Came in today to bicycle warehouse with a bike one of my old roommates no longer uses and came in to check in since she had let me know that since it hadn't been used in some time bc the chain was not working, well apparently it just needed some much love, Roman was very kind in taking care of me and of this lovely bike, he propped it up on the rack and honestly just started to do a full inspection on it, i honestly had no idea what was happening since I know nothing bout bikes, however he helped in aligning my breaks, my put air in the tires, since I had not ridden it here because of that reason as well and he also and lubricated the tired plus sprayed it down with some air bc she was a bit dusty. Anyways here she is going through surgery they removed the plastic piece in the back tire, honestly it was an all out great experience due to Roman, he let me know about tune ups and how often they should be done and why. Cool Place... stopped by to get the Nut for my front axial, even though they didn't have a brand new replacement for me available, the guy ran into the back warehouse, grabbed a spare one that they had sitting around, came up to the front and gave it to me.... I've been wanting to purchase an E-Bike for quite some time. Not knowing which bike to purchase and having read articles on various E-bikes I decided to check out an Aventon E Bike. A website I came across lead me to Bicycle Warehouse, I choose the Chula Vista location. I was greeted by Andrew as I walked in the door who was kind enough to show me the selection of Aventon bikes in stock. Unfortunately the one I was looking for was not available. I asked if the PB location had one in stock since I know that there are more than one location. he jumped on the computer and stated yes. He then directed my attention to the Giant Explore and told me pro and cons about the bike. I asked if I could take it out for a ride, he set me up and I rode it around the center. After returning I was interested in the Giant E-bike but they only had the step over and I preferred the cross bar. He said that the cross bar was only available in Canada. After researching he saw that the cross was available and they actually had one at the PB location. At this point I needed to make a decision because the purchase price between the Aventon and Giant was much higher from $1800 to $3000. I agreed to make the purchase. So Andrew could make the sale I bought the bike in Chula Vista and drove to PB to pick it up. I met Robb at the register and he handed over the bike. I got home and noticed it must have been on a few test rides, wheels dirty and chipped paint on the bike rack. (Still happy with my purchase) The next day I took it out for a ride, I live by SDSU and rode my new bike to Torrey Pines Park. At the top of the park got a flat tire I ended up walking my bike from Torrey Pines to the Trolley Station in La Jolla and rode trolley to the Balboa trolley stop, walked the bike to Bicycle Warehouse in PB. I spoke with I think his name was Jeff, and shared my experience. I was pretty exhausted and frustrated. My bike was fixed within the hour, he talked me into a purchasing a liner for my tire. So in total my purchase from bicycle warehouse came to near $3500. I rate my experience with Bicycle Warehouse not bad but not great. When making a purchase for this amount you would think that I would say these people are awesome but I can't. It would have been nice if Jeff, the closer to my experience would have said, hey man sorry for what happened the tire repair is on us today, I would know the tire liner would need to be purchased. I never even received a receipt for the transaction. He told me that he would email to me and it happened. read more

I came in to look for some gear. The store was clean and well organized. There is a line located outside since they limit the number of customers allowed to shop inside at any given time. I waited about 20 mins. During my wait an employee came out and asked what I needed. I told him I was just looking for some gear, he mentioned they had plenty in stock. Once I entered, I did notice a very good stock of accessories. They also had a lot of bikes, but that could mean different things for different people since we are all sized differently. There could be a dozen large bikes but only 2 smalls for me, which then really makes it low stock for me. LOL. Welp, I already had a bike, so gear it was! I needed to replace my old helmet from 2008. I recently started cycling back up again, specifically, road biking. There were plenty of things to purchase, it was exciting. Lol. I settled with a Liv helmet and a Liv bike repair kit with mini pump. They have a good selection of clothing, shoes, bottles & racks, pads, helmets etc. I even noticed a bike rack for your vehicle for those looking for a way to transport multiple bikes. This might be the best way to explain my experience. sorry to bother you, i we talked a few years ago and you asked me to give you another chance. well i went in on monday morning at 10:45am to your main st chula vista location. i was 80% ready to buy a bike. i told the salesmen i was comparing bikes. a giant vs. niner wfo e9 vs canyon spectral:on your sales person showed zero willing to give me a reason to buy from him or your store. i told him i was really interested in the niner most of all since that was the one i saw there and garnet area location. he checked said the had it. he stated sorry sale is over. i was not willing to pay non sale price since jensan usa has it on special. he just gave me a look like what do you want me to do. so i just told :thanks but no thanks i guess im driving up to carlsbad to check out the spectral:on". your sales person needs re-training in customer service at least to make the customer feel wanted needed especially when they are about to drop over $5500 again sorry to bother you. This bike shop is terrible and way expensive and a rip off.the employees are horrible especially the toothpick with the long hair.the service is a waste of time and the employees don't know any information on the bikes they sell.with this whole plandemic hoax crisis the shop has gotten more worse!apparently they can't even answer the phone now.they are enforcing a mask to come in. the mask covering order from the state of California,does not apply to me since I'm exempt from my disability as the order says.if the shop does not obey my rights they will be violating the Americans with disabilities act and with break the law with penalty's and fines.they never respond to voice mails or e-mails of the costumers.the costumers are treated like garbage at this bike shop. read more

This is an update to my last review. After a few months of waiting for my bike to be delivered... it sadly kept getting delayed. Again, this is not Bicycle Warehouse's fault nor really anyone's. Bicycles are in high demand and I anticipated this to be part of the process. As should everyone else trying to buy a bike right now. I went back to see what I could do instead of continuing to wait. I walked in again and Rene (I hopefully that's how you spell it) took care of me. I got the exact same service from Rene that I got last time from Shawn. And that service was stellar and amazing. From start to finish he made sure I was taken care of. Again, I came in not knowing what my plan was, and Rene still took the time out of his day to work out numbers and details for me. In short, I ended up getting a new bike that they had on the floor instead of waiting for my other bike to ship. I already took the bike out for a spin and its awesome! Seems like a store full of good quality products, but the staff that I've dealt with, can definitely use help. First experience was buying a bike. Went pretty smoothly. Ordered online, waited, got confirmation, went and picked up and some dude just rolled a bike towards me and said "Here you go" and that was it. Ok, fine, no warm greeting and no fluff. I can deal. I do some shit to cause my bike to go into turmoil (because I'm making a hybrid into a road bike), and ask if they can assist me via online support. The response I get for being a large framed person trying to make my bike, which can hold my weight of over 300lbs, usable in the way I want.. I get called "unorthodox". Ok fine, I can deal, but I am a large guy and have to do these things sometimes. Seems a little abrupt to tell someone that, but whatever. I go in today, because I ordered some more stuff from them, and I see I guy going over a new bike purchase with another person and was like... "Where was my new bike checklist??" Again, whatever. But when it comes to picking my items up, they slide me sealed box and goes "Here you go"... And I ask is this everything.. And they go "I don't know, what did you order"... Well, grab my ass and call me Sally, let me do the work for this "pleasant" bunch of individuals. It's not like I've spent over 1000 bucks with you. I will not be doing business with, at least, this location again. It's unfortunate because it is close, and all the others are the same way - cold and abrupt. My perception is they only want to get you in and out. I'd be afraid of asking questions in person for fear of getting looks and lots of terse responses. It's like I have to come in wearing a singlet and dangling bike earrings, and maybe I'll get somewhere with these guys. read more

Couldn't believe it. Arrived at the door 5/26/20 at 5:45p. The guy let every patron in and I was the last person in the line and the guy closes the door on me, opens the door back up and asks me if I needed service, but then before I can answer him he tells me, "I've let everyone in that I'm going to be able to help and we're going to be closing in about 15 minutes.... you'll have to come back another day." After such a rude gesture to let the entire line in but me (I still can't believe it) I told him, "I won't be back...ever." This is the worst customer service I've had in a long long time - or maybe ever. Sorry can't recommend anyone come here. Employees aren't too bright! Update: In response to the owner's response here - I have to say that the bike was not purchase off Amazon and nor did I come in for service for the bike. Do they not sell products? I don't want to assume, I've never been there before. The store employee shut the doors right in my face and I already explained the extent of the conversation - so brief, the employee didn't even ask me why I was there. My bike was with me because I was riding later that evening - and if he told you that I told him I wanted service for the bike, he's lying to you (and in which case, these are the last people you want for service or sales - dishonest sales persons or bicycle mechanics) and if you as the owner of the store assuming I asked for service on the bike then you assumed wrong. Have a great night and stay healthy! (I still won't be back)!! I don't make up stories and I don't write false reviews on here and if I say it happened the way I said it did and I quote a person as saying something - you can rest assure that's what happened. The doors were closed literally in my face with 15 minutes remaining while approximately 5 or 6 other people were let in LITERALLY just in front of me. Coming here was a waste of my time, these people don't know any information about bike parts or bikes in general, I asked them what size do I need for a chain ring and with the information that was provide by them, it came out to be the WRONG SIZE. Because when I took it to another bike shop for them to replace the chain ring that the employee gave me and it didn't even fit. They wasted my time coming to this store because I was given the wrong information about an item they are suppose to have knowledge in AND I had to pay for shipping fees when it came to returning the item that didn't even fit my bike. Buying my Giant Escape 3 was a great experience here. Luis was professional and patient. He sized me up quickly and listened to exactly what I wanted the bike for. Im two long rides into the bike and I love it. I live in IB so riding on the strand has been a great 'escape' (bad pun I know) and excellent cross training for a banged up knee.
