Brought in our furry family member to get some emergency medical care. She needed an acute care due to her inability to stand on her own as she was off-balance. After searching Yelp for an open Veterinary Hospital on a Friday night; found Eclipse open 24 hours. So, I made the call and spoke with them to confirm they were open and they have the ability to address her situation. Arriving after a 20 minute ride, there was no waiting time, they took her immediately to the treatment area for a prompt examination of her situation. After completing the initial intake documentation we spoke with a technician to explain the situation that led us there. After a period of time, the ER Vet - Dr. Charlotte Van Horne spoke with us regarding the different pathways of a diagnosis for the treatment of vertigo, along with of her progression . The Doc gave a thorough explanation and was showed patience in answering all our questions. She didn't rush or push her treatment, and I appreciated the clear explanations provided and treatment plan. After a day at home, we decided to bring her back Saturday since my dog refused to eat or drink water for approximately 24 hours, hence she was unable to take her meds. The waiting room was busy with other dogs and cats. We spoke with the staff and then consulted with Dr. Katie Bazewicz on her diagnosis and our options. We chose to admit her for the next 24 hours so my dog can get the proper amount of fluids via an I.V.; actually kept her admitted until Monday morning when our dog would be examined by the Vet Neurologist - Dr. Boaz Levitin. He provided a thorough exam and gave his diagnosis which gave us comfort with the current treatment plan and didn't just push us for an MRI, which isn't the best option due to my dog's age. We were extremely impressed with the level of care and attention we received. The entire medical team was professional, knowledgeable, and communicative; from the receptionist, med techs, nurses, doctors, and specialist. The staff were friendly and empathetic throughout our several visits. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The waiting room is large and nicely decorated for the holidays. They have a complimentary water, along with a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine to include a soda/snack vending machine. The price points for the services may be higher than your usual Vet bill, however you need to understand that this is a 24 hour ER service. It could be a little pricey, but my question is how important is your furry family member valued by you and your family in your home. Overall, I was very satisfied with the care provided and would highly recommend Eclipse ER Vet Hospital to others. Feeling so fortunate that when my cat Pouncey became acutely ill with increased urinary symptoms while in town visiting my parents, Eclipse Emergency Care was right down the street. Despite being in the medical field myself, I felt in over my head with a feline emergency. Thankfully, I was met with care and compassion every step of the way starting with the initial triage, and Pouncey was rushed back for immediate evaluation after I described his symptoms. Special thanks to Dr. Kuck, who was extremely thorough and despite already making the initial diagnosis of FLUTD, performed additional workup as Pouncey's bloodwork looked suspicious. She ultimately also diagnosed him with a left kidney mass. Although this was devastating news, she performed the necessary workup and helped me transition seamlessly to his local vet back in California, even calling several days later to follow up and make sure his records got sent over. Pouncey is thankfully on the mend, and is scheduled to see a local surgeon for his tumor - all of this would have been impossible without the expert and timely care from Eclipse! read more

On 1/2/26, we noticed that our five-year-old dog, Lexi, wasn't herself and that something seemed off. We took her to our veterinarian at Willowbrook Animal Hospital, where she was seen by Dr. Ilka Bott-Wentworth (Dr. BW). After examining Lexi, Dr. BW told us that she had injured her back. She prescribed medication and advised us to monitor her closely. By 1/6/26, we noticed that Lexi had begun dragging her back right paw. We immediately reached out to Dr. BW, who recommended that we take her to Eclipse Emergency Hospital. Throughout this time, Dr. BW constantly checked on Lexi and truly went above and beyond her duties as a veterinarian. At Eclipse, Lexi was examined by Dr. Charlotte Van Horne. She was wonderful--she thoroughly explained everything and recommended crate therapy for 4-6 weeks, while also discussing the possibility of spinal surgery if Lexi did not improve during that time. Just three days later, we noticed that Lexi had begun knuckling her back paw. Once again, we contacted our amazing veterinarian, Dr. BW, who immediately advised us to take Lexi back to Eclipse. There, Lexi was seen by neurologist Dr. Katherine Cook. This was an incredibly stressful time for my husband and me, as it was heartbreaking to see Lexi in so much pain and not herself. After discussing our options, we agreed to move forward with surgery. That same day, Dr. Cook and her team performed emergency spinal surgery. The entire team at Eclipse was exceptional and communicated with us every step of the way. Dr. Cook called both before and after the surgery, and Taylor from Neurology also contacted us to review Lexi's medications. Kristian at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful as well. The day after surgery, Dr. Fiffa called to let us know that Lexi was doing great and that we could pick her up on 1/11/26. When we arrived to take her home, Brittany met with us and carefully went over Lexi's medications and home-care instructions. She was also very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Eclipse Emergency Hospital. I would also highly recommend our veterinarian, Dr. Ilka Bott-Wentworth. If it weren't for her quick action and dedication, Lexi could have been paralyzed if we had waited. The care and love she showed Lexi were truly above and beyond expectations. DO NOT GO HERE - I WAS CALLED ANNOYING BY DR. SANDE BECAUSE I ASKED QUESTIONS regarding a fatal situation with our cats... Our cats ate oriental lilies which can be fatal, we called our vet and they recommended we bring them immediately to Eclipse. I was impressed at the beginning with their compassion and professionalism (at the front desk) but that quickly changed when I started asking questions...I kindly told the Doctor (Dr. Allison Sande) that I needed to speak with my husband regarding whether or not we would have our cats stay another night. Keep in mind our bill at this point was already over 5k and another 24 hours was going to cost over 3k so in total over 8k out of pocket!! While I muted myself to speak with my husband, Dr Sande proceeded to talk to a colleague and tell them exactly what we had talked about and that she had already told me the answers to my questions and that I had put her on hold and I was annoying. She clearly didn't realize I was still listening. I immediately returned to the conversation and told her I heard everything she said about me...she tried to back peddle and say that she was talking about someone else...complete BULLSH*T!!! I began to cry and said I want to talk to a manager, 2 "supervisors" got on the phone and while they were understanding of my hurt and frustration with everything, they proceeded to say she was talking about someone else. We decided to pick our cats up instead of having them stay over another night. While checking out they tried to charge me for items that I was told I would not be charged for. I asked to speak to the supervisor on duty and Holly came out. I explained to Holly everything that happened with Dr. Sande and she proceeded to cut me off and tell me that Dr Sande says she was talking about someone else and that is it. Holly was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. I will NEVER go back there and I strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of going there to rethink it because you will be made to feel like you are an idiot. The doctors and supervisors are unprofessional, dismissive, uncaring, horrible individuals that should not be able to practice medicine. read more

First off it is sad this industry has become about ripping off customers because they care for an animal the way they care for a child. Its unethical a business can operate in this fashion preying upon one's love for their pet. Reminds me a shady door to door sleazy snake oil salesman. Now that I have said that let me begin. My dog was having trouble digesting his food so we wanted to schedule a simple ultrasound for his stomach to rule out any causes. That alone was pricey but we accepted the price, upwards of 800. We were told we would be with our pup the entire time when we got there but then was proceeded to a large room, of which were many, to be kept secluded while they take our dog in another backroom to perform god only knows what? They never said they were going to shave his entire section of fur off (which i am sure we would have been okay with but they didnt tell us prior which in itself should be illegal). So in the end they just wanted to make as much money as possible we went from having a bill of roughly 1k to them wanting to charge us 2600 for more testing and btw not giving any answers to why he has digestive diarrhea. So we paid 1600 for them to tell me that he might be allergic to chicken. Dr. Greenfield was the doctors name. Was not given anything for his medical condition. I could go on and on here but the simple fact is this place is the worst animal hospital I have ever encountered. Very disappointed. read more

We brought our dog Bella to Eclipse after she was diagnosed with mitral valve disease. Our local vet recommended their cardiology department, and from the moment we met Dr. Zahn and the team, we knew we were in great hands. Bella was cared for by Eclipse for a couple of months before she just recently passed, and throughout that time--and even after her passing--they showed extraordinary compassion and kindness. Every staff member treated Bella like she was their only patient. As we all know, proper pet care is very costly. Not once did we feel like we were taken advantage of or recommended a procedure, test or any type of imaging that was unnecessary. We're deeply grateful for the care, empathy, and professionalism shown by everyone at Eclipse. They made Bella's final months as comfortable as possible, and we'll always be thankful for that. The way everyone at Eclipse treated us and Bella was so special, they should find a way to patent such compassion. They didn't miss a beat, not a single one. This establishment found a way to combine the best doctors, techs, receptionists and crew - a feat that almost seems impossible. Unfortunately, we had to rush our dog to the hospital recently due to eating a lot of medication. The front and back staff and nurses were really nice. The staff immediately took him in the back and triaged his situation. The doctor we saw that night was nice. I will say it was a little upsetting that when we asked her about the approximate cost, she gave us an amount that was about $1,250 lower than what the written estimate was. This hospital was extremely expensive. I knew we were in trouble when I was told I had to call Poison Control myself and explain what our dog ate, I had to get a Case number and a phone number and then the ER Vet would call them. There was a $110 fee for this call. I was definitely taken back that the ER didn't take care of this. I would think this ER would have a direct line and relationship with Poison Control. It's a little absurd that we had to pay a $110 fee for Poison Control. My dog had to stay for 24 hours. $3,500 later...... My husband and I are both retired and this cost really set us back, but of course we weren't going to let him die. I was told I could call and check on him any time, which I did. Of course we were very worried about him. All the staff were very nice when I called until I spoke to Dr. Carey Hemmelgarn. She had such an attitude. I called twice that day and she was so cold and rude. Every question I asked she answered "Like I told you earlier ......... , she was so short with me, she showed NO COMPASSION or understanding to my concern and worry. It was a terrible ordeal having to rush our dog to an ER and having to leave him there and then to have to deal with Dr. Hemmelgarn. Other than those 2 calls, she never came and spoke to me when we picked him up and there was no interaction with her. Besides Eclipse being extremely expensive and having to deal with Dr. Hemmelgarn, everyone else was really nice and showed us they were concerned. We did bring our dog home the next day and the staff did call and check on him the next day which was very nice of them. I give ***** to all the staff that took care of my dog I give NO STARS to Dr. Carey Hemmelgarn I do wish the Vets & Animal Hospital were a little more conscious and cared about the outrageous charges that are given to families. read more

To the Founders of Eclipse; you failed us on "Passion and Excellence". This review concerns our experience with Dr. Zoe Greenfield, who attended to us yesterday during our visit at Eclipse. We had expected Dr. Suliman Al-Ghazalat to treat our cat, Gaston (as he treated him a few days prior) and indicated he would be back in office on Thursday 7/24 but instead, Dr. Greenfield was assigned to our case. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the most emotionally difficult and upsetting experiences we've ever endured. Over the past six weeks, we spent approximately $40,000 at Eclipse Veterinary Hospital to care for our beloved pets. Our cat, a deeply loved family member, was treated like an object, without dignity or compassion on his final day. We did not even get to say a proper goodbye while he was alive. We are beyond broken. Dr. Greenfield came across as cold and unempathetic. She did not show any meaningful effort to support us or our cat through such a painful time. Her answers to our questions were robotic and contradictory, which added to our confusion and distress. In addition, she demonstrated an attitude. Dr Greenfield does not belong in this profession as these must have traits to be in the medical field. We asked several times to see Dr Al-Ghazlat but we were denied meanwhile we saw him several times walking by. Our appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, yet the procedure did not begin until 4:30 PM. The communication throughout the day was chaotic. Staff gave conflicting information, and no one kept us informed. We waited in agony for hours with no clarity. We do want to recognize two individuals. Brigit, a nurse, showed genuine compassion when she was present--though unfortunately, she disappeared without any follow-up or updates. Angela, the staff manager, who listened to our concerns expressed twice about the lack of coordination and communication, and we truly appreciate that.i hope there will be consequences so no one else feels helpless like we did. While we understand that the outcome--euthanizing our terminally ill cat--would have been the same, the way his final day was handled made it far more traumatic than it needed to be. It was a heartbreaking and, frankly, dehumanizing experience for both our cat and our family. You failed us. A heartbroken family. read more

We brought our male cat into Eclipse the evening of 7/16 for a suspected urinary blockage, which is considered emergent. When we arrived they immediately brought him back to assess him. After some sedation and an exam they determined he didn't have a blockage but diagnosed him with feline lower urinary tract disease. Dr. Snyder was amazing and thoroughly explained everything and went over the treatment plan and environmental factors. She kindly and knowledgeably answered all my questions. The three employees working the front desk were very kind, friendly and welcoming. Chatting with them really helped take our mind off the situation. They even allowed us to bring our dog in to wait as well (separation anxiety.) The office was very nice, clean, and they provided things like tea and coffee while you wait. This was our first visit to Eclipse and we had a great experience. Even though it was a busy night we were in and out within a few hours. Thank you so much to the entire staff!! read more

We had to say goodbye to our boy today. When I called to ask if they would help him pass, they said of course and we will be waiting for you. We had hoped to have him go at home on his couch in our arms. But we couldn't wait for an in home visit. Eclipse has a room with a couch, warmly lit, very comfortable, and calming. The Dr., I wish I remember her name but I was too grief struck, was kind, compassionate (as was everyone else), and helped our boy go peacefully, on a couch, in our arms. I can't even begin to express my experiences with this hospital, The first time Francie came here was 2 years ago and she was diagnosed with IVDD . Dr Crook couldn't have been any more professional. She was honest with us and didn't suggest any further testing due to a very low chance of surgical success. We were ready to adjust our lives to live with our baby and her loss of the use of her rear legs. However, due to my wife's dedication and her ability to take excellent care of our baby girl she actually recovered and was almost back to 100% mobility fast forward till March of this year our baby starts exhibiting signs of pain in her neck while undergoing treatment with a dermatology specialist I just didn't expect to lose our little girl but on 4/29 she succumbed to a brain aneurysm. I visited with my cat who had a urinary blockage and had a horrible experience. Immediately, the veterinarian attempted to charge me thousands of dollars for diagnostics without providing an alternative (and financially viable) course of action. I declined their suggestions and immediately was provided with a *much* cheaper option. After that, I simply requested they treat my cat to where he was in a condition to leave and followed up immediately with my regular vet the next day. Care quality and concern for the clientele are abysmal. Rather than upcharging me and attempting to pick my pockets, they could have been decent human beings and escalated care as it was actually necessary. read more

Our vet recommended us to take our dog Brody to Eclipse this past Thursday night. Brody had been vomiting, having diarrhea, and was not eating or drinking anything. He was so out of it and we truly thought this was goodbye as he is 13. The first doctor for emergency medicine Dr. Vanhorne saw him Thursday night and told us she felt he had pancreatitis and that with some fluids, medications, and rest she thought he would be okay over time. The staff was wonderful in calming us down because I was an absolute mess. They told us we could call whenever (24/7) and were very accommodating to our financial needs too. Never felt they pushed us to do testing or anything. The next morning Dr Pacifico took over his care. She was absolutely wonderful. We did not make her job easier with the stress, anger, and anxiety we brought when we came to visit Brody. She laid everything out for us, let us come visit Brody whenever to help try and get him to eat, she explained all the things that were going on and was very professional even when we were at our lowest point. She told us every family has to set their boundaries for the vets whether that's emotional, financial, or how many days they want their pets there and they would help accommodate that for us. We had to trust her and while it wasn't easy, she was absolutely right. He needed two nights in the ICU and while I don't have any of their names every tech who answered the phone or helped us with our visits were fantastic. They gave us great updates and I can't say enough nice things about this place. They saved Brody. I thought we'd be saying goodbye but now he's back home and doing well. I started going to Eclipse about two years ago with my cat Klaus, who was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma at just five months old. By the time we came to Eclipse, Klaus had already been receiving cancer treatment at Blue Pearl for three years--and he was, and still is, doing wonderfully. My first major issue with Eclipse is that Dr. Baez, the oncologist, discusses care and treatment plans with pet owners in the waiting room, which is often full of people and their sick animals. While I understand taking pets to a separate room for diagnostics or bloodwork, having sensitive medical conversations in a public space is unbelievably inappropriate. It's distracting, uncomfortable, and frankly, unacceptable. No one would discuss a child's medical care in a waiting room, so why is it okay for pets? It's not. Last month, Klaus needed a refill of one of his many medications--a chemo drug he's been on for five years. A receptionist called to inform me they wouldn't refill it until he had updated bloodwork, which was overdue. Fair enough--I immediately booked an appointment with our regular vet for the next day and asked that they still refill the medication in the meantime, since it's mail-order and takes time to arrive. I was told they wouldn't--and, shockingly, that it was "okay" for Klaus to miss a dose of chemotherapy. This was said by a receptionist. I asked to speak with Dr. Baez directly, but a few hours later, someone else from the oncology team--not Dr. Baez--called me back. She also said they wouldn't refill the medication until they had updated bloodwork. (I want to note that Klaus's bloodwork has always been excellent. He's never had any issues.) Standard of care for humans is to refill maintnence medications until an appointment can be made and or test results received. My regular veterinarian also confirmed that denying medications is reckless. I apologized for missing the follow-up and mentioned that it was scheduled for the next day. I gently suggested that perhaps Eclipse could implement a reminder system to help pet owners stay on top of follow-ups--life gets busy, and things slip through the cracks. Her response? "We need our pet parents to take responsibility for their pets." I was stunned. This person, who doesn't know me or anything about the lengths I've gone to for my animals, had the nerve to say something so dismissive and rude. Let me give you some context: Klaus has had cancer for five years. I've spent thousands just on his diagnosis alone. My other cat, Finn, is currently four years old and an FIP survivor. I spent thousands to get him life-saving medication prior to the FDA approving treatment for this terrible illness. When veterinarians were still telling people that their was no cure, no treatment, I found it and my Finn is happy and healthy today. My cat Otis had diabetes and kidney disease. I gave him daily meds and subcutaneous fluids for the last year of his life. I treated my hedgehog Wydell for glaucoma. I even nursed a duck through pneumonia. Most people would've given up on these animals or wouldn't have been able to afford to treat them. I would--and have--spent my last dollar for my pets. The day after this upsetting experience, I called the office and asked to speak with a manager. One called me back, apologized, and said she'd look into it. I again asked to have Dr. Baez call me. That was a month and a half ago. Still no call. I've since canceled Klaus' oncology appointments at Eclipse. I don't trust them with his care and no longer feel they have any compassion or medical competence. We've now found care at Oradell, and had our first appointment today. We were brought into an exam room, where the doctor spoke with us face to face and examined Klaus right in front of me. We have a solid plan moving forward, and--for the first time since Dr. Sherger left Blue Pearl--I finally feel like Klaus is in good hands again. read more

I cannot say enough about the Veterinarians, techs, front desk staff at Eclipse. I had two separate experiences here. Both were completely heart wrenching with my pets but the staff are so kind, compassionate and patient with you it makes it a little easier during a time of extreme distress. They treat your animals with dignity and respect. I hope you never need emergency medical attention for your animal but if you do, Eclipse is the place to go. Eclipse performed emergency surgery on my dog Max and saved his life! I could not be more impressed with the doctors, vet techs and the facility itself. I would let them do surgery on me! They also took great care of my dog as he recovered. I do not where to start but I had to put my down my Girlie girl while her stay at the hospital on 3/31/23. It was one of the most heartwrenching experience I had to go through but I knew it was time to let her go. I had to make sure I was there in her final moment and she went peacefully. The hospital staff was so compassionate, understanding and made the experience easier for me. Girlie has been hospitalized in December as well and she was one of their "favorites." I want to thank the team of Dr. Davidson and both Jaima and Jessie as they have been professional, caring, compassionate and helped me through this process. I appreciate it. Our dog was taken in due to difficulty getting up. Should have known that before care was done we were presented with a treatment plan. Beware!!! For us whatever the high estimate was it miraculously became to the penny is what we paid!! We were under the impression we would be called for any care not covered under the original low estimate. More than 2k later we were informed we were wrong and they did not need to call us when almost 3 k was spent on neuro consults. Extensive X-rays and tests. $100 for a pain injection and the same ridiculous amount to do a blood pressure with a Doppler. Disgraceful. The dog went home on tons of meds and without a real diagnosis. He was fine once we stopped all the sedatives. Please beware of this vet. The team is very nice but the business practices are not. I'd check some other vets before going here. 4 k in the end for some IV fluid, meds and observation and a ton of lab work and consults that gave us nothing. We are grateful for the care but truly disgusted at the cost and at the lack of transparency in the care plan - totally unethical. read more

I met with two other neurologists before my consult with Dr. Levitin- one at Garden State in Tinton Falls who doesn't follow up with clients and another at Red Bank who won't give you any information until you drop thousands on diagnostic tests. Dr. Levitin took the time to explain everything to me about my dog's seizures and offered clear and logical next steps. He didn't push unnecessary tests. He was calm, professional and knowledgeable. I had heard excellent things about him, and he did not disappoint. After the visit, he wrote up the most detailed report I have ever read. His support staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Look no further than Eclipse and Dr. Levitin if you need a neurologist. Extremely caring and compassionate staff. Having to euthanize a family pet is never an easy. I took my 14 year old cat in yesterday. He had stopped eating and drinking. The prognosis was not good and they believed he would not last more than a few days. They did not try to "sell" extreme treatment options or offer false hope. Compassion from Dr. Flores and your ridiculous prices! I had to bring Riley in in the middle of the night two weeks after my original appointment. He had a cluster of seizures and we drove an hour to bring him into the hospital. The overnight vet was lovely and they did care for him well. However, we couldn't leave until we put out close to $4000 to treat Riley. This was after we had our first visit two weeks prior and spent $1100. During the first visit I asked if they could please trim his nails and they begrudgingly did so. Then I asked Dr Flores if she minded checking his ears as he was shaking his head a lot. I just returned from Eclipse. My Yorkie started with a horrible cough in the middle of the night. Having just moved here from AZ to NJ, didn't know of a 24 hour emergency vet, googled and found Eclipse and am so glad I did. From the moment I called and spoke to Richard, who was very helpful, to the girls at the desk and eventually to the doctor, everyone was extremely nice and patient. No expensive X-rays were pushed as the doctor didn't think it was necessary. I can't say enough about Eclipse, everyone so helpful and patient, especially coming in at 2:30 a.m. Great place with compassionate workers, wouldn't hesitate to go there again, but hopefully will not need to! Sent home with. meds and the one girl was nice enough to give my dog her first dose. Definitely 5 stars all around, thank you so much! read more

Phenomenal care, my small chi was sick late at night the office experience from entering was great, inside I was so nervous but they were warm & knew how to handle this type of client this is very important to me.Ginger was checked her vitals were ok so I decided to leave & wait for her fluid treatment at my personal vet next day (bad move on my part) Crystal who came out to talk to me was amazing I got home and right away needed to call them Crystal got on the phone eased my nerves! I had to return the next day after being treated poorly elsewhere they took us right away, from the phone call, to the front desk, to the nurse who entered to the ER doctor (Ginger had to have an ultrasound ) to check out everyone was fantastic! My poor girl suffered for hours until we got there o knew I now was in the right place. We will be returning to see internal medicine. I also feel they were reasonably priced, my vet was going to charge me just as much or MORE for the ultrasound. Thank you everyone, we will use you again and again! read more

They are outrageously expensive. I waited over an hour for a urinalysis. My dog has TCC and I took him for recurrent hematuria to rule out a concomitant urinary tract infection and anemia. They spent less than 20 minutes in the back room and would not let me go with them. They came out and told me the culture will not be back for a few days. I requested antibiotics for prophylactic reasons. They did not offer another explanation for the gross hematuria. No blood was drawn. My bill was $675! The antibiotics are $27 on the Internet. They are corporate owned. Very dishonest. read more

Then they told me I had to put my baby to sleep ! 1 week later they left me a voice mail " Leos body is in the freezer and we need to collect more money " !!!!! I want to give them 5 stars but was actually considering 3 stars. Brought my sick dog in and the first person I saw was a nurse and liked her a lot, but then in came the ER doctor. She wasn't very nice. Wouldn't really listen to us & was very a matter of fact. The internist we spoke to the next day was completely opposite and very helpful, listened to us and was a really nice guy. He saved the 3 star review. That same day, went to go pick my dog back up and the only issue was that on the discharge papers, there was nothing about what meds they had already given her so when I got home, had to call them to find out. We were told to continue a medication that she already should have been given earlier, at least half the dose, with the next given in the evening. read more

This facility is beyond amazing. My dog Kriss had a urinary obstruction . I was referred by Blue Pearl in Paramus. From the front desk to the surgeon Dr Kelly Kraus I was a ease. I live 40 minutes away and was kept kept up to date on his care. His bladder was full of stones all removed . He has dissolving stitches . I picked him up the following day after speaking to the surgeon . I was given all his medication and detailed report of his surgery as well as follow up care. Misdiagnosed my son's cat and cost us a good amount of money. I followed up with our regular vet and he came up the the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. Cat is doing well now. This review reflects our first experience with Eclipse Emergency Pet Care in Whippany, NJ. Our 8 YO Lab experienced a torn ACL which required immediate attention in order to avoid further injuries to her legs. Our local VET recommended Eclipse knowing that this type of injury would require a specialist who is Board Certified in canine orthopedic surgery. Within days, I was given an appointment to meet Dr. Jon Miller, chief surgeon at Eclipse. Our Lab was examined and the torn ACL was confirmed. Models of a canine's rear leg was shown to us at which time Dr. reviewed the mechanics of how the torn ACL would be repaired. Dr. Miller was very transparent with his outline and experience and made it clear that he has performed many successful identical surgeries. With a surgical date in hand, we were then given a hard copy of the estimated costs, in detail, to perform a TTA type procedure. Being a senior citizen, combined with my military veteran status, helped with the cost. We then left with our Lab knowing that she would be in good hands. Several days later, we left our home for the drive, again, into the Whippany Pet Care clinic. Although it was emotional leaving our dog with the clinic, staff were understanding and made us feel comfortable with our decision. It should be pointed out that Dr. Miller called us several times with updates. Once when the surgery was successfully completed and, then twice to provide us with updates on her condition, all of which carried good news. The procedure went as expected and now the recovery, rehab, and healing period would begin. Upon discharge, one of the nurses met with us and our dog and proceeded to outline, in significant detail, all of the post-op care we needed to give her at home. Meds were discussed as well. Questions were answered much to our satisfaction. Although much joy was experienced, we knew we would have to work hard to continue with home care. Our Lab was very happy to reunite with us and demonstrated a lot of tail wagging and licks. Note that this practice has only been in operation since May of this year. There are minor kinks that still need to be worked out by administration and staff and those improvements are already visible. House keeping is immaculate throughout and many pet parents were seen bringing in their charges throughout the day for care. Overall, our Lab received the best care from Dr. Miller and we recommend Eclipse Specialty and Emergency Care to any pet parent whose fur baby is in need of medical attention. read more
