Based on these representations, I left the facility with the understanding that my financial responsibility had been fully satisfied. Approximately one month later, I received an unexpected bill in the mail stating that my insurance had not covered the full amount of the services rendered. I immediately contacted the medical center for clarification and was informed that the charges were not fully covered by my insurance after all. Had I been properly informed beforehand that the services would not be covered as represented, I would have had the opportunity to make an informed financial decision regarding the appointment and treatment. Instead, I relied on the information provided by the medical center and proceeded under the reasonable belief that the visit was covered except for my co-payment. As a result of the inaccurate information and representations made by the facility, I am now facing an unexpected financial obligation that I did not knowingly agree to incur.
