SS of EZE's OG reply before their frantic edits and gaslighting. They've edited it 3 times to cover their butts
Gabriel M.

Avoid this place like the plague. EZE Ryders is a scammy, rude, incompetent shop that does not give a single damn about its customers--even if you drop thousands here. I've spent over $9,000 with them in less than a year. What did I get for that loyalty? The worst service I've experienced anywhere. Their service department (especially Omar and the big bearded tech) is openly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They act like it's a burden to do the job I'm paying them for. Examples? Sure. Twice now they've accused me of lying about crashing my commuter e-bike just because my derailleur snapped. Newsflash: On powerful e-bikes, you can snap a derailleur cranking the throttle uphill (like on Cortez Hill). I've done it 3 times on 3 different e-bikes. They apparently have no idea what they're talking about, but they'll stand there and lecture you like they're bike gods. Even if they were right (they're not), who cares how it broke? Your job is to fix it. Their workmanship is a joke. They've given my bike back with loose parts (a safety hazard), failed to fix things correctly on multiple visits, installed parts that don't even fit properly, and left my handlebars filthy. For $9k you'd expect at least basic competence. When they got sick of fixing my old bike (which they never got right anyway), Derrick the sales guy pushed me into buying a new $5,000 bike--telling me it would be "easier for them to work on." That turned out to be a lie too. I even paid extra for their overpriced "warranty package," which Omar later admitted covers absolutely nothing you don't already get from the manufacturer for free. Basically, they sold me a worthless add-on for profit. Most recently, I called Derrick for a same-day cable tension adjustment. He told me the service department was wide open and to bring it in immediately. I got there in ten minutes. Omar was literally scrolling his phone behind the counter, but told me they were suddenly "too busy" and I'd have to come back tomorrow. He also claimed I had too many miles on my brand new $5k bike for them to work on it. What? And then, as always, he couldn't resist blaming me with another laughably wrong "diagnosis"--claiming I ride only in high gear. No, the cable tension was off and the chain was catching. That's why I brought it in. It's your job to fix that, not guess wildly and insult your paying customers. In short: They don't know what they're doing. They don't care about customers. They lie to sell you bikes and worthless "warranty" packages. They do sloppy, dangerous work. And they're shockingly rude the entire time. If you value your money, safety, or sanity, avoid EZE Ryders.

E-bikes at Sunset cliffs on a cold day in San Diego
Mark T.

I thought it would be great to check out the area on an e-bike. EZE Ryders is in OB, central to Point Loma, sunset cliffs, the San Diego river and Mission beach. There are a lot of bike paths and roads with designated bike paths to explore. I booked some bikes in advance. It turned out to be a cold, windy, rainy day but me and the wife decided to defy the gods and adventure anyway. The reason for a lost star is that my first e-bike had an electrical malfunction just as we made it down the hill to the beach. Pedaling a moped style e-bike uphill without electrical assist is a workout Peloton instructors would be proud of. Once we made it back, the staff was super apologetic and replaced my bike with a mountain bike version. We headed out again with no other issues other than cold hands and cheeks. One word of caution, San Diego is a big city with lots of automobiles. You will have to share the road at some point. We found that most of the drivers in this area were bike-aware but there's always an impatient, entitled jack-wagon somewhere.

My RAEV Bullet GT from EZ Ryders in Ocean Beach . With new back tire & tube protection . Love this bike .
Dominic V.

This shop is great and has the best customer service . I brought my daughter's RAEV Bullet GT in to get a flat tire repaired and install armor tube protection in the tire to protect the inner tube . They were super fast in fixing it and the repair was $20 to $25 cheaper than any other place that works on e-bikes . Anything e-bike related I will be going there . THANK YOU GUYS !!!!

Great bike with classic lines and leather upgrades that draws compliments all the time. My battery runs out long before the bike's does.

During the fitting, JT took parts of my bike apart and appeared unsure about how to put everything back together, to the point that he was watching YouTube videos for 40 minutes for guidance. After the "fitting", he told me the bike was ready and safe to ride. The next morning, I took the bike to Cabrillo. While going downhill, I realized that parts of the bike were loose and that it was unsafe to ride. This could have resulted in a very serious accident. I immediately called the shop. JT was initially extremely rude and showed very little concern about the fact that I had been sent out on a bike that was not properly secured. His attitude changed only after I told him I was considering legal action. At that point, he became much more cooperative and offered to fix the problems. A professional bike fitting should never leave a bike in a condition that puts the rider's safety at risk. What concerns me most is that I was specifically told the bike was ready to ride when it clearly was not. Based on my experience, I would not trust this shop with my bike again. At the video below you can see how my bike was giving back to me, totally unsafe . If you do decide to go to the shop for fitting , I wish you all the best luck in the world.

I was envisioning myself in bed to read, nap, and scroll on my phone but Gavin had other ideas. He enjoyed the breaks in the room but wanted to do things. I don't blame him. He noticed this place as we were walking to get lunch earlier. We ended renting a surrey. It's meant for 2, both would need to pedal but the left side had the real steering wheel. Even when it was Gavin's turn to "drive," I still spun the dummy wheel though I knew it served no purpose. It was instincts. The path we took was along the waterfront which is the only path allowed. It was difficult to maneuver because there were a lot of people and a lot of people that are inconsiderate, too. Like a family of 6 walking side by side? Who are your parents that never taught you basic manners?! Service was nice. They hold your ID until the rental is returned. Gavin had fun. A helmet is mandatory for kids under 18 (free). All you pay is the rental for the bike itself. I'm not sure when will be our next cruise but we will definitely try this again but early in the morning so we can bike freely w/o people.

Just a heads up in case anyone comes here with their whole family hoping to use multiple vouchers.
