I just want to take this time to share my experience as a new patient how memorable my visit was. From the moment I was greeted towards the end of my visit I had the best experience ever!! The staff is so sweet and welcoming. The office manager is truly a breath of fresh air. She was very thorough by explaining the details on the treatment plan and very articulate. The front office is rude, I called 24 hours ahead of my appointment and the girl that answered the phone was very rude to me. I asked for an updated treatment plan and they gave me one from last year. When I pointed this out the lady in the phone said that they dont give an updated treatment plan. This is 2025 and the one you gave was from 2024. Clearly their have been other treatments that have already been done. SCAM!!! DO NOT go here!!! Unless you like getting ripped off, wasting money, and terrible quality of care. Paid $3,000 for dentures that they didn't get approved through insurance first. They look like children's teeth and I am an adult. I'm having issues getting receipts, medical records, and copies of insurance paperwork. I have had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Ebi D Nikjoo offices. Specifically Whittier Office. They are not honest dentist. Dr. Ebi D Nikjoo refuses to return monies I prepaid for dental work. They will give you run around. not a professional place. Avoid at All cost. Bait and Switch operation. I had to file California Dental Board complaint and civil court case. read more

Very very bad experience with Dr. Nikjoo. Money down the drain. A cavity formed under an ceramic inlay. Needed to be shaped and capped. I had it done by another dentist who spent his time doing a good job as opposed to the rushed job with Nikjoo. read more

I cannot believe I have been coming here for 6 years! Dr Nikjoo is a dentistry god! Just took snapshots of and decided to post Dr Nikjoo's amazing credentials! USC Dentists are the best! Plus Dr Nikjoo is not just a dentist (yes he even cleans my teeth with ultrasound!) but he is also an amazing cosmetic dentist. He and his whole office team are very professional, kind, and always go the extra mile for me when I have a problem. Dr Nikjoo is the kindest most gentle and excellent dentist I have ever had (and I am 63 so I've had quite a few!!!) lol. They are all incredibly classy and polite. Thought it would be fun to post all of Dr Nikjoo's amazing credentials. Also found out he went to Hamilton High School in L.A., where all my cousins went. So he's an L.A. kid like me! Only waaaaaay younger! I just got my very first crown today in my whole life! Not bad for 63. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Nikjoo! He is simply AMAZING. I am petrified of the dentist because I had major work done on my mouth when I was 8 & had to be put under & this, I believe, affected me in a negative way. Yesterday, Monday 12th January, 2018, I had to have 2 teeth pulled that had cracked, hoping I was going in for a filling however, because they were root canals from way back when, Dr. Nik said he would have to pull them & perform implants. He understands my financial situation (widow from South Africa & my late husband left me financially devastated) & worked with me which allowed me to have the implants. He is such a professional, he is absolutely BRILLIANT at what he does & when he had pulled my teeth, I thought he had just done the one, but unbeknownst to me, he had done both within minutes!!! He is wonderful with my son, who has a tragic disease & this team have never judged him! Besides being easy on the eyes - have to be a little cheeky too :) - he & his staff are the best & I dedicate Tina Turner's song 'Simply The Best' to Dr. Nik & his team of compassionate & wonderful people xx read more

Truly an amazing dentist! I am lucky I stumbled across the office Tarzana Dental Specialist. I came to the Tarzana location initially for a checkup and cleaning. I found out I had a cavity and a fracture in my tooth. Dr Nikjoo did all my dental work and took care of what the previous dentist did to me. He was able to fix and take care of the fracture in my crown, he found an issue my previous dentist had done from a root canal preventing an infection in my tooth and some other general issues with my teeth that he was able to take care of. He cares about you and your teeth, he is HONEST, reliable and trustworthy!! Highly recommended if you're looking for a quality dentist. I am so grateful I found doctor Nikjoo and his wonderful staff! enough is enough. i come for a checkup every 6 months for many years now. i am a very loyal patient. in the beginning this office was terrific. no anxiety. but for a couple of years now, EVERY TIME i come in they try to swindle me into services i do not need. other than one small cavity fill from my teen years, my teeth are just fine. no issues as i told Nikjoo when he asked. i just want a cleaning twice a year and the periodic x-ray which is why i purchase dental insurance. and by the way, they never send me appointment reminders anymore. what kind of business is that? i made this appointment SPECIFICALLY before my wedding weekend. now i do not have time to find another dentist. I should add that i was waiting in his chair 30 minutes until he walked in to look in my mouth. it appeared he squeezed in another patient in the adjacent room. i overheard him apologizing to her about something he did to her the prior visit that he just fixed during MY appointment. so he finally walks in, makes mention of my buildup which i always get behind my front bottom teeth. nothing out of the ordinary build up. usually my gaps fill up with tarter/plaque. this is why i come every six months... to have my teeth cleaned. this time i did not have any gaps filled. that should let him know that "this time my build up IS NOT more than usual" as he implied. he walks out of the room. then sends his receptionist, as always, to tell me (with a very serious face) that i need "blah blah blah, it's not a deep cleaning but something more than a regular cleaning because you have so much more buildup THIS time. it will cost you $60. it's what the dentist explained to you..." NOOOOOO, he did not mention anything more than my usual cleaning. can we do this another time? then Nikjoo walks back in and tells me with a blank face that "it is mandatory." i was so upset. and i did mention to him, before i walked out, that his office ALWAYS tries to make me pay for more than what i truly need. he completely refused me of a regular cleaning. you better believe i let my insurance know. never have i ever dealt with this from any other dental office. last time i was there, the receptionist tried to have me pay upfront for my visit. i have never paid that office out of pocket expect for the first and last time i fell for their dishonest tactics. my insurance allows me TWO check ups per year. the money from my dental insurance clearly isn't enough for them. another time i had showed up to my appt and the door was locked. i knocked and the same receptionist opened the door telling me no one is working today. then why do i have an appointment???? i've had enough. you have just lost another loyal patient. folks, do not get ripped off by this place. and might i add, before making an appointment the very first time, i read his reviews on yelp. i recall a bad one about how awful & rude the receptionist was (not definite if it was said receptionist or someone else) but i decided to give him a shot anyway. but it seems like that review has magically disappeared from yelp. also, i am only the 8th review for him? even though he has been there well over several years. something seems shady around here.
