North jersey came through with availability and affordability. They were amazing! So kind and extremely thorough. Our dog Cooper had an abrasion on his eye an would have gotten worse if we couldn't have had him seen. His eye is so much better and loved that I got a call to see how he was doing. Very professional. I highly recommend north jersey animal hospital. They are our new vet. On 9/18/2017 I had both of my dogs to see Dr. Gaby for diarrhea and both had stopped eating after having these symptoms for 5 days. I was giving them Imodium for symptoms but not effective. She was very thorough and showed empathy for them both. My 12 year old dachshund was dehydrated and received an injection and my 17 year old dachshund was not. Both received a prescription and diet of rice and boiled chicken. For two dogs my bill was not even $300 so I find fees extremely affordable and fair. After twelve hours both were doing much better. I received a follow up call from Dr. Gaby today 9/19/2017 to inquire how my dogs were and I find her to be very professional and again I recommend this practice.

Never had an issue until I brought my one cat to be treated for an ear infection. Dr. K prescribed an ear cleaning solution and antibiotic ointment to put in the ear. After weeks of following the Drs instructions, my cat's ear started bleeding. I called the vet to tell them this and asked if I could bring him in. They refused to take him and told me to email pictures, after which they told me to continue with the antibiotic ointment. The bleeding did appear to clear up a little, but then I started to see my cats third eyelid. I questioned the vet, which he said this was not related to the inner ear infection and was a symptom of his feline herpes virus flare, and I should continue administering antibiotic ointment in the ear. My cat was treated for feline herpes virus before I got him. He would have occasional flares when stressed, but I never saw his third eyelid come down during one of his flares, so this seemed odd to me. But I trusted Dr. K for 14 years, so I followed his instructions. A few weeks later, my cat started experiencing neurological symptoms - head tilt, walking off balance/stumbling, tremors. Brought him back to the vet, turns out his ear infection had turned into a severe inner ear infection, ruptured his ear drum, and potentially spread to his brain. Dr. K prescribed oral antibiotics, and told us to "check in with him in a few days". I decided to take my cat to a different vet for a second opinion. The new vet said it was the worst ear infection she had ever seen, and was baffled that Dr K 1) did not initially take ear cultures to determine what bacteria was present in the ear and 2) did not prescribe oral antibiotics for that particular bacteria. She also stated that antibiotic ointment in the ear is a rather "antiquated" form of treatment, and usually ends up making things worse. Long story short, the new vet did everything she could to fight this ear infection for a little over a month, but unfortunately nothing was working. Due to the severe infection, his herpes virus began the severely flare and his symptoms started taking over and shutting down his body. My poor little guy was experiencing so much pain and suffering that we ended up putting him down in the beginning of April. This was something that could've been totally avoidable if Dr K had recommended a different form of treatment. I trusted Dr K & Pequannock Animal Hospital for 14 years, but after this experience, I will be finding a new vet to take my other cat to. I hope this reaches as many pet parents as possible and hopefully will prevent anyone else from experiencing the pain and suffering both my fur baby and myself experienced

After being prescribed a medication here, our dog developed severe health issues shortly afterward, including major weight loss and a complete change in her quality of life. We are now dealing with a chronic condition that requires insulin injections, constant monitoring, and sleepless nights because she wakes up crying from hunger. Watching her suffer has been heartbreaking for our family. While every pet is different, and complications can happen, I wish we had been warned more clearly about possible risks and side effects. The entire experience has left us devastated and feeling unsupported. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this facility ask very detailed questions, seek second opinions, and make sure you fully understand all medication risks before agreeing to treatment.

Well, when I got there, it was a whole different story. They told me the remaining balance is around $175. That's not what we discussed when we were there the first time. Then they said we only paid $300 and something the first time which is not true I have the bank statement. The girls up front said they didn't say that but they truly did. They Should know how to do there job. We discussed the payments for literally 20 minutes . To top it all they gave me my kitten with the stitches out he has blood all over his high end and no cone. Trying to cover up what they told us. Initially told me it was 520 for a neuter. It's not about the money it's the principal.
