The person on the phone was very pleasant as was Jim. They arrived on time and knocked out the job that included: removal and installation of 3 toilets, 3 vanities and replace a section of pipe that comes out of the wall for the shower head. Their price was also very reasonable for the amount of time they were here (9am - 1 or 2pm) Jim and Matt got the walk-through with who I assumed were Matt's sons being taught the trade. That was cool. My only gripe was that when I innocently asked about them taking away the old vanities, Matt abruptly said, "we're not garbage men." That really threw me off as it was a really rude response to a very innocent question. When I initially called them, I'd mentioned that we would need the old stuff taken away. Somewhere between that initial call and their arrival date, that part was apparently forgotten. After a few minutes to collect my thoughts, I said to Matt, "I never assumed you were garbage men. I've never worked with you before so I don't know how you guys work and what you're willing to do. It was cool afterward. They offered to take the pedestal sink and the toilets with them, then removed the drawers from the other two vanities and left them neatly on the side of the garage. Matt talked me through another minor complication which required me to return one toilet and pick up a replacement while they were still there working. All ended up working out very well though, as I found someone in the region who wanted both of the discarded vanities. read more

They are good and very effective when they are at your home and taking care of business. The major issue here is that they never pick up their phone and after leaving a message, does not call back. If you wanted the business, wouldn't you call back? Oh well, there is always your competitor who will take my money. read more

Came four times before my water heater was repaired and was very nasty. Recommended him to my sister-in-law and he was very nasty to her too. I read more

We called Ebner plumbing when we were getting ready to have our new fridge delivered and the plumbing connecting the water line to the fridge needed to be replaced. He came out to us. Diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem without any problems. We had a good experience and will call again if we have another problem. read more

when the old man was around, they were a helpful and responsive business. now it's the son, and I think he's indifferent. if he says he'll get back to you, don't count on it. he specializes in ghosting customers who try to contact him. read more

The owner is not very sociable, he has the personality of a door nob. I called for service numerous times for a second time when I needed them and they never returned my phone call. Horrible customer service!!! I will never call them again and do not recommend them... read more

The absolute best plumber in the area, hands down: goes above and beyond, utterly professional and extremely competent and experienced! We had a plumbing emergency at 5pm on a Sunday that burst a pipe and flooded our office/through the ceiling of the garage beneath. Jim Ebner not only came out THAT EVENING to zone off the leak and ensure we did not go without heat and water for the night, but returned first thing the next morning and repaired the leak immediately. I cannot possibly say enough good things about this company. I will never go anywhere else for my plumbing/heating needs and neither should you. If it were possible to rate more than 5/5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. Thank you, Ebner Plumbing! read more

I called Ebner Plumbing to replace my water softener. He removed the old one, installed the new one and programmed it. He didn't need the instructions and he was done in no time. He left the work area immaculate. As a property manager you want a professional you don't need to babysit. I recommend Jim Ebner to everyone. read more

Ebner has provided plumbing and gas service to my home, my parents home and my grandparents home for at least 40 years, if not longer. They're awesome. Most recently we had a gas line extended to our kitchen, but they've done everything from installing the water heater, the original gas line to our deck, quotes for bathroom outfitting, washer dryer moves, etc. They're awesome, fair, reliable, reasonable, kind. They're everything that local community support is about and we wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

My toilet water in-take valve was corroded and leaking and Ebner came out the next morning and fixed it quickly for a reasonable price. Job well done! read more

We had an emergency and he responded, identified and completed the repair immediately, and was very fair with his price. I want to personally thank you for your work. read more

I needed to have a new water heater installed. I went to one of the Big Box Stores in the area and looked at what they had to offer price-wise. I wasn't impressed. I had called a local appliance repairman who serviced our dryer last year (I was very happy with his service but he does not do plumbing work) and recommended W&J Ebner. I got a quote over the phone that was less than what the box stores wanted. Two workers showed up the following morning (on time) and had the old water heater out and the new one installed in under 90 minutes! They knew what they were doing and the installation went on without any problems. I was VERY satisfied with the quality of the work done. I do believe it's very important to try to give work to local businesses whenever I can. It's nice to know that I have a local plumber who is fair and reasonable in case I ever need one again. I would certainly call them again if I ever had a plumbing problem and would feel confident I got a fair deal and quality workmanship. Phil G Monroe NY read more

Can't say enough about Jim's professionalism and honesty such a pleasure to deal with

I had my 2nd plumbing emergency of 2018 this morning during a snow storm no heat upstairs. The first was on New Years Day with a frozen pipe. On both times i called and left a message. My calls were returned in 5 minutes and a truck in my driveway in about a half hour. I would highly recommend W&J Ebner to friends. Thanks again read more

I have been using W&J Ebner for years. They are a local plumbing company from days gone by.... honest, hard working, fast and consistently fair with their prices. This is really rare to find when other plumbing companies look at the size of your house or the watch you are wearing to determine how much they should over charge you. They just replaced a well pump and did a great job. I had company at the house and they had the well pump done in a few hours while we were out and fixed the boiler for my hot water supply. read more

He charged me 137 dollars to tell me I had to order the parts. Then he left and my toilets are still not working. I understand that his time is valuable, but 137 dollars to basically do nothing except tell me to order parts is not right. I'm very put of, and I will not use Ebner again. read more

We left a message, and heard back within an hour. It was such a busy time, and yet we were fit in as soon as they could. He was on time, trustworthy and honest. We will certainly call in the future when we need a plumber!! Thank You!!!! read more

It is next to impossible to actually speak to someone. In order to request service or repairs you must leave a message on an answering machine and hope that your message is heard at some point over the course of the day. The owner is rude and uses foul language with no consideration of those surrounding him. We've used him for years and sadly his rude behavior has always been the case. Our heat went out in the middle of a snowstorm a couple of winters ago. Not only was he rude when he took our call but he also was rude in our home rather than just telling us he was not available during the storm to do the job. Just yesterday our heat went out again. Although it is spring, we wanted our furnace repaired because the inside temperature of our home was very uncomfortable and our children had been home from school sick. On the phone my husband was cursed at, told he did not need heat in June, and told to find another plumber. What does he care what time of year it is. I can't imagine how he behaves with new customers if this is how he treats customers who have used him over the years! And it certainly is not the way to ensure return business! So much for staying loyal to a local business!!!! read more

Ebner was hired to install an LP conversion kit in a new LG gas dryer. He worked on trying to open the back panel of the dryer for about 30 minutes. He was unable to open the panel to install the conversion kit. He got extremely frustrated and walked out and told me that I purchased a piece of junk. He happens to be the usher at the mass we attend every Sunday morning. So if he treats parishioners this way, how will he treat you? read more
