They always keep an updated schedule on their original website: www.divinepoweryoga.com OK, now that my PSA is out of the way I'd just like to say that Divine Yoga is a great little respite in bleh Fall River. They have early morning classes all the way to evening classes. They've got weekday classes for the SAHM's and they have weekend classes for the office folk. The new studio has plenty of safe, well lit parking and the yoga room is beautifully refinished with high loft ceilings and warm wood floors. The only drawback for me here, is that they only offer warm (which is basically hot) and hot yoga classes. Sometimes, I want to do my practice but I don't necessarily want to sweat buckets either. So, I wish they would offer a few non-heated classes as well. Otherwise, I definitely recommend checking them out. The location is very convenient to Dartmouth, Fall River & Tiverton and all of the instructors are super friendly and cultivate a welcoming and accepting environment.

Having been a…read morequasi gym rat and runner for 10 years or so, I damaged a tendon in my hip and have not been able to run anymore. I had basically given up on excersizing and become quite dumpy. I decided to try the Y near my home in hopes I could at least do something to get back/stay in shape. I joined for a one month trial to see if it would work and I seem to be ok. I am slowly getting back into cardio with the recumbent bike and may try the eliptical. Anyways, enough about my dreary blog. This place is big, bright and airy (no gym stink). Floor to ceiling windows looking out to pine woods. Many pieces of cardio and Nautilus style equip with 7 tvs to watch (using earbuds). A 3 story rock wall, bbal court inside and outdoor, walking trails, skate park, free weights. The locker room is small for the size of the place, but its clean and well maintained. Showers are individual even for men which is new to me (thank God if you saw me!). There is also an indoor pool, youth area and even a Phys Therapy room run by Southcoast hosp. Too many programs to list, but I am happy with the basics. The members seem nice and polite for the most part, dutifully disinfecting their equip if they so much as looked at it. The only complaint I had was I had two morons yakking on there cell phones while on bikes next to me! Is there anyplace safe anymore? One clown was sipping his Dunkins and talking....I was waiting for the cigarette to come out or a breast feeding infant.

I wanted to provide an update regarding the current state of the YMCA, as there have been some…read moresignificant improvements since my most recent review. I mostly worked with Lu, who was responsive and approachable throughout my efforts to raise earlier concerns. He made himself available, listened to my concerns, and was transparent about how issues were being addressed. While some of these problems took considerable time to resolve, I do believe his efforts have been crucial to the overall improvement in conditions at the Gleason YMCA. Starting in the spring and summer of 2026, I noticed a significant improvement in the cleanliness of the men's locker room. The steam room and sauna now appear to be regularly sanitized, and the unpleasant odor that was previously present is no longer an issue most of the time. The locker room floor also seems to be much cleaner, with the floors being swept regularly and empty bottles and other trash being removed each night. The bench in the steam room has also been replaced. The gym floor in the workout center is being cleaned and swept by staff throughout the day as well. The mold has been minimized and there are no longer drain flies. The lack of airflow in the mens locker room is still very apparent, and it is consistently an uncomfortably hot and humid environment throughout the year in addition to stagnant odors. Throughout the summer, new equipment and machines have been installed, replacing older equipment that was no longer in good working order. There are also brand-new mats in the indoor track area, replacing the older mats that had fallen into disrepair. These are some significant upgrades that should improve the overall quality of everyone's workouts in the weight room. That said, the membership price for a single person is still fairly high at $62 per month, which is something prospective members should take into consideration. Overall, while there are still areas where the YMCA could improve, I think it is important to acknowledge the substantial progress that has been made since my previous review. The Gleason Y is in noticeably better condition than it was before, and I appreciate the staff's efforts to address the concerns that have been raised.
