The tech they sent spent an hour looking around, trying to find the problem. He said he couldn't solve it but we still got charged $411. He said he would have to send someone else. Any estimate for the job? No - he couldn't even make an estimate. When I called Adam, he said they would send a more experienced tech. Why not send someone qualified the first time? What about the charge for showing up and not doing anything? "That's our normal fee?" So, will we be charged for a new estimate? "It's still $250 to show up." Really? I told him we didn't want them anymore and we would like at least a partial refund. He agreed to a refund of $125, but the refund didn't come. I called again and he said they had a miscommunication. Now it would be sent. Still no refund ... We found a new person, a handyman - he said it was challenging, but he found the broken connection and he only charged us $250. Mirsky? Never again ...

Another update: I called Exact Electric to install electrical grounding after the system was disconnected when plumbers replaced old pipes. I quickly received a call from Manager Eric who came over to plan for the job and explain what needed to be done. He didn't charge me anything for the inspection. Within a week, Tom, a top-notch Journeyman, came out to resplice the GEC system insuring complete grounding of our electricity circuits.
