One of the coolest things they offer is their youth trade-up program. If your kid outgrows their bike within 3 years, you can bring it back and get 50% of the original purchase price toward the next size. As a parent, that's a pretty awesome deal. Sophia was incredibly kind and even helped us install our new bell before we left. Tom was also a huge help! super knowledgeable, easygoing, and never made us feel pressured into buying anything. Great service, great people, and a shop that's actually invested in getting more kids riding. Really glad this place is here. We'll definitely be back!

They were very accommodating from the moment I arrived. They have an awesome stock too. Their prices are really fair and they DONT CHARGE A BUILD FEE, unlike some other shops around. We went to look at the Aventon Level 4, and wanted the black one which wasn't built yet. Got to test drive the step through and realized it was definitely the bike for us, but wanted the black one which doesn't come in step through. Jacob saw how we were interested and had them start building it for us before we decided on it for sure! Came back from the test ride and said this is the one we want! They built it in about 1.5 hours and gave us a text as soon as it was ready. Then Jacob went through all the features and explained to us in detail exactly how the bike worked and everything we needed to know about it. Shop is very clean and I can't say enough about all the people working there and how great they were. I would send anyone looking for an e-bike here, they know what they're doing and aren't high pressure sales which always makes me want to go running. If you need an e-bike go here!! Thanks Jacob and the Hollands team. I will be repping your shop with that sick Halloween shirt year round. Con: Parking sucks. Only con in my eyes but it's still worth it to go here.

That made my choice pretty easy, and after I put down a deposit he ordered the parts and let me know when they arrived. Matt was very friendly and kept me updated every step of the way. I didn't catch the technician's name, but from other reviews I'm guessing it was Tommy. Shout out to him as well! When I get enough money saved to get the wife an ebike, I know where I will be buying it from. Thanks again guys!

Peter set me up with a Raleigh Capri, and he had no idea what he was unleashing!…read more Compared with the heavy mountain bike I had been struggling on, the Raleigh felt like it had a turbo engine--and everyone kept telling me, "You got a cool bike!" The difference was incredible. I went from working at my absolute limit on rides to Cabrillo National Monument, the Great Western Loop, Mount Laguna, and the Via Capri climb up Mount Soledad to actually leading my friends on the hills. Peter didn't simply provide a great bike; he shared his knowledge and helped set me up to truly enjoy cycling. I've now retired my 32-pound mountain bike, started riding with clipless pedals, and am training for a solo, self-supported endurance challenge. I can't thank Peter enough for his guidance, encouragement, and excellent service. If you want more than just a bike rental--and would appreciate someone who genuinely wants to help you have the best possible riding experience--I highly recommend Peter and his company. --Mike from Nepal

This is my first, because this business went above and beyond for us and they deserve all the love. My 12-year-old son and I drove down from Rancho Bernardo to San Diego Cyclery after reading great reviews about their service and they absolutely lived up to the hype. My son's Rad e-bike had stopped working, and he thought the motor had gone out. He's pretty hands-on with his bike, doing all kinds of mods, changing tires, swapping brakes, etc., so we weren't sure what to expect when we brought it in. Rick, their service tech, kindly explained that they can't work on heavily modified bikes due to liability reasons, but instead of turning us away, he checked with his manager to see if they could still take a look and at least pin point the issue and guide us on how to repair it. To our surprise, they took the time to inspect the bike right then and there. Rick and the shop manager (really nice guy and failed to get his name) checked everything over and even pulled an old motor from the back to troubleshoot. After a few minutes, they figured out it was just a disconnected wire causing the issue, something my son and I totally missed. They didn't charge us, didn't rush us, and treated my son and his bike with genuine care and kindness, even complimenting some of his mods (like his reupholstered seat). They had no obligation to help, but they did anyway, and we truly appreciated it. My son was thrilled and took his bike for a spin around PB where I showed him my old stomping grounds Thank you San Diego Cyclery. Great people, great service, highly recommend.

When I arrived via Uber at my hotel, the bike was there complete with a tool kit, helmet, a small lock (which I recommend they give a longer one because the bike is a cruiser/English style). When I left, I locked the bike in the lobby and gave the key to the front desk. (When I stayed I brought the bike into the room). I did buy a iPhone holder that I put on the bike so I could ride around the park, zoo, and over to the beaches. The drivers in California respect the bike and even though I got a bit nervous biking in the city, I had a great time overall!!! Especially on the beaches :)
