First off, the salon didn't even have my appointment on their scheduled. Not only did I book online but I CALLED TO CONFIRM. Then when I show up they don't have me on the books and ask me if I got my days mixed up... good thing I had the confirmation email saved in my phone. I assume my stylist was double booked because she called me by a different name and kind of rushed through my appointment. Online it said my session would be an hour but I was in and out within 30 minutes, 10 of that was trying to find my reservation. Now for the hair... it's alright. She did a good job at cutting the dead ends off but she took more than I asked for off. At first I showed her a length of 3 inches and then we discussed cutting between 4-5, turns out she cut 5.5 off. Okay. But then she also gave me bangs??? I asked for face framing pieces but what I got were long, choppy curtain bangs that I'm not particularly a fan of. To top it off, she put around 1/4 cup of product in my hair. That would have been fine if they did what they were supposed to but instead I left with half-wet, gelled hair. For lack of a better description it felt like a cross between steel wool and pubes. Do stylists normally leave hair partially wet? She said this was to prevent it from frizzing up... maybe she had good intentions or maybe she was just rushing because she was double booked. Either way, it was far from what I asked for/ imagined. Overall the salon was clean, my hairdresser was nice, but I will not be coming back. Maybe this is a salon for a different clientele than me (29F, white, long (now short) brown hair) because my sister-in-law loves it. I would just encourage all new customers to do their research before going.

I'd voice my concern over concern such as hair texture as they claim I did not pick the texture which I did. Remind, you my Consultation was a month ago so I ask several times to send me the textures via text. She repeatedly ignore my questions and kept asking for a color. To me it doesn't make sense to talk about hair color if the salon doesn't have texture length ect down. I voice the concern of the hair being able to straighten as I do get silk presses. It seem like every question I ask she was getting irritated and never gave me a straight answer. I called spoke to her, ask if they could please send photo or explain the difference with the blow outs. Then again she was rude and told me I had til tomorrow to figure it out or they move appt. She eventually did send pictures but by that time, i was on the phone with her again explaining my concerns. She also sent a text asking for more money. At consultation I paid deposit a less then 300, which is what erica told me i only needed to pay until day of appointment services. Why am i being ask to pay more money ? That seemed odd, and apparently seem a little fishy as the salon hasnt answer my concern but steady asking for more money. Very unprofessional. Now, total services were close to $1,000. This isn't a light decision to make as I wanted a versatile texture but also something that matches my hair style in it natural state. She told me to just at the different stylist Instagram to figure it out. I sent her a pic and ask what texture was in pic. I got a text saying we don't feel comfortable doing your hair. Although they claim they will issue a full refund on the deposit, which I have not received yet. I now have to find a new salon, which is frustrating. I called Brittany back and spoke to her again about my concern as I want to make sure we aren't coloring the incorrect texture of hair. I had up to the point a good experience with the owner and erica at my consultation, however Brittany is the manager and she was very rude and cold. I ask to speak to the owner, and she told me the owner and her made the decision not to service me because this salon isn't the best fit for me. There are several issues here as for one, this salon is owned by a black woman. Which is one of the reason i picked. I try to support our local business owners of ethnic backgrounds.However, most of their service needs and clientele are caterer to whites or non blacks. They do have a few black customers, but not many. I felt like because I'm black and I have ethnic hair, which requires more fineness, it seems like she ( Brittany) just didn't want to deal with my hair or texture concerns. I didn't know asking questions would make the manager Brittany very irritated. It also offended me telling me that im not a good fit for their salon. WOW, that speaks volumes.I believe if I would have spoke to asia or my stylist, the communication would have been better. However, if the owner did really feel that way then maybe ethnic or blacks need to go here if they feel we are not a good fit. Will post the texts. Im also posting this on my fb and Instagram so other others can be aware. I hope no one goes through this experience again.

The owner, Trish, is a true professional not only is she well trained but she makes sure her entire staff is trained in all the latest techniques and trends. I trust them with my thick curly hair and have no reservations about sending family and friends with thinner hair, hair with different textures or for corrective color. When they tell me my hair isn't conducive to a particular style or product, I believe them. The best advertisement is my hair looking great. I once was seated next to a client with black hair (box dye), I head the stylist explain the risks of going from an unknown dark dye to a platinum color. Those included unpredictable color variations and that it would take at least three visits to minimize any breakage. Looking at the before and after pics was amazing! Hair care is an art and a science and there is no place I trust more than Tryst and their wonderful staff.

It was not deep tissue or anything, I know I probably need a deep tissue one, but in the meantime I will take anything that helps me relax, I don't relax often. The bed was nice warm, the massage felt nice and long, nothing was rushed. My head and neck were my favorite part. After the massage she flowed nicely into a facial. I was aware my skin is dry (especially in the winter) but I was not aware how dry until that facial. This was an eye-opener for sure. I also did not realize how many black heads I had on my nose. She did what is called an extraction, let me tell you, I was not expecting the pain that is involved in that process. I kind of wish she had done the facial first because the pain of that wiped away any relaxation the massage brought. I would say next time I'll pass on the extractions on my spa day. Next we had lunch in the spa. They brought in panera for us which was great! Then we were brought into the nail salon section. Mani's first. I loved the simple chatting. I honestly think manicures are not worth the money because I always chip mine within the day, I probably should have asked if I could pay to upgrade to the gel stuff for my upcoming holiday party but oh well, this was a gift and my nails do look pretty. I usually keep them long so having them trimmed to be even is hard to get used to. But the highlight of just chatting with the girls in the nail salon. It was so chill and friendly! Everyone was fun. Then I got to go meet Gianni, he is such a rockstar. I love him. He is a cool person, which great style and we just cracked each other up. He styled my hair so great. I shouldn't admit this, but I didnt wash my hair for 2 days so I could continue to wear my hair the cute way he styled it, and it still looked great TWO DAYS LATER!! That is some kind of magic! The person who did my hair did a not so good job. My hair is the darkest of brown. I had my roots done. Told her my hair needs lots of warmth. She came and checked it 3 times. She said it was perfect and the brown was so rich and beautiful. With their lighting, it was hard to see. But she assured me it was perfect. Came home. My roots were like 4x lighter than my natural color. I called immediately. Told them of the situation. I took pics just for my record and to show her. It was all of my roots. I came in a week later (her soonest available), and she redid the roots. Used a darker color. And said it would cost me 15.00-20.00 more. I said, "What?" She didn't do it right the first time. She said I still had to pay for the product.. wth? No choice, I had her do it, I was going to not pay, but I felt I best pay, but I would contact the manager and / or owner. I had a meeting on Monday and needed it done. As I checked out, the receptionist asked if I'd like to add the tip on the card? I said, "No." I asked the receptionist if making the customer pay for the hair dressers mistake is common. She replied, "That's what the manager tells us to do." Their inventory is large. When I visited in August 2024, I purchased an Anti-Itch hair oil plus a short wig that I only ended up wearing once. I had sort of a hair emergency (LOL) and I needed a quick style so that is why I bought the wig. I never wear wigs. The wig was cheap and I only wore it once to attend a function.
