As a mother of two toddlers the level of fear and anxiety during those moments is something I don't wish on anyone. Yes they did an amazing job but they went ABOVE the call of duty. Their response time was something I've never seen before. Their decision making and their urgency to make sure my son ok was so comforting during a time where I couldn't control my fear and worry. Not only did they airlift my two year old to the nearest children's trauma center but Chief Mike knew how scared I was so he made it a point to call me as I drove to the hospital. He updated me on Nathan's condition and calmed me down so that I could drive carefully make it to the hospital safely. (Btw. I made the decision to drive, they didn't recommend it) Here is the part that literally melted my heart... the day after the incident Chief Mike reached out to ask how my son was doing!!!!! Something he did NOT have to do. I can't express how thankful I am to be in this city where we have the BEST FIRE TEAM! I felt like they treated my son like family more than just a patient. And Kudos on how you fellas dealt with the frantic mom too :) Thank you Thank you. Thank you a million times!

They didn't have to take the time to help me but they did.
