When I called, Malka answered right away. She could hear the desperation in my voice and immediately asked how quickly I could get to the office. She and Dr. Asaf met me there shortly after. Dr. Asaf performed an emergency root canal, and it turned out my tooth was severely infected. He told me that if I had waited overnight to see a dentist, I may have ended up in the hospital. I truly believe he saved me from a much more serious situation. Both Malka and Dr. Asaf were unbelievably kind, patient, understanding, and empathetic throughout the entire experience. I was clearly told that a procedure would be fully covered by my insurance, not once but multiple times. Peter is actually the one who scheduled the appointment 6 months in advance without first confirming if it would be covered or not. Based on that assurance, I agreed to move forward. Only after the procedure was done was I told that it was not covered -- and that I would need to pay out of pocket before leaving. This kind of bait-and-switch is completely unacceptable. I had previously referred several patients here, but after this experience, none of them will be returning, and I strongly advise others to stay far away. I will also be filing a formal complaint with my insurance provider and exploring options to report this situation. Their practice lacks transparency, professionalism, and basic respect for patient rights. I will never return, and I encourage others to seriously reconsider before trusting their dental care to this office. Please refer to other reviews given to this office and the new ownership and consider going to multiple other dental practices in the area. In addition, my friends have far better things to do than to be reviewing a random dental office they've never heard of.
