Baja California Bicycles came up with great reviews so I gave them a call. They said to bring it on in, and they had many different tune up options to pick from. I arrived to a mom and pop type store that has a little bit of everything. Mountain bike stuff, BMX stuff, Road bike stuff and low rider bike stuff. I looked at all the options for tune ups and picked the most expensive one (which was $140 by the way... and WAY cheaper than the two other stores I had tried getting in to with no luck), thinking that after 1000 miles I probably needed it. I dropped it off on Saturday, and they promised it to me on Monday or Tuesday. I called Monday morning, and they said it would be done by 5 PM. About an hour later, they called me back and said I didn't NEED the $140 tune up. I only needed the $110 tune up. I am unbelievably impressed with the honesty and workmanship of this little bike shop. It would have been so easy for them to charge me the full amount, and I would have happily paid it. When I arrived to pick it up, the guy brought it from the back, and said, "she's good as new". She LOOKS brand new, and tomorrow I will test her out on a thirty mile ride. I will NEVER go anywhere else, and I will tell anyone that will listen about their work ethic and customer service.

I found the bike at Pulse Endurance Bike Shop. I contacted Mike the shop's owner to start the process. I hadn't bought a bike in 16 years. I have an older Pinarello Dogma. Mike was super helpful and super knowledgeable about all the new technology and the things that I've changed. He set up an amazing bike for me. I've been riding the Pinarello for about a month. My Rad bike is only two years old, and it has been out of service since April, waiting for a replacement part. I lost the entire summer because my bike has been sitting unusable for months. A bike is only as good as the customer service and repair support you receive when something goes wrong. What good is owning an electric bike if you can't get the parts needed to keep it running? To make matters worse, Rad has upset many of its repair dealers, and some are reportedly dropping Rad because of the difficulties involved in servicing their bikes. This experience has been incredibly frustrating. A two-year-old bike should not be sitting broken for months while the owner waits for a part. Customer service should mean helping customers get back on the road, not leaving them stranded. My advice to anyone considering a Rad bike: think twice before buying one. Don't just look at the bike itself or the price. Look at the company's customer service, parts availability, and repair support. Based on my experience, I would never buy another Rad bike.

They were very accommodating from the moment I arrived. They have an awesome stock too. Their prices are really fair and they DONT CHARGE A BUILD FEE, unlike some other shops around. We went to look at the Aventon Level 4, and wanted the black one which wasn't built yet. Got to test drive the step through and realized it was definitely the bike for us, but wanted the black one which doesn't come in step through. Jacob saw how we were interested and had them start building it for us before we decided on it for sure! Came back from the test ride and said this is the one we want! They built it in about 1.5 hours and gave us a text as soon as it was ready. Then Jacob went through all the features and explained to us in detail exactly how the bike worked and everything we needed to know about it. Shop is very clean and I can't say enough about all the people working there and how great they were. I would send anyone looking for an e-bike here, they know what they're doing and aren't high pressure sales which always makes me want to go running. If you need an e-bike go here!!
