Very good wines served by a very informative and helpful staff. This winery is off the beaten path, but we'll worth your time to find it.

Scarlett Cougar here... and let me just say... THIS is why women run away to Paso Robles wine…read morecountry with "just a few friends" and somehow return with wine memberships, new favorite humans, and absolutely no regrets. Four Sisters Ranch hosted one of the warmest, most welcoming events I've attended in Paso Robles wine country. Between the music, wine, food, art, vineyard views, genuinely kind people, and one VERY sweet winery dog, the entire evening felt joyful instead of performative. I especially loved connecting with Serena and Elizabeth and learning more about the story behind Four Sisters Ranch -- a winery built from decades of grape growing, craftsmanship, medicine, wellness advocacy, creativity, and community connection. And honestly? Finding out Serena studied both bio-engineering AND mixed media art may have been my favorite surprise of the evening. That is exactly the kind of beautifully layered human Paso Robles seems to attract. But beyond the hospitality, what really stayed with me was learning more about the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail collective itself -- wineries supporting one another while also giving back through scholarship and agricultural education efforts benefiting the local community. THAT is what makes Paso different. The people here still feel connected, and the wineries still feel human. Already looking forward to returning next Saturday for the Wine Club Pick-Up Party and seeing everyone again at the Under the Estrella Sky Charity Gala in August.

Some have Romeo and Juliet balconies the rest have sitting balconies all overlooking the vineyard. The property is located in the rolling hills not far from the main road but tucked away enough to feel away from it all. The price point for the rooms is below the value received. There is not a restaurant on site, but they do provide a daily delicious breakfast in an indoor lovely setting that was included. They offer an extensive Sunday brunch for $39.00. Parking is sufficient for the number of suites and an EV charger is located in 2 stalls. The staff is accommodating. Allegretto vineyard and winery is just down the way with a lovely upscale restaurant if you don't want to go downtown which is 11 minutes away with a plethora of choices for dining and shopping. Can't wait to return to this gem. I did have a problem with booking through a third party service, so I would suggest booking directly to ensure your room is available.

My boyfriend and I came to Calipaso Winery for what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway,…read moreand it has honestly been such a disappointing experience. When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.

We loved the selection so much we had to pick up a few bottles for home! Overall Great wines, beautiful views & amazing service! Definitely going back!

Let me preface this with this - I rarely write reviews, and never have had to write a bad one…read moresadly. I believe sometimes companies have off days, and employees may have a bad day, which can affect one's experience, thus I dont let one bad experience ruin a company's review. But when it comes to my CHILD, you best believe i will never forgive and forget or let our experience be forgotten. We visited this winery expecting a relaxing, family-friendly experience and instead left with our daughter crying after being scratched in the face near her eye by the owner's off-leash dog. What makes this especially frustrating is that the winery's own rules state dogs must be leashed, yet the owners' dogs were roaming the property freely. Our daughter was calmly petting one of the dogs with me standing directly beside her when the dog suddenly growled and scratched her across the face. This was completely unprovoked and witnessed by the owner himself, who said absolutely nothing afterward. No apology, no concern, no accountability. An employee later approached us and said, "Sorry, he's old and maybe didn't like that she was the same height as him, which made him react".....which felt less like accountability and more like an absurd attempt to excuse why a reactive dog was allowed to roam off leash around guests and children. We also observed the dogs behaving territorially toward other leashed dogs on the property, making it even more inappropriate that they were allowed off leash in a public setting. My father-in-law is a VERY well known, well respected, and prominent winemaker in Virginia and across the United States, if you know anything about wine, you know him. So lets say, we understand winery culture and hospitality, fairly well. Had something like this happened on his property, it would have been handled immediately and professionally with genuine concern for the injured guest.....especially a child. Watching the owner casually continue on in his conversation with whomever, and pet the dog like nothing happened while our daughter screamed and cried was honestly unbelievable. In my opinion, not worth the visit for the subpar wine, if you want to take your children/dog somewhere. The poodles were friendly to me, and other adults, until we saw their behavior to other dogs & then my child....The complete lack of concern from ownership after a child was injured was shocking. Frankly, they are fortunate we chose not to escalate the situation further. Parents should absolutely be cautious visiting here with children or pets. An off-leash dog with territorial behavior has no place interacting freely with guests. Absolutely shocked and the owner should be ashamed of his actions & response (or lack there of) to the situation.

There's something wonderfully romantic about a winery that still feels connected to gathering, celebration, and genuine hospitality instead of simply "wine service." I also love seeing wineries that continue contributing to the collaborative, community-centered spirit Paso Robles wine country is known for. It was a 6 oz burger patty, not very smashed. Experts would say it should be 2 thin patties, smashed with crispy edges. Still, it stood on its own, was good, and the fries were devine.
