Store layout has adults and teens in the entrance inside the mall while on the back and side onto MacLeod trail is where the babies and toddlers clothes are. Style has really improved over the years but the pricing seems to be on high end as clothing quality is on par with H &M but can't match price. It's gigantic, it's huge and yes, it's overwhelming. I was ready to drop a couple bills last night when I walked in, but believe it or not, I ended up leaving without having dropped a single cent. Why you ask? Because nobody helped me. I walked around the store for about 20 minutes, searching desperately for someone to help me find the right size in something I had managed to find all on my own in this mammoth of a store, but no one came to my rescue. As someone who has worked in customer service for a very long time, I guess I've come to expect a certain level of warmth and hospitality, whether it be food service, retail or professional. She asked me what I was shopping for and I said jeans. She immediately walked over to a nearby rack and started pulling pairs of jeans off and loading me up. I had about six pairs in my arms when she started to lead me to the changing area. It was then that I noticed the price tag on the top pair...$235!!!! She had loaded me up with designer maternity jeans! I stopped in my tracks and said "whoa this is way too much! I wouldn't pay this much for a regular pair of jeans, much less ones I will only be wearing for a couple months!" At this she seemed somewhat annoyed and took the jeans from me and led me to the other side of the store where the jeans were priced between $40-$80. I thought it was incredibly presumptuous to assume that I could afford or that I would even want a $250 pair of jeans. I guess that once she realized I was a "commoner" she was no longer interested in assisting me. I shopped alone and brought items back and forth from the change area without any further interaction from the associates. I did end up getting a decent pair of jeans for about $50, but I won't be returning. It's incredibly rare that a store would leave such a negative impression on me as I'm pretty easy going and generally very understanding, but this one is now a no go in my books.

I browsed around in here for about 15 minutes before I finally realized everything was out of my budget. I couldn't find one piece of clothing for under $100. Okay, that's a lie. I think there was a hat for around $50. But still. I didn't even find the clothes in this store to be that nice. Everything seemed a little outdated or at least not very modern. To each their own, I suppose. It's been a while since I've been stalked and eye-balled by salespeople when I'm perusing a store, but sure enough, it happened here. One of the ladies followed not two feet behind me the entire time, watching what I was doing, but never offering a hand. I mean, I may not look like I'm 30 years old, but I certainly don't look like a teenager ready to shoplift whatever I can fit into my purse. I was extremely insulted and definitely uncomfortable while shopping here. One cool thing about this place is that they do in-house tailoring to all their clothes. You can't bring something from a different store and have it altered, but they'll change any article of clothes you buy from their store. That sets them apart from most other clothing stores. If you're going to have a look in here, make sure you check out their secret lower level. Okay, it's not really a secret since anyone can go in here, but it's somewhat hidden behind racks of clothes. There's actually a whole separate section to this place that seems like it could be a totally different store. And yes, the aforementioned salesperson followed me down there too. So, to sum up: too expensive, not my style, un-trusting and not very discreet salespeople. Not my forte.

I automatically felt that the kind of clothing carried here was not my style or age group. I browsed the jewellery displays for some earrings, there is a lot of displays around the store, most earrings went for $140. I found some "Hollywood" accessories, like invisible tape, tag tamers and commando liners. All of these went for $20 or so, which is over priced for sure. I looked at the shoes I was interested in initially, but looking at them in person and the price, I wasn't so interested anymore. I browsed around a bit more. I found a great leather belt, for $130, eep. I did find some clothing pieces that were very beautiful, so I will admit that they carry things for women of different ages. This place is expensive, but they have a huge stock of clothing and accessories, all top of the line. It is somewhere to check out if you have money to burn, very quickly.

They've not only got regular sized clothing, but they also carry petite sizing and they are conveniently located in a number of malls throughout the city. The quality of clothes at Ricki's/Cleo is reasonable and the prices are as well. I often stop over when I'm looking for work clothes that wont break the bank. Overall, they've got a great selection, great sizing, great service and great prices. Definitely worthy of a pit-stop in the midst of a shopping spree.

I never felt rushed, I was able to help myself to the change room and I found the store to be clean, organized despite the huge sale and welcoming. Not too busy either. Still 'in' - lots of black and white. A little more mature wear than say, Dynamite. Those days are over for me :) Happily so! Love the motto here "No Sale Is Ever Final". Jeans, purses, shirts,... well, I did say everything didn't I?…read more Her birthday is fast approaching and I was on a mad mission to get her a slew of Guess goods. ASSUMING that there would be a Guess store at Chinook, that's where I headed. Imagine my frustration when I got to Chinook and found out that there is NOT a Guess store there. WHAT?!?!? So in my mind, there were only two Guess stores that I knew of in our city: The one at South Centre Mall, and the one at Cross Iron Mills. Like hell I'm driving all the way to Balzac to go shopping at the Guess. I was super annoyed. That was that. The next weekend, I was wandering around Market Mall and there she stood...in all her beauty. That's right: a Guess store....and in N.W. Calgary...REALLY?!?!?! YES. I think I actually did a little jig in the middle of the mall - don't judge. I was at T-9 days for the sister's b day and I needed 8 of those 9 days to ensure she gets it on time in the mail. This Guess store had a tonne of things that I know my sis will love, and have I mentioned how much I love the location yet??? Yeah, you're right... I'm bustin' out the jig again.

I had planned on buying a top, but my wifey told me they have the most amazing skinny jeans, and there was a pair of super cool black and white ones. And let me tell you, they are AH-MAH-ZING!!! They're $130, which isn't too bad, but for a funky pair par you can't always wear...meh. They're awesome, so it's ok. Lots of selection, great pieces and colors and friendly staff.
