We found CR Plumbing & Drains on Yelp after looking for a second opinion on a kitchen plumbing…read moreproblem we've been dealing with for years. I'm so glad we called Carlos. What stood out immediately was that Carlos actually listened. We spoke with another plumber who seemed determined to tell us what the problem was before even looking at it and dismissed what we were trying to explain. Carlos was completely different. He came out that evening, looked at everything at no charge, listened to the history of the problem, and gave us his initial thoughts. Instead of rushing to give us an estimate, he recommended doing a camera inspection so he could see how the downstairs plumbing was laid out and determine the best way to permanently fix the issue. After the inspection, he provided us with the video and put together a detailed proposal. He even called the sump pump manufacturer to make sure he was recommending the right pump for our particular situation. We had another quote for the same basic solution, but Carlos's proposal was more detailed, more affordable, and required less invasive work. That was extremely important to us. We specifically told him we didn't want our walls and cabinets torn apart if it could be avoided, and we also wanted the finished work to look clean and professional. Carlos and his helper worked through a very hot Friday installing the system outside our kitchen. They carefully pulled back our artificial turf, excavated the area, installed the pump and piping, and then Carlos returned Saturday to finish everything and put the area back together. He took the extra time to make the finished installation look good instead of treating appearance as an afterthought. We did have a small leak when we ran the dishwasher afterward. This is actually one of the reasons I'm giving Carlos five stars. Even though it was Saturday and he had other jobs, he came back as soon as he could, figured out what had happened, fixed it, and stayed while we tested the dishwasher again. He took responsibility for it and did not charge us for coming back. That says a lot about someone's character and how they run their business. I don't expect every job to go perfectly--I expect someone to stand behind their work when something does go wrong. Carlos did exactly that. He was knowledgeable, responsive, reasonably priced, respectful of our home, and genuinely seemed to care about finding the right solution instead of just selling us something. After years of dealing with this problem, it's a relief to finally have it addressed. We would absolutely call CR Plumbing & Drains again and highly recommend Carlos.
