I am beyond furious writing this…read more I had been using this pharmacy without issue and trusted them until a serious discrepancy occurred involving the dosage of a controlled medication I'm prescribed in multiple strengths. I picked up what was labeled as one milligram strength. Later, I was told their system reflected an entirely different dosage. Because I take different strengths depending on the time of day, I always check both the label on the bottle and the pill itself before taking it. Despite that, I was denied a refill and told I had already received medication in a strength I was NOT given. Instead of taking this seriously and working through the discrepancy professionally, I was met with defensiveness and treated like I was the problem. I was told they reviewed footage, held internal meetings, and ultimately decided not to correct anything but to stop filling my prescriptions altogether. My doctor was contacted and I was dismissed as a patient. Thankfully, my physician knows me well enough to know this is absolute bullshit. This has completely disrupted my medication schedule and forced me to call literally dozens of pharmacies trying to fix something that was THEIR fault. When you are dealing with controlled medications, accuracy and accountability are not optional. If there is even a question about documentation, it should be handled with transparency and professionalism, not by pushing a patient out and jeopardizing their continuity of care. There were also prior instances of visibly unprofessional behavior at the counter, including obvious frustration and dramatics in front of waiting patients. I ignored it at the time. In hindsight, it feels relevant. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Florida Board of Pharmacy. If you rely on this pharmacy for critical medications, verify everything. I will never discard an empty prescription bottle again, and I will document every fill moving forward. I have never experienced anything like this in 15 years of managing my medications. I received both a text from Sun Express Pharmacy (which is neither my usual pharmacy nor anywhere near our home), and a call from Luis from Sun Express the very next day (!!) that my meds were ready, with a co-pay of "x" dollars due (as my two health insurances wouldn't cover "combo" drops). When asked, Luis suggested I call my doc to see if he would split the combo, and that maybe then the cost would be covered by insurance. My doc did call in a new script - and again I received both a text notification AND Luis called me back that the split script was ready, but that splitting out the drops actually totaled more than the combo drops! Of course I opted to revert to the combo drops - which were delivered the very next day! Bonus: FREE DELIVERY! Bravo to SunCoast for their customer service and working with me for the best result. They did not have it in stock but gladly ordered it for me and it was in within 48 hours. The store is small but has plenty of items that you need. I was even able to get surgical gloves that we needed to treat an infection with in the middle of the pandemic. Even though it's a small shop they do not inflate their prices. I found everything to be extremely reasonable and they take major insurances. I am going to switch my prescriptions over to this pharmacy!

Don't go to this Dr unless you have days and days of free time to deal with the rude incompetent…read moreoffice staff. The Dr. btw was pleasant. I went one time. This was the result. - Waited 3 days and my prescription was not called into the Pharmacy when they said it was. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, even though the pharmacy insist they never got it. - Ask them to prescribe an alternative medication. Said they would get back to us, after waiting 3 days, called their office and they said they call my cell phone and got no answer (no message was left). They explained the alternative and asked if we want them to go ahead and call it into the Pharmacy. We said yes. Kept checking with the pharmacy, nothing after 3 days. Pharmacy said they had gotten nothing. Called the office, they were now on vacation for a week, so had to wait a week. Called them as soon as they got back. They said they were waiting for our OK to call it into the Pharmacy, which we had already provided on the previous call. Person was uppity and defensive when told that, said it was not her that we talked to. Then we asked them to prescribe something else as the prescription was $1k. They offered to send to an alternative mail order pharmacy instead and we told them to go ahead and do that. A week later no mail with the prescription from the new alternative pharmacy. Called the pharmacy, they did not have it. We called the office, and guess what, they claimed they were still wait for us to OK it. - Finally, I have follow-up appointment. They called me the week prior to change the time to 15 minutes later. When I got the confirmation, not only has the time changed, but now I have a different Dr., which they never mentioned, and I have never heard of him. OK, will live with it. I had to reschedule (which turned out to be a blessing). I called the number on the website and I had previously used to schedule my original appointment. Was told the Dr I had the original appointment with, and this new Dr, they could not rescheduled the appointment via the number I was calling and was given another number. Confused, I went to the web site, only to see my original Dr is listed at the number I had called and the "new" Dr is no where to be found. So, I called back explained the confusion and asked what was the location of this number? Indeed, it is the office I visited in Sarasoto. I explained what had happened and said I had an appointment at the Sarasota office. I was told, in a "are you stupid, we already told you" tone that the original Dr had actually moved to another office and was not working from this Satasota office any more. Really, at what point did you say that? Perhaps, "sorry your Dr is now practicing from a different location" would have help the 1st time I called. Total attitude. Oh and btw, why would you change me to a Dr. who is in Osprey apparently, without even telling me, when I have been seen in the Sarasota office? I am glad I cancelled the appointment, as I had no idea they moved it to Osprey, and was never asked if that was convenient for me, which it is not. When I told her it would have been clearer if she had said that in the first place, she hung up on me without asking if they could do anything to help. - Completely incompetent and rude office staff. It was more than I expected. Apparently these are new owners. Dr Danielle is amazing. I've had a lot of chiropractic care. I used to belong to a chiropractic "club "where I could get nearly unlimited adjustments, so I am not new to the experience. But this was different. He took the time to LISTEN and actually try to solve for the problem. I was in the area for a vacation, my only regret is that I can't come back regularly. I've been a nurse for over 20 years, a long with that career comes a plethora of somatic complaints.... low back pain, foot pain, and a just general discomfort and low energy from a live well lived. Dr. Danielle recommended I see Daphna his nurse practitioner. Not going to lie, at first I thought, maybe he was trying to upsell me some services, but after speaking with her I ended up opting for some additional services. I suggest looking into stem cell treatment for chronic pain management. I'm not trying to end up in a nurse Jackie situation, (IYKYK) but living with chronic pain is at times unbearable. It's great that there is a practice out here offering non-narcotic options that provide real relief. While I was here, I also spoke with them about my low energy levels and some general issues I was having. Daphna gave me a B12 injection that left me feeling like I haven't spent a lifetime on night shift. I'm not sure where all of the negative reviews are coming from, but I highly doubt they are a result of anything going on in the office currently. This office is clean, courteous, professional, and offering cutting edge services that aren't available at this price point anywhere else in the area 10/10 recommend going in for a consultation and leaving feeling like a million bucks without dropping a whole bag.
