I'm not one to give a bad review but I got to let it be known. I've had my hair styled about 5…read moretimes. Once I got a relaxer (perm) and she burned my entire neck. So I stop letting her perm my hair and would just go for a wash and style because she does do good enough work, could be better but it's ok work. She over charges for her work and have a very nasty attitude. I called to cancel an appointment about 8 hours before time and she was mad and trying to force me to come by telling me she had no openings for the following day I was trying to reschedule. Now mind you I've never canceled an appointment before. So then we come to an agreement an she goes to tell me that I need to cash app her a deposit, something I've never had to do before. I'm old school I don't do cash app. I told her I would meet her to pay her and she was too busy to meet me. Then had the audacity to tell me that if I didn't make the appointment she could no longer do my hair. Overall her work is ok but attitude and professionalism is very poor and needs a lot of working on. I wouldn't dare recommend her to anyone I know or didn't know. I hope this helps someone out because if your looking for a nice attitude along with professionalism this is not the place to go.

I eventually decided to try Regis Salons and Super Cuts, assuming I'd at least find someone that would do a good job washing and blow drying my hair. However, even with a simple wash and blow dry, using the wrong product can ruin hair causing it to be dry, brittle, or weighed down from the use of too much product. Earlier this week, after a Google search, I found the website for Natural Opulence Salon. After reading the services offered (which stems from a natural approach using organic products that are free of agents that cause harm and damage to the skin/scalp/hair), I decided to schedule an appointment for the stimulate & rejuvenate detox shampoo and steam conditioning treatment. After reading what was included with this treatment I thought this was the perfect option for me as my goal for this appointment was not focused on getting my hair styled but more on a conditioning treatment. Let me just add, almost every salon will offer what they call 'deep conditioner.' I've paid for that service on numerous occasion only to leave feeling like nothing was accomplished. My appointment here with Rochelle was exactly what I had hoped for and more! I loved the organic peppermint detox shampoo and all products used! Rochelle took her time while washing (which I always appreciate) and walked me through each step as she applied various products (telling me what she was using and why). Immediately after my shampoo, she applied conditioner and I sat under the dryer for the steam conditioning treatment. Rochelle blow dried my hair after the wash/conditioning treatment and I could immediately feel the difference. The weight of my hair was light and it felt clean. My scalp felt nourished and I loved the feel of my hair, not to mention the glossy shine. I finally feel like I've found a place that specializes in caring for natural hair. Rochelle is excellent at what she does and really cares about not just pleasing her clients but ensuring that the services she offers leads toward a healthier hair outcome. I felt like she cared as much about my hair as I do... and I care a great deal about my hair and its overall health. We laughed about my shrinkage as she patiently combed through and blow dried my hair. My hair is long and I appreciated Rochelle's level of patience. What I also like is her schedule for appointments. When you're there, the time is reserved for you only so there's never a feeling of being rushed. The customer service is at an all time high. I highly recommend Rochelle to anyone seeking someone who's passionate about the work that they do, specializes in taking care of natural hair, values time, and seeks to understand the hair needs and goals of each client. At Opulence Hair Salon, your hair will be in good hands! Can't wait to visit again! So grateful I found this jewel of a salon and owner/master stylist Rochelle! She rocks!
