Hard to find, but worth it. Hints: use the street marked "Ramon Rd Frontage Road " (your GPS may not be able to distinguish it from Ramon Rd.). Building has no name on it, and salon doesn't seem to be listed in building directory. Enter from the front of the building (street-side) and you'll find Eclipse on your left, just inside the atrium. I just had the most amazing hair appointment with Darrin! He worked his magic on me and made my hair look absolutely stunning! The color, cut and Brazilian Blowout is just what I needed after making a big move to the beautiful Coachella Valley. 5 stars is not nearly enough to thank Darrin for all he did for me. The salon is beautiful and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you, Darrin and Eclipse Hair Studio. read more

Andrew Velberg is truly the best stylist from haircuts to color! I lived in Palm Springs for 8 years and now I drive from Buckeye, AZ to Palm Springs, CA to have him cut my hair. The 3 1/2 hour drive is worth the experience! read more

Scott does a wonderful job with my highlights and extensions. I have been going to him for 10 years

Book with Darrin! I started getting my hair done by Darrin about 2 years ago and I am never going anywhere else. I used to be the type of person that always wanted single length long hair, but when I was finally ready to try a new look I was nervous. A few people I knew highly recommended Darrin as he listens to watch you want, can offer suggestions, and he really knows what he's doing! He works very well, while carrying a great conversation with you if you're interested. I get my next haircut tomorrow and I am super excited about it. He never disappoints and I always leave feeling amazing after my fantastic hair appointment with Darrin! read more

When I moved to Palm Springs from San Francisco the first thing I had to do was find a new Hair Salon and boy did I luck out!! Andrew Velberg has been cutting hair now for a while and I couldn't be more pleased with his work. He is a very talented stylist and take such good care of you, like as if you're his only client. The salon is clean and modern, everyone is very friendly and there's ample parking so it couldn't be any more convenient. I don't often write reviews but I feel this gem of a salon is too good not to. So if you're looking for new stylist I would highly recommend calling Eclipse and asking for Andrew! read more

Darrin is fabulous! He not only listens to his clients, but he does exactly what we ask for- and my hair is gorgeous. He's easy to chat with and fast - for a cut and color (tons of foil) I was out in just under two hours (I've been to places that loligag for up to five hours and it drives me nuts). Bring a few photos and talk about what you want and wha la! He is an artist. read more

Scott did my Brazilian Blowout and I am very happy with how it turned out. I just moved to Palm Springs from OC and was looking for somebody as good as my stylist back in OC (who has been doing my Brazilians for 9 years) I am mixed with black and white so the texture of my hair can be different to work with, but Scott did not disappoint. I will definitely be back. read more

Andrew has been my hairdresser for over 20 years. I trust him, and only him to do what he thinks is best for my hair. Throughout the years, for various reasons, I've been unable to go to him, and regretted how my hair turned out. Due to health reasons about 15 years ago I was no longer capable of washing my own hair, especially if I wanted to keep it long. Ever since then I began seeing Andrew every week to get my hair washed and colored/cut if needed. My hair is very unmanageable thick & course. No, I mean REALLY thick and REALLY course. Throughout the years Andrew has always used the latest state-of-the-art smoothing treatments on my hair to make it more manageable. As I mentioned, I trust him to do whatever he feels is right for my hair. All my life my hair was my achilles heel, now it's what I'm proud of. I ALWAYS get compliments, everyone (friends, family and often strangers in stores) want to touch my hair, and tell me how beautiful the color and cut are, and how glossy it is. Sometimes it's embarrassing because I don't handle kudos very well. I love Andrew, and am happy for him about his new venture to Palm Springs, and for all of you who will benefit from his expertise. I however am very sad that I will be losing the most talented hairdresser on this planet. Thank you. read more

Absolutely love Eclipse Hair Studio. Scott and his team are hands down the most incredibly talented individuals out there. I've been a client of Scott's for the last 6+ years and have never once walked away without loving my cut and style or the great experience and conversation during our time. I can't even count the number of friends and colleagues that see Scott and Tracey on standing appointments as they are just that amazing. On top of an incredible cut and style, they also do color, extensions, makeup, products and style consultation to ensure you are getting exactly what you will love. Call them, go there - heck run there... You won't be disappointed in any way. You will love them!!!! read more

I found Eclipse Hair Studio by checking Yelp after moving to the Palm Springs area. I took a shot and hoped for the best. What I received at my first visit was, quite possibly, the best haircut that I have ever had. Andrew Velberg is a master stylist. I could not be happier. Highly recommend Andrew and Eclipse. read more

This was by far, one of the best experiences I have had in a salon. I was in desperate need of a color and cut, and the hairdresser (Scott) listened, and did exactly what I asked. This is the BEST my hair had looked in 25 years. read more

I LOVE this salon! Each time I go, I always feel so relaxed and calm. Andrew is my stylist, never has my hair looked, or felt better; he is the quintessential professional stylist that listens to your needs and delivers! Scott and I have been in a hair relationship since 2012. Words cannot express the amazing that he is. Not a day goes by that I don't get stopped by strangers asking if I have extensions, a wig, etc... They actually pull my hair just to see. When they ask what I do, my reply is always "I don't do anything. Scott at Eclipse is in charge of all this. All credit goes to him." All of my friends and family are now loyal Scott clients. My mother even comes all the way from Oregon to have him color and cut her hair. The salon is beautiful and extremely private. You aren't sitting in a chair with hoards of other people getting their hair done. It is an intimate setting that sets the stage perfectly for a relaxing hairapy session. I've never felt more beautiful than leaving Eclipse Hair Studio. read more

I love this place. I drive from Huntington Beach to have Scott do my hair. Great new location.

I have been a client of Andrew Velberg's for more than 20 years. Andrew always has my best interests in mind when he does my hair. He actively listens to my wants and needs and provides me his professional opinions so that I'm making informed decisions. Throughout the years, the texture and color of my hair has changed and he always has had a solution so I'm looking and feeling my best. Over the years, my two daughters became clients as well. He really understands teenage girls and has made their hair look amazing. I highly recommend Andrew as a stylist! read more

As a snowbird, I found it difficult to find a salon that took me as a person and what I want into consideration. Scott does exactly that. My hair looked fabulous. Drew is my hair stylist and I can't recommend him highly enough. Great person and great cut every time.

When my beloved hairdresser of 20 years retired, I was devastated - until I was referred to Andrew! The person who referred me has hair very different from mine, but I could tell from her cut that whoever did her hair knew what they were doing. I was right. Andrew understands what different types of hair need. His cuts make my hair look and feel amazing and he is a true colorist, as well. If you are considering a new stylist, go to Andrew - you will be so happy to have him cut, color and style your hair. Andrew and I developed a great relationship - he is easy to talk to and fun to be around. His positivity personality is one of his many strengths. And while he always asks me what I want done to my hair, I always let him do his thing because he knows how to make me look great. Go to Andrew, relax, and enjoy your new haircut! read more

I contacted the salon through email as I live in a different country, but was going to be visiting the Palm Springs area. Scott went out of his way to get me an appointment (even though he was on vacation!!!) and made it so easy. It was great that i could text him to confirm, and from the moment I arrived, I felt so great. Scott is amazing, I love him and my hair is perfect. I would recommend this salon to anyone coming to the Palm Springs area, and I can't wait until my next visit. Thanks again so much!!! read more
