Our first sip.

One of my favs! The tour of the wine "cave" is a must, though we didn't do it this visit. The service is great, plenty of indoor and patio seating. We enjoyed the tasting, bought a few bottles and we are looking forward to enjoying their wine at home. FYI.....they honor our fallen and those currently serving our country.

We enjoyed our wine tasting here. It's one of the few places we've seen with free tastings, and then very low pressure for club membership or purchases. The cave tour is very cool. Next time we will have to do a private tasting in the caves.

Beautiful and delicious wine at Eberle Winery right in Paso Robles. I highly recommend visiting this winery and doing a tour. Our tour guide/ wine educator: Stephanie was super amazing. I'm glad we got her as our tour guide. She was nice, energetic, and an amazing story teller. When she speaks, you listen and you'll be laughing and smiling. And leaving with knowledge. The cave is impressive to see and walk through. The outdoor patio seating are is nice and with great views of the vineyards. Inside where the seating is and the tasting, there is one big screen tv. So they had football games on there. It would be a disservice if you visit Paso Robles and not stop by Eberle Winery. The tour and tasting is free, reservations is highly recommended. Check their website to make a reservation. Happy tasting. Cheers!

We made a reservation for a cave tour and tasting. The area inside is very comfortable with a long bar. The service was friendly and they are very accommodating to veterans with a very generous discount, wine is amazing. They have won many awards. Tasting was free.

Whether you're a wine nerd or just looking for a laid-back place to taste, Eberle is absolutely worth a stop. The history alone is enough to get you through the door, but the wine is what keeps you there. Pair the tasting with all the stories behind the winery, and it's easily one of the more interesting experiences in Paso. The staff is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

Eberle winery is a great place for wine tasting and cave tour. Super friendly hostess. We enjoyed the cave tour and got 4 bottles. Great military discount.

This is a great winery with amazing wines. We honestly enjoyed every wine we had and ended up buying 5 bottles to take home (Chardonnay and 4 reds) Service was friendly and the cave tour was really cool. Nice grass space for kids to play. It was nice to meet the owner before we headed out. Next time we're in Paso we'll come back!

If you are doing a wine tour through Paso Robles, Eberle is an absolute must-stop! It looks grand & historic but maintains the kind of down to earth hospitality that is synonymous with this region. We had a wonderful time visiting the winery & their famous caves! It's 16,000 square feet of underground tunnels. As one of the few spots offering complimentary tastings to our complete surprise! This winery is a hidden gem. We loved the selection so much we had to pick up a few bottles for home! Overall Great wines, beautiful views & amazing service! Definitely going back!

Such a premier experience... must visit. The grandfather of Paso Robles wineries, you won't be disappointed from the private cave tour, to exceptional award-winning wines, and personable staff, Eberle Winery provides an unforgettable experience for every occasion, large or small. Extra kudos to Stephanie our wine educator who made us feel like we were her only table... plus Muse, the winery cat. Absolutely loved today

We got several suggestions to visit Eberle Winery while in the area. The tasting room was packed with guests all around the bar and possibly a few people outside too. It had been raining most of the day so we didn't look for or ask about any outside seating. They offer a wine cave tour but we probably got there too late to sign up for a tour. We didn't want to push our luck since we felt like we were just lucky enough to squeak in as the last tasting of the day. The couple tasting next to us were wine club members from the area so we chatted with them for a bit. They were very funny and informative too. We heard about some of the sushi spots they frequent in the area and along the coast too. They told us Eberle offered free wine tastings plus discounts for veterans too so it definitely secured the sale for us! We enjoyed our tasting and bought some wine to take home. The wine room staff were all very nice and didn't rush us even though we were the last tasting of the day. They were already sold out of their charcuterie plates so we did get some marcona almonds to snack on to help tide us over until we could get dinner afterward. We enjoyed our time at Eberle and look forward to a future visit when we return to the Paso Robles area. I hope everyone goes to check them out and spreads the word that they have some wonderful wines for everyone!

What a beautiful vineyard this turned out to be. It's no wonder it's so popular on Yelp. The views are picturesque and they had a really cool underground wine tour. Kind of reminds me of like a catacomb. We decided to do a tasting and to my surprise it was free! Unheard of. They stand by their wine and figure you will be happy to purchase additional glasses or bottles of those that you enjoyed. Service was super friendly and accommodating. This place is definitely a little unique compared to other wineries and you definitely need to check them out.

Leaving a review for Eberle as it was my first winery experience in Paso Robles. Huge shoutout to Jen our wine pourer of the afternoon. She made my group of four feel so welcomed and educated that even now after almost a week later of going there, it still leaves a lasting impact of how much we enjoyed the experience. The wine was overall good. Their rośe is award winning but my personal favorite from their tasting is their Cabernet Sauvignon. We loved it so much we even took two bottles home. It was a bummer as they canceled their "cave" tour three times while we were there which we were really looking forward to - Communication on how this tour works was a bit .. awkward and the front desk didn't really give us a solid answer and then when we brought it up with Jen during our last pour, she said she would try to work something out and last minute, they had Steph I believe was her name- give a tour which we were so happy about but it threw off our original scheduled plans. The cave tour is definitely fascinating as there are so many fun facts that I'll save for the experience. But will say these man made caves were great to experience and walk through even for a short while. Not sure if it would be good for people who are claustrophobic as it is enclosed down there but still a great tour to consider as it's free. Don't forget to tip your tour guides and wine pourers. *fun facts: if you're lucky you'll run into the owner himself sitting out front enjoying his glass of wine. Also the two poodle dogs on property are cute and wander around- they are super behaved.

This was my very first time at a winery. My Partner and I absolutely love wine and we figured to give this place a try because of its good reviews. The service was spectacular and our server was so kind. From the very beginning, I let her know that I prefer white wines. We ended up tasting all sorts of wines and she understood exactly what I liked. Ended up finding my new favorite, which is Muscat Canelli. I highly recommend this place and they do free cave tours, which was a fun bonus. The scenery was calm and the fields were absolutely beautiful to look at while wine tasting.

When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.

The property also didn't match the listing: several features were inaccurately described or completely missing, which felt misleading and dishonest. The most disturbing part was the host's response. They initially acknowledged the issue and offered partial reimbursement -- but only if we agreed to leave a positive review. No reimbursement was ever issued, and they later tried to shift the blame onto us. If this is how they treat paying guests, I have little confidence in the integrity of their wine either. Four Sisters Ranch hosted one of the warmest, most welcoming events I've attended in Paso Robles wine country. Between the music, wine, food, art, vineyard views, genuinely kind people, and one VERY sweet winery dog, the entire evening felt joyful instead of performative. I especially loved connecting with Serena and Elizabeth and learning more about the story behind Four Sisters Ranch -- a winery built from decades of grape growing, craftsmanship, medicine, wellness advocacy, creativity, and community connection. And honestly? Finding out Serena studied both bio-engineering AND mixed media art may have been my favorite surprise of the evening. That is exactly the kind of beautifully layered human Paso Robles seems to attract. But beyond the hospitality, what really stayed with me was learning more about the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail collective itself -- wineries supporting one another while also giving back through scholarship and agricultural education efforts benefiting the local community. THAT is what makes Paso different. The people here still feel connected, and the wineries still feel human. Cass has always been our go-to spot for lunch, so while celebrating a birthday in Paso this weekend, we made a reservation for six and were really looking forward to a delicious meal. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing from start to finish. After everyone ordered food and wine, it took about 20 minutes for the first entrée to arrive. Our friend's Piggy Pig came out first, and the rest of us waited another 15 minutes for our meals, leaving their food to get cold while everyone waited. My husband ordered the Estate Burger, which has always been one of the reasons we return to Cass. This time, the patty was small, dry, and looked more like a frozen patty than the fresh, juicy, artisan-style burger we remembered. My brother-in-law and I ordered the Campanelle with chicken. The pasta was hot, but the chicken was cold, and the two identical orders were noticeably different in portion size. Because we were celebrating a birthday and didn't want to spoil the weekend, we chose not to make a big issue of it at the time. We did mention our concerns to one of the servers and asked whether the burger had changed. We were told no changes had been made and were simply advised to try the tri-tip next time, which didn't really address our concerns. Sadly, I don't think we'll be returning. Cass has been a favorite of ours for a long time, which made this experience especially disappointing. It is also one of the higher-priced dining options in Paso, so we expected the food and service to reflect that. Perhaps it was simply an off day, but unfortunately, it felt like it was at our expense.

I stumbled across Mitchella while…read moredoing a search on Yelp, and am quite pleased I chose this to be my one stop before moving on to the next city. The tasting at Mitchella Vineyard and Winery is $20 for 6 wines, with mindfully curated cheese pairings. (A fantastic deal considering the seemingly skyrocketing cost of everything.) The tasting fee is also waived with the purchase of 2 bottles, which is the route I opted for after completing my experience. Upon arrival I was instantly greeted by Lizzie, as she patiently and quietly waited for me to exit my car. She wiggled her butt toward the entrance, encouraging me to follow. Sweet little start to the day, I'd say! (The winery pup in case you haven't figured that out.) ;-) Rachel quickly greeted me and got me seated next to a heater in their enclosed patio, and the paired adventure began. The Viognier was paired with Kokos, a coconut Gouda cheese. Very surprising on the palate, and the wine definitely emphasized the coconut, while the cheese brought out the pineapple of the wine. The Chardonnay had a crisp mouth feel but still just the slightest hint of that butteriness I tend to love in my chardonnays. The subtle saltiness of the benning goat Gouda smoothed out the crispness of the wine. The Cheap B*st*rd (since I'm not sure what Yelp decides doesn't work for them), was quite enjoyable as a stand alone. For me it had the nose of what I would consider to be darker fruits and a generally more jammy wine, but it was smooth on the palate. The white Stilton with cranberry that it was paired out helped bring forward some of the fruit flavor, but the cheese itself wasn't my favorite (hence the stand alone aspect). The Tempranillo would be my grab a glass and a book and plop down by the fireplace (or on my balcony wrapped in blankets) type of wine. It didn't feel heavy and was just a nice sippable red. On the nose, for me, was a very dark red kookaburra licorice. It had a smooth, light finish and paired quite well with the mimolette (which I will forever know as the cannonball cheese thanks to Rachel!) Presumptuous, a zin, had what I consider to be a jammy mouthfeel (as I still can't figure out how exactly wine connoisseurs identify that!) It was paired with a Boschetto truffle cheese and I feel it brought out a very mushroom forward (favorable) taste when put together. For me, it isn't always about what can the food do for the wine... I love to experience what the find can do for the food! Give me a nice side dish of garlic sautéed mushrooms with a glass of this zin, and pretty sure I'm one happy girl. The only potential downside to me for this winery is that their restroom is a portable. While considerably clean, it's definitely a tight squeeze if you're a bigger girl like myself. Deal breaker? Not a chance. I look forward to a future stop when the vines are green and views expansive!
